I'm 67 and a red head which is long past the middle of my back almost to my waist. Up til last summer I had been have highlights and low-lights put in every 6 weeks. This meant that part of my real color showed. As I got older, the red became darker and mousy in color - not pretty at all. So the colors added brightened it up. Last summer I stopped and started letting it grow out to see what I had. Well,I have mousy hair with threads of silver and white. Its something I can live with.
So now I don't have to pay $80 every 6 weeks. I just go into get a trim to keep it full all the way to the ends. THAT to me is what makes hair look old. If you have long hair and it thins out towards the end to just a few hairs but you just gotta hang on to those hairs, it looks pitiful. Crystal Gayle cracks me up with her pitiful long thin pony tail that she tucks into her pocket. She needs to cut at least twelve inches off. LOL

You were both living together until you moved back to NC on your own> that may mean to him that you are fine living this way. He might even see it as a preference of yours. He also might be harboring a little hurt that you did move away from him. No matter what the conversation went like before that move, he might just see the actions and not pay attention to the words. Some men are that way.
But he tells you there is nothing wrong with the way things are and that he is not acting stand offish. Of course he will not own up to it. Have you considered asking him to meet you for a weekend for just the two of you? His response might tell you something and if he does meet you, his actions then would give you more info.
He may be just fine with a surface type relationship and not want anything deeper. You have to decide what it is you want and if you can live in a marriage like this. If so, then you have to let go of how you think it should be and learn to live with how it is. He is not going to change, things are not going to change. You have to change, either accept the status quo, or move on and get out of the marriage.

Hello fellow sufferer. What do I do? I try not to let it stress me out cause that only makes it worse. Then, I find some calming activity to do like color or play on the computer. Of course I have to check the peas and I save that for late nights. But, still I only manage to get my full 8 hours maybe once a week. Mostly, I get about four a night. Sleeping pills only work for about a week and then no more.

I've had several of these cut off. They just make sure to get clean margins and all is well after. Though I do have to go in more often for a check up where they go over your entire body looking for more.
Sending prayers and well wishes for your sister.

I don't do gift cards for various reasons, one reason being it might not be a store or brand the recipient likes. For me, if I want the recipient to purchase their own gift, cash works the best. For mailing, checks are a good idea as well. While there is always good reasons for giving cash or gift cards, I feel like taking the time to figure out a gift and purchasing it is part of the gift. Kind of old fashioned of me, I know, but one daughter HATES shopping and she really appreciates me doing the shopping for her. Of course, I always include a receipt in case the gift needs returning.

Take away the mannequins and you would have my husband's cousin's house. She passed away three years ago, and her daughter is still cleaning out the house. Her obsession was angels and she had gorgeous ones. To be fair, it was all tastefully arranged. But, there was just sooooo much!

. My question is do they go in through the sinus openings to do what they need to do or do they have to well, to put it bluntly cut into your face to get where they need to to perform the surgery. They do NOT cut into your face. All of my sinus surgeries were done through the nose. The doctor who operated on the sphenoid sinus even used GPS to calibrate his instruments. I had to have a special MRI done for that. Save

If possible all doors are open. I do not like closed doors. BUT with our current cat, bathroom doors have to be closed to protect the toilet paper. Also at times the guest room door is closed depending upon its state. There are times it gets very messy and I don't like looking at the mess. Also, when doors are shut, it gets very dark in the hall and parts of the house. That is another reason I like doors open.

I've had several sinus surgeries within the past four years. Each of them was different depending upon the follow up prescribed by the doctor. The one where my nose was packed was the worst - it was for an obstruction. I hated that packing. But when it was out the ability to breathe was awesome. Did not realize that people really were meant to breathe that easily. The best recovery one was where the doctor sprayed in some kind of sealant instead of packing and I was able to breathe through my nose right away after surgery. That surgery was for a fungus ball in my sphenoid sinus. It had calcified. I was required to use the NeilMed spray bottle and it was easier than the neti pot. It really helped in the healing and need to get on it again for a while since my sinus are starting to fill up again.
Overall, I would say I am glad I had the surgeries. (there were a few others) it helped to slow down the sinus infections and headaches. PLUS I can breathe through my nose now so much better.

Sell. It is also a pain to donate. I would not donate my used panties to Goodwill - they are not really a charity organization. They just pretend they are. Though Salvation Army is a good place to donate. While they may not be in vogue right now there are some cute things I have seen done with old TV cabinets and shelving.

He is your cat, you should take him with you. Cats are funny and may act all disinterested when they really love you and depend upon you. The neighbors may feed him but would they take responsibility for him if he needed vet care? Would they comfort him like you would in the last days and or weeks of his life when it comes time for that? Putting food out for a straying cat is a lot different than taking emotional responsibility for a cat.

I do - differently on different days and periods of time. Usually I fill a book and then change the way I do it for the next book. I draw, write about what happened, paint, put quotes and Bible verses as well as copy poems that strike my fancy. I even copy song lyrics into my journals, throw in some recipes, some clipped out of magazines some handwritten and the odd magazine pic or two and my journals end up looking pretty eclectic.
ETA lol forgot to answer your question. It does help relieve stress to get it all out on paper at times. At other times, I just have to do something creative and this seems to help.

I too am old fashioned and even at 18 would not condone sleepovers at boyfriends house. It is like a declaration of intent to marry some day. She still has a lot of growing up to do and hopefully more maturing to do. Putting all her hopes and dreams into one basket so to speak this early in life is risky. Yes they do learn from mistakes - but permanent mistakes such as pregnancy and STD's are not the way to learn. Until she is ready to move out and start her life on her own, she should not be tying her life to one person. If she has plans on college, then she still has a lot of waiting to do before all this starts.

If someone gets all het up over a particular spot, let her/him have it is my motto. There are so many more important issues to worry about. So, I voted that I would never park in that spot. I just don't want to hear the drama if I happened to park in someone's spot. Though, since I am retired now, it is not a problem anymore. But, used to be.
I always got to work extra early, but left the good parking spots for others. My department chair always got in late but she grocery shopped on the way in for her cooking classes. Then she needed to be close in so the kids could lug in the groceries. To me that was more important than saving a few steps walking in and out.

Don't know if this is common, but most houses I have lived in did not have outlets in the halls. We really need those for night lights. Other night light locations might be thought about as well.

For me it was being involved in their school and hobbies. I was room mother, girl scout leader, bowling coach, you name it. I tried to attend every ball game and concert they were in. My mother was always too busy to do any of this for me. She never saw me twirl at football games or march in the parades. Being there for my daughters made me happy to be able to do it.
(My mother honestly was very busy and it was not just an excuse to not attend these events. It was the same for my brothers and sister.)

I would find a way to make it happen. Some how with help from experts and so on, I would make my home available. But, with all the work that it would entail, I would request it be for more than just a week or two. During her visit, or before, I would also help do what was necessary to get the bed bugs out of her home permanently, thus making it a "MISSION" and jokingly call it that. Being a problem solver instead of just pointing out the problem is what you do when you want to truly help some one.
I am sure this would be a lot of work but well worth it. Make a plan, work the plan. If she is depressed as you say, getting rid of the bed bugs for once and for all would be a great lift to her spirits as would the visit.

At 18 I flew from Guam to the States on my own. Had to stay in a motel in California due to missing the connection to Arizona. But, did just fine. Airlines put me up. Got a little cold as it was in January and I was dressed for the tropics with sandals, etc. It was an experience that I will never forget. It was my leaving the nest moment in my life. Mother was sending me to my Great Aunt to stay for college, but basically, I was on my own from that point forward. I was Mothers's third child to leave the nest and one has to wonder how hard it was on her since we left the island and came to the States and was so far away from any help from her. Long Distance phone calls were very expensive and letters had to go air mail and still took at least a week or two to get there.
Nineteen can be a very capable age if the child is ready. If your daughter feels ready, let her go. It's time for her to fly.

Regarding the cigarette buts - -give the old guy a bandaid tin with a shower hook on it to hang on his belt. Show him how he can put a little sand it and have a portable ash tray. Let him know you don't like cigarette butts in your yard and driveway but are wanting to help with the issue. Perhaps a sign by your mailbox asking people not to park there might help as well. Many people are so clueless, they need reminders of how to be polite.

I ended up with ecoli in my bloodstream - basically And I was not in that much pain. It just felt like a bad gas pocket. Go to the ER, you won't get your preferred doctor, but gall bladder surgery is not that complicated so you don't need to worry or stress over who you get for a surgeon - well hopefully you won't get somebody totally incompetent. But, really you'll be a new woman afterwards.

Sorry, but this looks like an ER visit no matter how troublesome it can be. I know what you mean by it being a major issue with all your other medical conditions, but you better go. If it is shingles they can give you a shot if you get treated early enough that will cut down the length of time you suffer from it tremendously. If it is a bacterial infection, you will need a specific treatment. Also could be many other things some not so great. But the optic nerve can be involved and that can be scary.
ETA - you had a hernia and was throwing up and they sent you home? When hernias become an issue that means they are pinching bowels and you can become septic and get very sick. Did you go on to your regular doctor about it?

One of the problems with drugstore cosmetics is the chemical warfare on your face that can ensue. Some product lines put their acid neutralizer in the toner, others in the moisturizer, others in the foundations. The same with other aspects of make up like anti oxidants, retinal and other active ingredients. Once you determine a skin care regime, it should be the same if you are wearing a foundation and other cosmetics or not. You skin needs taking care of. Like others have mentioned, if you have oily skin and skip moisturizers, then the skin works overtime to replace moisture and gets oilier. My daughters had the hardest time believing that.
Figure out what she is going to go with and stick to it for at least a month to determine if it is going to work or not. Once you know what you are going to use, THEN you can go to the drugstore or WalMart and pay less for it. If she gets a makeover and follows the recommendations given she should be able to return the product if it becomes a problem like a rash or wrong color whether she goes to a Clinque counter or to Ulta.

Eight years is not the max on hot water heaters. Usually they last longer than that. I Googled it and the average was starting at 8 for a gas hot water heater and 10 for an electric. But, we have always had our hot water heaters last much longer. This last one was in the house when we purchased it and was old then and that was seven years ago. So it lasted about 10 - years. Its a gas and it was still going strong, but I wanted a larger one because I was tired of taking turns taking showers and waiting for the hot water to recharge.
Anyway, go look at the hot water heater and see if there are any leaks or anything loose. I might just be something else needing repair and not needing a new one.

my regular buttercream frosting for decorating is diary free, gluten free. It calls for a little milk, but I just use water instead so I don't have to worry about spoilage so much. Its a bag of powdered sugar, crisco, water almond flavoring, clear vanilla and butter flavoring. If you need the amounts let me know, I will dig it up. Oh and the original recipe called for a bit of flour to keep it stiff, but I don't add that anymore. It seems to be working just fine in the tips without it.

Before you decide you need to get an honest appraisal on your home. Get estimates for how much it would cost to bring the home up to par with the neighborhood and then go from there. Right now you just guessing. The cash only buyer is banking on you wanting to get out of the house and profiting from your emotional state. ---Yes emotional state. A house represents too much of an investment to not take the time to do it right when selling it.
