So, I know we're all busy anticipating the election and Halloween, but does anyone know the timeline for the War on Christmas this year? Just wondering when we can start battling about that. I need to stockpile my "Happy Holidays" ammo. We missed out on School Supply Skirmishes due to remote learning, and I'm feeling fighty. Thanks in advance! Made me laugh out loud and I need it. I love you. That is all.

Ice cream...or pizza... for breakfast depending on my mood. It doesn't happen often, but when I get a craving I am reminded that it's a good thing sometimes to be a grown up.
Otherwise, I think the whole adult thing is wildly overrated!

You can and will. You can do it, no matter what. You can adapt and will. You are a Kindergarten teacher. They can do anything. If you are a Kindergarten teacher you will prevail. Hugs to you. I wish you all the strength and courage and tears to persevere. This. Sending big hugs. You've got support here so lean on the Peas to help you through. There are so many good teachers here that I bet will be happy to help you figure out what you need to do. I'm very sorry about your brother and what's happening.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with all of this. I can't imagine how you feel. That man (doesn't deserve the title) shouldn't be practicing and it's disgusting and heartbreaking how he has behaved. I can't stand that he isn't being fired or vilified in his "real" job. What a disgrace.

At least he can complete entire coherent sentences. An exact quote from Biden in April: "We can not let this we we've never allowed an any crisis from the civil war straight through to the pandemic of seventeen all the way around sixteen we have never ever let our democracy sakes second fiddle way they we can both have a democracy and an election at the same time." Ok I will agree with you that that sentence is not good and difficult to follow to its point. Not everyone is perfect all of the time. That's an unrealistic expectation. The point being made is simply this - the current president appears to be incapable of complete and correct sentences almost all of the time. He is insulting to many. He is especially insulting to women. He rarely answers questions directly. His speeches are inflammatory, divisive and full of exaggerations and lies. He does not care to try and bring this country together. He does not care to comfort those who are suffering unbearable losses - whether it be virus or natural disaster related. He does not care about the people who voted against him. Biden is not my dream candidate and I'm sure he has lied and said things I disagree with. However, he is overwhelmingly a better choice if what you want is a country that is governed with consideration to ALL of its people and is respected by its allies. I will happily pay more in taxes (although a review of the tax plans each has presented has shown that I won't) if it means that we are all in a better place. I am willing to make sacrifices for those that disagree with me, vote differently than me and who don't give a damn about me because I believe that we should take care of each other. I no longer want to live in a country where tearing each other down and disregarding other's welfare is considered a strength. We are a doomed disgrace if we don't make some changes soon. So I'll say it again, this former life-long republican is voting for Biden because I love my country and its people. Stepping off my soapbox now and hoping against all hope that you will read this and then read it again and maybe one more time to grasp what I'm saying and understand that I hurt everyday watching what this country has become.

Impressive! Connecticut has a website where we were able to check receipt of our absentee ballots (they got 'em!) but it is nowhere near as fancy as that one. Massachusetts is the same. I'm glad I can at least confirm that it was received and counted.

I think you’re a little out of date with your ridiculous claims. Even the tweeter in chief has moved on to other accusations. This one didn’t stick because there nothing to it. Today he said he was worried about 4 more years of George. Using the name George twice. I'm just saying. I'm going to put this out there - I'm 56 with no signs of dementia and no history of stuttering and I often say a word that's different than I planned to say - especially names. My brain just works that way - it's trying to process a few things at once and sometimes it substitutes something from one train of thought into another one. I have 3 dogs and sometimes I have to go through all three names to get the one I want. My grandmother would do that with her grandchildren. My brain just has too many tabs open and sometimes it pulls from one I'm not talking about. It's going to take more than that to make me wonder about him. At least he can complete entire coherent sentences. In a row. Without denigrating, insulting or blaming anyone for everything.

I love these billboards so much! They can dish it out but the minute someone calls them on it, they cry persecution. I can't stand either of them and frankly, he gives me the creeps.

We're turning the corner for sure - right into an even worse season with the virus and even more illness and deaths. The best part - the POTUS and administration (and FOX news) are stepping on the pedal as we get into that turn. Bastards. Every one of them.

I’m excited about Kamala. Tonight I realized I am not excited about the president I am voting for, but that pales to my excitement to get Trump out. I'm really not crazy about his age, but I am excited at the prospect of going back to a time when I wasn't anxious all the time wondering what the POTUS was doing today to wreck this country and destroy our natural resources and generally make sure we are even more divided than ever.

This is the way the pandemic should have/could have been dealt with from the start if we had an administration that gave a damn. All he needed was to stfu about it being a hoax, hire a reputable actor or 2 with a good voice ( Sam Elliott, Dennis Haysbert, Betty White - who doesn’t love Betty White ) to do a commercial about all Americans are needed to step up and do your part & wear a mask to save others, it’s your patriotic duty to care for your community etc. And then all he had to do after was stfu and not contradict himself and I’m quite positive there would have been massive participation. When Americans get their crap together and unite they can do, and have done, great things. There’s many government appeals in our history that were met with almost full, definitely enthusiastic participation across the nation. You know like the tin & metal collection & conservation effort during WW2. The information just has to be presented honestly & truthfully to the people and we are capable of amazing things. But unfortunately the idiot in chief has spent months calling the pandemic a hoax, lying to us & down playing it, promoting anything his cronies have invested in as a cure du jour to give their stocks a boost. At this point the subject is so divided & politicized that there is probably no way to reverse that ship. I hope history is stunningly honest about the Trump administration and their utter selfishness & stupidity. So that generations of students mumble “I just don’t understand wtf they were thinking” in history class when the subject of this administration and how they were elected and allowed to trample the constitution without checks or balances being applied comes up. Brilliant post! So very true. Remember 9/11 and what happened after that with the American people? Unity and strength and compassion. We have fallen so far as a society.
