I added some sentiments to finish off these simple cards to donate. March donation cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I stamped inside an older card to send to someone today. I got some new stamps from Concord and 9th and some new mini Catherine Pooler inks so I was very happy to try them out. March cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr And I spent all afternoon working on some cards for my friend’s granddaughter. I got a new set of MFT monsters (heavily discounted!) to go with the other one I had and figured out that white gel pen highlights really bring the monsters to life without actually having to do serious coloring. This layout is about the kids from my Mothers Group. We've known each other since the kids were newborns, and we (the mums) still catch up regularly. Around the time of their 20th birthdays we got together with all the mums and kids. I brought along a photo the I'd taken at their 1st birthdays. We had planned to recreate the photo and pose them the same, but you know the saying..... never work with children or animals. It was all a bit hard so I just took a normal photo. There were actually three other kids in the original photo, but we don't see them any more, so I had to do some fancy Photoshopping to remove them from in between and either side of the other kids! I used the 'Yo, Bro' kit by Studio Jx2, and a new set of torn edge styles I bought today by Mommyish.

Here is the two pager I have been working on. I started with a one page LO I found on Pinterest, and decided to stretch it over two pages. Look, kitbop ! I did some STITCHING!!! Look, gramma ! I cut my title with Silhouette! Had fun playing with the contrast between the bright summer photos and the bright little boy pp scraps with the old time theme of the event and the darker more vintage look of my background. BTW, that little potato sack is completely free hand cut and created by me... Old fashioned FUN by Gramma Dee, on Flickr For PIN for the WIN: Here is the link to the page that inspired me: Octoberfest
POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). #1 twelve photos for Donna Challenge (12), #7 lots of green (2), #9 + bonus (5), #23 two fonts (1), #24 diecuts (2), #29 PL cards (1), #36 stitching (2), #45 twelve phots (4), #47 stickers (2), #48 love these guys (2), #49 pieced my title (1), #52 circles (2), #57 handwriting (2), hand stitching (2), torn edges (2) + bonus (5), #58 scraps (2). total: 53

KikiPea, what a wonderful way to document the crazy times we live in! Love the photos you got through the door--so perfect! And your journaling describing the experience. Of course I also love all the little tucked in bits you seem to use so effortlessly. Great page! Good to see you scrapping again, Linda. Love how you used the giant tag as a photo mat on the Last Game page. And I love how you are documenting the dad/daughter experiences that occurred when you were gone. Great idea to include a photo of her art on that page. I like the robot and gears on the page where you comment about how creative and smart your dd is. There is love for your page in the Gallery, AussieMeg.

This didn’t turn out exactly as I had envisioned, but I got quite a few of my feelings about this crazy time being hunkered down due to the COVID-19 virus. It’s just been so...odd and scary. Hopefully, I’m over the worst emotional hump.

KikiPea, you have done a marvelous job of capturing the spirit of this crazy scary time on your page! I love that you included the photos of yourself, staring into the unknown future and crying with frustration. Such raw communication here. Yet you have created a beautiful page. mom, I love your style. So much clean looking white space. Strategic placement of photos. Perfectly chosen embellishments. Love the flowers you chose for the first page and how the stripes on the borders match their colours so perfectly. Such a cute puppy. And again, the papers and the diecuts are a perfect match. Putting your hubby on a pink page was brave, yet it works. I love the blue flowers & buttons and how they pull out the background blues, and his shirt plaid. And did you sew that border yourself on that last page? Cool idea!

Meeting / sleepingbooty 's prompts from yesterday (POINT OF LIGHT) and today (DARK BACKGROUND) on the 2PR #STAYATHOME 2 Disney edition crop. I started my annual upcycled Christmas card project yesterday. I chop the fronts off all the cards I receive (unless they're really special) and glue them onto new card bases so they can be donated to the Caring Hearts Card Drive for seniors. I'm not going to share the cards in the usual way because they're not MY creative work. I literally just trim them to size. Should I count these as regular card projects for points purposes grammadee? I feel like they should probably be counted as an hourly thing instead, but I'll defer to the Peas. I got 36 glued down yesterday and now I just have to deal with adding something to the insides to call them done. I learned last year not to leave adding all the messages until October... http://instagram.com/p/B-QoEhogWvu

joblackford, if you are adding anything to the card fronts--stickers, greetings, inking, diecuts, etc--count them as your own cards. If you are simply cutting and gluing old card fronts onto new cards, then count by the hour for "other crafts". I am happy with either way.

Covid cookies for my husband’s work a couple weeks back. Background is from Vicki Boutin’s new mixed media paper pad. I added her art crayon to the flowers. Haha, that's awesome! I love the circular elements and the little black circles you added with pen. Staying positive is better than testing positive Good way to document something that sucks big time with something that's cheerful and funny and personal. I love your pages using VB's mixed media paper pad. I listened to her interview on the scrapbook dot com podcast and it made me want to get all messy, even though that's so not my thing! Your pages make me question that though.

Your pages make me question that though. Awww thanks! I had to bring a little light to the subject as I was really struggling that week. Vicki does some awesome stuff! I like the art crayons because they seem more...simple, and less messy. It’s really not my favorite thing, as there is SO much patterned paper out there (and it creates a LOT of mess), I don’t really feel like I need to make my own, but I love using her designs and elevating them. I tend to have a hard time using white backgrounds. I like lots of patterns, but sometimes this style is fun to play with. Im also very impatient, and have a hard time letting things fully dry.

My two pages for the day... Too many RED things by Gramma Dee, on Flickr These photos and the story that goes with them (as well as that scalloped white cs) are ten years old! I had planned to scrap this back then, but got overwhelmed with how to represent a RED Tinker Bell. With the help of msliz and her dd last night on Hangouts, I learned that just her FACE turns red when she is mad. So since then I have been diecutting, then fussy cutting and layering the pieces, stealing images from the internet and colouring with more fussy cutting. But now the story is documented. Yay me! BTW I was channelling this design which I had pinned last night. Found it last night and this morning made a quick sketch to figure out how to stretch it across two pages: link
POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). #1 Donna challenge two photos (2), #3 joined the Disney crop and this is a Disney character related LO, plus a rainbow of colours (4), #5 pages are mirrored (1), #7 green (2), #9 pinned inspiration + bonus (5), #11 I don't live where these photos were taken--and neither does SHE anymore LOL (2), #23 three fonts in title (2), @24 punches (2), #29 PL cards (2), #30 wtercolour pencils (1), #37 glittery pp, brads and heart enamel dot (2), #46 popped up Tinker Bell (1), #47 stickers (2), #48 love this girl (2), #49 lovingly pieced together two Tink's for this (2), #51 I would say she fits day 19 Absolutely Incredible Kid Day (2), #52 circles (2), #53 vellum (1), #54 little dragonfly brad, and of course Tink (2), #57 fussy cut the two Tinks (2), handwriting (2), handmade embellishment (1), bonus (5).
