Thanks joblackford - so a liquid glue right? 'cause my glue dots were an unmitigated failure, lol Yup, I think I’ve used a couple of different kinds of liquid glue successfully. I’ve used micro glue dots with success.

It’s really hard to get in the October mood when it’s 90 degrees outside. Sigh.

I’m going to a retreat in November, so I need to prep for that by printing photos and journaling and making kits, and maybe doing some stitching ahead of time. I also am thinking of starting my JYC/DD 2022 to try to finish that by December. Plus maybe work on PL.
•prep for retreat •print photos for JYC 2022 •JYC 2022 •PL pages •add journaling to completed pages
October is a busy month, so we’ll see what I actually accomplish!

I used up a sheet of enamel dots and everything on another sheet but the black. I also used up TWO random adhesive rollers (I think I got them in goodie bags or crop prizes) on some cards. I prefer liquid glue to rollers, so these aren’t a replaceable supply for me and have been sitting on my desk far too long!
I’ve used a lot of camping themed supplies, but still have papers and stickers on the sheet left. But I made a dent.

My biggest gripe with collections featuring vintage images is extreme lack of diversity. My ethnically diverse family has ancestors too. I was also eyeing some pieces from Prima’s vintage Christmas collection for a couple of layouts until I became really turned off by its lack of diversity. I understand some of the nuances that contribute to this outcome but I am still bothered by it. There are many culturally diverse beautiful vintage images that fit Prima’s color palette. Why not use them or create new ones? Is asking for a couple of papers with diverse images in each line too much? I totally agree. I tend to skip products that don’t fit my families diversity. I wish designers would stop putting people of any kind on products - paper, stickers, chipboard, etc. It’s weird. I don’t need a photo of a boy camping to put on my LO of MY boy camping. I never use them, and don’t use the papers either. I’d rather let the people in my photos be the star of the page. I have so many unused products with people icons. 🙄🙄 My only exception is Santa, and even then there are waayyy too many Santa images in a single collection.

✔️•prep for retreat in September (print photos, assemble kits, etc) ✔️•complete PL pages for camping vacation ✔️•complete a few LOs of that trip for our yearly 12x12 album(5 completed) ✔️•put photos on completed class LOs and add journaling ✔️•complete 13 LOs (38 completed) •decide on and start next project (DD 2022 or other 6x8 project) September was really successful, both attending a retreat and also have a project to complete. October will be a busier month, and I still need to decide what project to work on next.

I prefer Epson printers. I have both a large format and the PM400 photo size printers, and they both are great.

I’m late posting, but here are my goals for Sept., some already completed! ✔️•prep for retreat in September (print photos, assemble kits, etc) ✔️•complete PL pages for camping vacation ✔️•complete a few LOs of that trip for our yearly 12x12 album ✔️•put photos on completed class LOs and add journaling ✔️•complete 13 LOs (29 completed) •decide on and start next project (DD 2022 or other 6x8 project) Finished my PL pages, now on to some 12x12 pages. And, although that’s a different thread, I used up a sheet of enamel dots, and all the colors but black on another sheet! I knocked out 5 12x12 pages this weekend to finish up our camping trip, then was able to put away all my related supplies and clean off my desk. I also printed and handwrote journaling for a bunch of LOs that needed it. Now to decide what to work on next! I may take a break and catch up on some reading. 😉

Those blues and purples with the bright ties immediately made me think of Shimelle collections. She uses a lot of purple in shades that would go well with those shirts. I’m thinking of some papers in her Sparkle City line, but I’m sure some things in her new Main Character Energy would go well too. myscrapbookroom.net/products/shimelle-sparkle-city-12x12-paper-pad

I really like scrapbook dot com foam adhesive in rolls and the 1/8” strips. The rolls are available in thicknesses of 1, 2, and 3 mm. Their brand adhesives are on sale frequently, so I watch for the best discounts. I haven’t tried tearing the 1” wide roll that I have, but the 1/8” strips cut and tear easily. I’ve never noticed them sticking to my scissors, but I also use my nonstick scissors to cut.

I get the heebie-jeebies every time I see the title of this thread because I've been ignoring the need to organize and declutter my crafty supplies so badly. But I decided I need to just start somewhere. I read all five pages of this thread today. Then, I ran across Nicole Bingaman (aka coliebing and bingaling )'s YouTube video, Craftroom Cleanout, and I feel SO inspired to get to work. My biggest issue is more stuff than space. I have half of my supplies in a Kallax and rolling cart in the guest room, 25% in shelves in an office I share with my husband, and 25% in plastic bins in my closet and garage shelves. I definitely need a big destash. I think I'll start with my office desk drawers and shelves. Thank you to all who have posted in this thread! Wish me luck!! Thank you so much for finding inspiration in my video! That took me over a month and I knew the video would be l o n g but I was hoping others would see it and feel motivation to start somewhere - even in a drawer! I wish the best of luck and my only advice is go slow, start small and work when the mood is there. I really enjoyed your video, but no surprise as I always like your cleaning videos!

I always love VB’s thicker phrases, so I will likely be picking those up, and probably the mixed media background pad (once I see more of it).

Yes! I enjoy doing it. It’s mainly when I want to scraplift or am trying to kill a kit or collection. I don’t scrap chronologically and generally start with product. I do have lots of pages without photos added yet, but have been happy with the ones I have. Some of my classes I’m not always as pleased with, but I enjoyed the process whether I ever add photos and fully finish it.

I used up a sheet of foam squares. I’d rather be using up an alpha sheet or collection or kit, something that isn’t a replaceable consumable. But, I’ll take it since it means I’ve been creating!

I’m planning to do this for my son (he’s a sophomore in college). I bought 2 6x8 albums from Citrus Twist. Scrapbook Generation has a line that has school colors, scrapbookgeneration.com/sg-exclusives/paper-collections/graduation/ and while it’s for 2023, there are a lot of papers and embellishments that don’t specifically have 2023 on them, so I bought the blue and the yellow (his colors are blue and “gold”). My plan is to do it chronologically with the milestones and activities, and include photos with his friends and them hanging out too. I had wanted to start by now, so I need to get going! I will also make some 12x12 pages to go in his overall school album, including the larger team/group photos there.

Journaling complete! One page to make for 2022 dd and then I’m done (just have to wait for journaling to arrive and enter it in but that takes ten mins). Now onto my other projects - should I: Finish 2022 project life Catch up 2023 project life Do more on my Tokyo Disney album? Help a pea decide 😁 I would catch up on 2023 PL, then finish 2022 PL.

My goals for the month Catch up on journaling Edit and order a batch of pictures Upload July and August 2023 pictures to my pc Get started in an 8.5x11 vacation themed album That journaling was a chore but I got through it. I thought I had some albums in my stash but I've filled them all so I'll be shopping for those soon. I have a good sized pile of layouts that need to go into an album. Next up - edit and order pictures. Well done!!

This is a lovely collection, and that owl is SO adorable! But, it’s not really my Christmas/DD vibe. I may pick up some things that are a bit more generic that can be used with anything, like some of the embellishments.

I was really hoping for another Geralyn-designed Christmas line, so I’m disappointed. I’m also getting tired of the warm pink and tomato red in their Christmas lines. I wish they’d use a real Christmas red. I do like the gray and blue. This will be a pass for me.

Yes! I love using clusters and also have been starting a lot with a tag or two tucked in, then maybe a label peeking out, then various options of stickers/puffies/wood veener/word strips and top it off with enamel dots/nuvo.

I use 12x12 for my everyday scrapping. 6x8 is my go-to for projects like vacations, DD, and the like. I’ve considered transitioning PL from 12x12 to 6x8, but haven’t done that yet. I also want to start a 6x8 story book (to use my past AE story kit stuff), but that’s on the TBS list (to-be scrapped, kinda like a TBR list of books 😉)

Cocoa Vanilla Studios is my current fave, especially the “boy” lines. Most usable is still Echo Park (even though they all kind of look the same, they have a lot of non-pink, non-floral options and great b-sides) and Elle’s Studio.

Doodlebug has announced a new Christmas collection called Gingerbread Kisses on their blog today. It is adorable, I will probably get some this year to document all of the cookie baking we do. What is also fun is that they are releasing an Advent Calendar that you can decorate and fill yourself. Love that! Here is the Instagram announcement: http://instagram.com/p/Cv0jUeCI6DS This collection is super cute! I’m sure I’ll pick up a few things, especially the puffies.

My goals for August: ✔️•finish my camping vacation album •complete PL pages for that timeframe (with extra photos and while the supplies are out) •complete a few LOs of that trip for our yearly 12x12 album (while the supplies are out) ✔️•prep for retreat in September (print photos, assemble kits, print journaling, etc) I finished my vacation album! Now I’m cleaning up the craftermath.
