While we're on the subject of college, can I just make a push for college visits? A lot of my kids at school wanted to apply to this place or that based on pictures and visits from recruiters. If you are really serious about a school it is well worth the time and money to make a personal visit. We had a grant that enabled us to do field trips with our kids to about six or seven different colleges around the state last year, and being able to just get on campus and kind of soak up the atmosphere is really important to making a good decision. There were several kids who adjusted their list based on a visit. You're totally right, the visits are sooo important. (or at least were to my girl)

DD applied as a Freshman to 3 and didn't get accepted to any because her foreign language wasn't accepted. (bad advice from guidance counselor in high school on which college course replaced a year of language.) So she got her AA from our community college and as a transfer student applied at 5 and was accepted to 4.
DD2 went straight to community college and hasn't made it through that yet!

I learned just how passionate people are about shopping carts. And that... LOVE your smiley! Is that all one or is it 5 separate codes?

You can also hit the "Home" button on your keyboard for a quick trip to the top of the page. To bookmark a thread, right click the "Actions" button near the top right of the page and scroll down to Bookmark. If you're in the Reply window, you can click the "quote" bubble to insert copied text for a quote. omg, that "home" to get to the top is so much faster than going through the "gear" symbol!! thank you!!

What - how to I get access to the old 2peas smiles PaigePea and Linda~Lou - I fixed my link to the smiley thread and also put directions in my post. Linda~Lou, when I first tried, it didn't work either, but there are two different places you have to click to save, I was missing one and it didn't save at first.

To add additional smilies to your smiley drop-down ----- like: There are a couple of ways. I was going to type them out but I'll be late to work so go to this thread that GaleW started. If you want to use the old 2Peas smilies, you should save them to your computer, they will probably go *poof* when Peas closes. Ok, the link to the thread is fixed now. The whole thread is helpful, so either go and read through or this is how I did it. Make a new folder on your computer and call it smilies or whatever Both GaleW and CaDoodlebug have a lot of smileys that you can copy in the thread above. or start with those 3 I have up top. Right click one, choose save image as and put it in the folder you just made on your hard drive. Repeat for any smilies as you want. Open a photo-hosting account, I'm using my old Shutterfly account. Make a "smilies" folder. Upload all your smiliess to your online account. Choose the "direct link" option that starts with img. - copy that Now go to your PROFILE from the top menu, choose Profile>edit profile>settings>your personal smileys - it's the very last thing on the settings page. Enter the code you have saved from your hosting site in one of the fields. Click set changes, then save account settings. You can enter 5, then you have to click save account settings at the bottom. I think there are up to 25 fields to put your own smilies. Remember you have to click "set changes" in the Smilies box and "save account settings" at the bottom of the page. They will show up when you click the smiley drop-down in a post. Some people can just click and some will have to drag. I'm using chrome, I have to drag it into a post. Have fun !

I don't get why they have "to see our full store, go to www.twopeasinabucket.com" on there? ? Did you not know that you would be closing that website a month later? I saw that too and thought the etsy store was probably just cheap advertising for their upcoming clearance sale.

Yea, now that our LSS is gone and I'm not close to any big-box stores (nearest Michaels is 45 minutes away) the chance of standing next to a complete stranger and connecting over paper-fondeling has pretty much evaporated.

Another good place to shop is Embellish It Online. I love that I can buy packs of Bazzill cardstock to match a collection kit. Yea, I always loved this one!

Not too much, but there's no way I'll get rid of my stuff. I've been taking metalsmithing classes at the local community college and it seems like I can only focus on one thing at a time. I'm sure I'll always scrapbook, just on and off, I guess.

Reading the magazines from cover to cover when came. Feeling I'm at home when I walked through the door at my hometown, little LSS. Having the feeling of instant kinship when I found out someone scrapped. I hardly ever meet a scrapper anymore.

When you pin something on Pinterest the photo is copied to their servers. It will still show on your boards even if the original webpage/file gets deleted. So glad!

I have only been handslapped for something someone thought I said. But she came out guns blazing and called me greedy and it took quite a few posts to get it straightened out.
