Wentworth....it's set in Australia....along the same line as Orange is the New Black... Interesting that you like it. It is a re-make of a show called Prisoner that was on here when I was young. It used to scare me to death. For some reason I can't get into Wentworth though.

Netflix has just arrived here in Australia. For now we seem to be stuck on House of Cards, but I'm trying to convince DH & DS that we need to expand our repertoire.

I agree with those who've mentioned taking a 'real' class as opposed to an online class. I took many online classes, I learnt stuff, for sure; but never really quite got it! I never actually lasted the distance with any of them either. Finally, I took a series of beginner photography & photoshop classes at a local art & photography college. I finally got it & it was as if a whole new world had been opened up for me. I went back & reviewed all the online classes I paid for ( Karen Russell, maggie Holmes Candace Stringham, Katrina Kennedy) yes I'm serious, I've signed up for all of these over the years. Anyway, it was both beneficial & fun to go through those old classes again, with my new found understanding & develop my own style.

I'm happy with my subs, but it is now all SC product; it didn't used to be when I first started subbing years ago. Frequent the MB & get a feel for it. They allow you to speak your mind, which can sometimes be a turn off for me when it gets ugly. Do they? One of the frequent criticisms is that they pull any threads that are critical of SC (customer service, shipping fee changes, cancellation policy etc.). Has this changed? they have a design team member who has been accused of taking credit for other people's designs so that leaves a bad taste in my mouth for the entire company. Yes, you are right. I re-read my post & I have misrepresented that a bit haven't I? They will allow a little criticism though, eg. the drama over the seven paper pre-order. They could have pulled that, but haven't. I'm not a fan girl though, I am not defending them.

@shell29 I don't think you will be disappointed, their embellishments are top quality and fun! Maybe you can use the stuff for NSD challenges and start thinking outside the box. alissa103 yep I bought a blooper kit too! I LOVE FF stuff so well made and unique. Sometimes I get tired of how much looks the same these days since AC owns most of the major SB companies now. I got the October, November and February kits. I am still considering April as it is ADORABLE! Mind if I ask how much did postage to Australia cost for that? More or less than SC ? Not sure if I should start an account only to find it's too much for me.

They allow you to speak your mind, which can sometimes be a turn off for me when it gets ugly. I step away when that is going on. I stopped my sub for a while, combination of being too busy to scrap & several things they did that I was pissed off about, but I ended up re-subbing when my life settled down. Gossamer Blue was the only other kit under consideration for me, great looking kit & Nicole Harper & Stephanie Howell are there. All my faves from SC have left.

We just moved my elderly mother into a gated community for over 65's. She wishes she'd done it a long time ago & all her friends who visit wish they could afford it. I say if you can afford it & you know you would enjoy it do it! You deserve it.

Oh yes please! I'm an Aussie & this is a common breakfast or even lunch. We use Heinz baked beans in a tin. If I have it for lunch, I usually put a slice of ham on the toast before piling the beans on.

I hung a sheet (solid colour - not see-through at all on the outside of the window, leaving the bottom of it flapping in the breeze( not sure how important that was ). We had to leave it up for almost a whole month though before the bird stopped. It happened 3 years in a row in Spring. We lived on a large rural property at the time. Every time it flew into the window it would shit itself, all over our outdoor sofa. Talk about mess!

I don't know why I am surprised when Studio Calico is again defending Anna Maria Wolniak after she blatantly copied another artist, but they are. Here is the link to the artist's instagram. link
SC did pull down the "tutorial", but the image still remains in AMW's gallery and they are saying they are not in the wrong. Even less shocking is the flippant and snotty way April apparently responded to the artist. Skellington, I missed all this, but I can imagine what happened! What image is it? The page you linked has obviously been re.moved.

You don't like what they're offering or just the design of it? My apologies, didn't mean to be rude. Life got in the way & I didn't get a chance to come back. What the others have said - the classes are pretty basic, & it sounds like membership doesn't include their premium content (my words) so I may as well just sign up for those, if they appeal to me. I just don't think what they are offering is worth $10/month (that's $13.30 AU.)

I was planning on downloading some of my class files in December but it never happened. Was 1/31/15 the last date? Yes, I believe so, but classes will be available til mid-year on an archived site, with no customer support though. I'm a bit concerned that out of all the classes I have, I've not received one email with a video link.

Thanks for sharing this, ladies! I bought Wilna's class and the Catherine Davis class. The SVG's included alone are worth more than the $10. And all those videos to watch? Looks like I know what I'll be doing the rest of the weekend! The code has expired though, so they're not free. Please let me know if I'm wrong?

I have taken & loved her previous Sketchbook classes, but was underwhelmed with the recent inspiration class at Big Picture. Has anyone taken this particular course? How much emphasis is there on the 'snap' I wonder?

I would love to get the digital kit but $20 is really high. It includes videos & PDF's though. It's actually more like a class.

Is there a place you can see past stamp sets of hers? I've considered subbing to her stamp one for awhile but I can't see what I get. If you go to: aliedwards.com/themes/get-realclick on each individual month (just above the photo) to see each stamp.
