Love the vaccine kit and that Dolly sticker! I hope there are some left at regular shop opening after the subber period!

I just use the containers and lids from Chinese takeout meals. I have tons, and they work well. The lids also stack well.

I still have a LOT of WA - and yes! that spinner with the paper and the coordinating little pieces of Cardstock embellishments/cut-aparts. I also loved the brighter Kaleidoscope line. Still have a lot of that too.

If you go to A Cherry On Top, they have a bunch of old EP collection kits for $7.99. Maybe rereleasing is the new trend. At first, I thought I was on the wrong website... EP had a bunch of these old collections in their last warehouse box sale too. I picked up a few. 😉

I’m so glad she’s trying Youtube again - I definitely prefer it to FB and I thinks it’s much easier to find the videos, in chronological order too. I hope she doesn’t get negative feedback from her YT followers like she did the last time she tried it. I plan to leave some positive feedback so she is encouraged to keep it on YT!

I picked up the stamp kit for $10 (+ tax). I debated it when it first released, and did pick up some restocks by IACB. I’m so glad I talked myself out of it, but for $10 I couldn’t pass it up. Will need to remember to cancel.

I like the camping collection - it’s nice to have tents and not just campers (we do only tent camping). There are some great b sides.
Crafting - I’m not just tired of pink, I’m also really tired of the “warm” pinks and reds (salmon and tomato). Just once it would be nice to have a crafting/scrapbooking line without pink.
Witches and wizards: I picked up the first collection for HP Halloween and Universal scrapping. This one needs more variety in patterns. It’s either lots of small icons jumbled about or plaids. That makes it hard to scrap within the collection. A green and white diagonal stripe would have been a nice addition. I will likely pick up a few sheets to fill in the previous collection, but not the whole pack. I do like a lot of the b sides, especially the stars.

Here’s the framed magnet board that DH made. It’s in the center of the photo, in the back. It’s an old photo—it’s crammed full now! I love your space!

I love this idea, and I want to try a few pages in this style, but there's no room in my scrap budget for classes She actually did 2 half & half layouts on Fbk Live in the past week or so if you're just looking for inspiration pages/free process videos to replay on Fbk (not sure if you follow her there or not). Her most recent one from Eater Monday, not posted on IG yet, and this one Sorry, but totally LOL at “Eater Monday” - with as much leftover Easter ham and other stuff that I ate, it’s quite appropriate!

I am curious.... If the amount of donations collected exceed the cost of the knives, who gets to keep the extra money....Mother or Son? Someone posted here a reply from her about this issue: "She said she was going to donate the excess donations to those struggling in the food industry" So, probably her son then.

Thanks for sharing this. I have some 12x12 scrapbooks that I want to go back and add to. This looks like great inspiration. I’m doing it! A few years ago I attended the Embeliish It workshops (with the unfortunate online name of embellishit ), and I completed over 100 pages that year, thanks to the fun kits and ideas. Haha! I always thought that too! I think their website was embellishitonline. A hyphen would have been useful!

I think I will get this. Being a newbie scrapbooker the 12x12 LO scares me. I don't have FB , can this be still useful for a beginner? Will the lives or classes show up on YT? I know of several crafters who only have a FB account for crafts. They use a different name, so no one can look them up. I think a big part of the fun in her last class was seeing what others created on FB. She didn't have the videos for each page. She only had pictures and then there were links to several other sets of ideas for each sketch. It really isn't a traditional class like other people do with FB (IMO). It is 20 weeks long and is only offered on FB. Here is her explanation www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTOtcIgOkdsShe DID have videos for each page - but they weren’t typical process videos of her creating the layouts. For each sketch, she had a video where she walked through the sketch and all the variations/substitutions, then she show her layout based on the sketch and covered the details of the completed layout. While it isn’t a traditional class, it is a lot of value for the money for sure! I agree that the fb group really adds a lot of value and motivation, especially seeing what others are making.

Her IG stories, my skeptic friends. Oh my, someone's been triggered by those of us who raised an eyebrow in her comments. She reposted a quote that reads: "Thick skin. Clear boundaries. Airplane mode. [on her way to Hawaii, lol] Close friends. Self care. Strong focus. Self appreciation." Then she reposted a bright pink quote with a rainbow that says: "Be nice dammit" And finally, she reposted about the Come Together For Cari GFM with a caption reading: "A great cause I will be supporting!" Looks like someone had some extra Starbucks change to spare... Geesh, talk about sweeping her own makeshift Venmo fundraiser under the rug by bringing someone else's misery into the arena. Shift the focus, shift the focus, quick! Supporting by asking her followers to donate, I’m sure! That’s how she’s contributing, by using her “influence” to encourage others to donate. 🙄

Her class videos aren’t “live” it’s just that you can follow along with the class while it’s live (new posts each day) or do self-paced later after the “live” run. I hope that makes sense! Her class videos are edited and very polished.
I’m still deciding on this class, but I will likely sign up, if only to listen how she pronounces “half.” I love her mix of Kansas and British. 😁

My first for the month! It started with this sketch, which I am still crushing on - love that diagonal through the page! sketch with banners under photos by kirstendrew, on Flickr My layout uses the "Birthday Boy" line by Simple Stories. I'm REALLY annoyed that companies continue to make "boy" and "girl" lines. This line is a wonderful bright birthday line and I'd highly recommend it. However, there are only "birthday boy" phrases, no "birthday girl"! layout cavalcade of wonderment by kirstendrew, on Flickr Love this! How did you do “wonderment”?

The slump in SCales is not due to Chinese vendors selling a floppy acrylic version to a handful of customers, it's your own doing, wake up. We're nearing 1000 pages of eye-rolls and headshakes in here. I feel like some sort of celebration is in order when we do hit 1000. Think SC would sponsor it? Maybe if they sent each of us a Wink Wink kit, they could clear them out once and for all. ^.^ 😂 and some ABM kits too...

Thanks to you both for the reviews! For those with AE inks, I’m curious how PP Tomato compares to AE Pendleton, and PP Mint Julep and Coast compare to AE Columbia (and AE Olympia, which looks to be greener). Besides the difference in formulation, PP Tomato Soup is more orangey than AE Pendleton. PP Mint Julep is a tinge greener than AE Columbia. PP Coast is what I think of as AE Columbia at dusk. AE Olympia is to the green side what PP Coast is to the blue side. I'm sorry, I don't have good lighting in my space but hopefully that makes sense? Thanks!

Well I’m not subbing to the color theory kit correct those damn plastic hearts. Hope stars are next then I will cancel. Also bought 5 months of IACB month stamps. This is a dangerous thread. Yes, definitely dangerous thread. I don’t want to get pulled back in to Studio Calico again. I just took apart and sorted a year or so of SC kits from way back, plus some 12x12 kits from when they did that size. The shape of the plastic hearts were too wonky for me, but I may succumb if they come out with a rainbow of stars. I agree about the stars! But then I also have to remind myself that I have many star punches in multiple sizes and a set of nested dies and can make as many in my preferred colors that I want! That’s how I talked myself out of the chipboard stars anyway.

Final opinion on PP inks vs inks I already own: I'll buy the colors I want from PP, but don't find the quality to be any worse / better. Happy with my colors though! Agree 100%! I still like my Catherine Pooler ink pads the best, but the CP line is lacking the tones that PP offers. PP is no better or worse than other ink pad lines that I use to fill in missing CP colors/tones. Thanks to you both for the reviews! For those with AE inks, I’m curious how PP Tomato compares to AE Pendleton, and PP Mint Julep and Coast compare to AE Columbia (and AE Olympia, which looks to be greener).

Is there even any talk in the media of a vaccination passport to travel internationally again, cbscrapper mom ? I wonder if this is even being considered... They are talking about it. But I dont think it will happen. Atleast now for a very long while. Media maybe, but I don’t hear any government officials talking about it. I agree it won’t happen soon. People fought the RealID for travel, and they will certainly be resistant to this.

I just asked DH if he had to show ID or anything. He said no. But his nurse filled in his info for him. He doesn't recall signing anything. Me either. But he does recall not showing ID or anything because he thought it was weird they were just taking people's 'word' on who they were without proof (because of the shot passport thing). He said they didn't have any computers to input names, etc so if they did keep track of who came in, it was just with a piece of paper. edited: it has the vaccine type and vaccine lot #. So I guess thats how they will prove we are vaccinated? Without proper ID validation and integration into a federal or nation-wide system when the vaccination takes place, the proof is not going to be sufficient, I'm afraid. That would also mean travel restrictions from places like NZ, Australia, Japan, China and more Asian countries, I'm guessing. That's a major bummer because you're either going to have to quarantine in place for 2 weeks upon arrival or wait before being able to travel freely internationally again. Shit. I hadn't considered that issue with the lack of universal healthcare in the US. It’s not because of a lack of universal healthcare, it’s a lack of a consistent, coordinated national approach. I had to show ID, fill out three different forms, and they input it all in the computer as I worked my way through each station before ultimately getting my shot. They even scanned my ID. It’s amazing (and frustrating) how different it is throughout the US.

Contrary to the US, we're doing a very strict age and severe comorbidity schedule. In April, teachers will join the ranks of those allowed to get an appointment no matter their age (before, it was only healthcare workers). The vaccine is free. No administrative fee or anything to prove insurance-wise. You just need an appointment. You're given a place, time and number (ah yes, old skool). You're asked to bring your universal healthcare card (the carte vitale) because it allows them to register your vaccination and vaccine received in the universal healthcare system which will eventually give you access to a vaccination passport. Actually, this sounds very similar to how my state in the US is doing it, so not contrary at all except we’re ahead of France’s schedule. We’ve got 3 phases of rollout that they are adhering to fairly strictly. Phase 1a was medical workers. Phase 1b has 3 tiers: Tier 1 was emergency workers, first responders, public health infrastructure. Tier 2 was 65 and older and high-risk individuals. Tier 3 was critical infrastructure, including teachers, utilities, food/ag, transportation and such. Phase 1 have already been vaccinated. My husband is a teacher and gets his second dose Monday. Phase 2, which activated Monday, is homeless and disproportionately affected populations, with an emphasis on minorities, not already covered in Phase 1, plus critical economic sectors and government. Phase 3 starts next week, which is everyone else. Most events have some leftover at the end available for what I call standby, so I was able to get mine a few weeks early. The mass events are set up for the cold storage, so they mostly have Moderna and Pfizer. The regional/rural events and pharmacies have J&J since it only needs to be refrigerated. Most if not all local county health departments are having events. It’s all free. The county health dept is where anyone can typically get various vaccines (like flu shot) for free during normal times, especially those without insurance. I only had to have my ID, but in my paperwork it did ask if I had insurance and whether it was private or employer provided. I think the pharmacies are the ones that might have an administration fee, but I haven’t heard of that actually happening here. I know it varies by state, but right now our supply and availability has increased, especially with J&J coming on. I feel like my state has done a really good job of advertising and rolling it out. And it’s a red state.

I love those puffie geotags in the adventure kit - but not the rest and I missed the IACB stamp, that would have been perfect for our summer plans. If SC restocks will snag. Be sure to hit the notify me button! I’ve had a few that have been restocked that I’ve done that for.

Now that they have sort by designer, I could be in serious trouble seeing all of IACB’s stuff together. As in, $130 worth of trouble. It’s all sooo good. And right now most of my other faves have been disappointing me, but I’m really feeling her designs lately. I wish she’d have an update to her own shop!

The Threshold ones from Target also have caster sets (sold separately). We actually rigged them to fit the BHG - I have a 4x3 and am really glad to be able to move it if needed. Plus, it’s in the basement so I like the added security of having it a few inches off the ground too.
