Just a quick check in. I don't have Covid 19. My kidneys just picked this weekend to flair up again and put me out of commission. The hard part is I am too old to be seen in the office (so they say) so I have spent 2 days doing video conferencing with my family doctor and he insists I see the Nephrologist too. He isn't seeing patients either except his dialysis patients and I'm not to that point yet. Hopefully I can conference with him tomorrow. My doctor loaded me up with meds but thinks the Neph. may want to change some of those. The pharmacy was a half hour wait in line in my car to get Rxs. This Covid can certainly make things difficult. I should be feeling a lot better in a couple of days. Please, Pokeys, stay well!

kitbop, like joyfulnana said, I hate that the health facilities are running out of PPE. It just doesn’t seem right in this day and age that it should happen. Your sewn masks are awesome. Once I get through my filing, I’m hoping to start making some masks as well. I have lots of fat quarters and other all cotton material but have to check on elastic or twill ties though. Food is definitely comforting, enjoy your pizzas. I would love to go get a picture of our local grocery store and see the shelves. But they have delivery, so I did that instead of going in and about to do it again for milk. My family is enjoying that I’m baking bread again. I even made GF rolls for DD once. Please stay safe. joyfulnana, that is good news. I hope the cough subsides quickly and that his dad does not get it. I hope you can rest and take care of yourself now and put away all that extra worry. Hugs. grammadee, I’m glad you are able to eat more food groups. Hope your gall bladder continues to behave through this. I’ll need to get an oil change the next time I go out. It’s been over a week since I’ve been out. Longer for DH, who isn’t used to that. I may have to get out and drive just so the cars don’t sit so long. And send DH on one just so he doesn’t go completely stir crazy. justjac, you can lurk, just be sure to check in occasionally. Crazy times right now. Just want to make sure our Pokey’s are safe. So great to see those virtual social gatherings keeping people active. gramma, long time, no see. How are you and your DH? nylene, hoping the meds are working. Still waiting to hear from kellyr21, msliz, & woodysbetty. knutschen I know you don’t have access to internet as your coffee shop is probably closed. Know that we are thinking of you and wishing you and your family well.

We are doing good. A little stir crazy but good. My niece contacted me Thursday evening to ask if I could make masks for a friend of hers who is a nurse. She said all the PPEs are being locked into a central area so getting new masks is difficult. They were told they could wear cloth masks over the N95s to extend their use. So I had 15 ready for her to pick up Friday afternoon. When I asked her where her friend works I was shocked to hear she is employer by one of the larger hospitals in the area. I felt I should have done more. Just one little example of how crazy things are right now!!

I apologize that I haven't read the chat, I just want to let you know that I am still here. Medical care during this CoronaVirus is a nightmare. My first meds caused a bad reaction and it took 2 days to get a new RX called in. After waiting in line for 30 min I was told that med was not available and they can't even order it. Back to conferencing with Dr. and more waiting in line. My fever broke this morning and I finally feel that they got the right Rx combination. I was so swollen all over and that is now going down. I will try to catch up here and total my points for the Team Challenges in the next 2 days. Right now I just need to sleep.
Thanks for your concerns. I hope you are all well.

Happy Monday! Hey all, me and my family are good. Just took a break from my social media as we are trying to get through this stressful situation. I am thinking of you all and praying for you and your families. HUGS!
I will pop back in soon. I have been working on a new blog called Inspired Me 411. It is a directory of numerous websites for us artsy craftsy folks. I started working on it earlier this year and I am almost finished. It has been fun putting it together and looking forward to sharing it with you.
Hang in there girls!

Thanks for checking in, kellyr21. Will be interested to take a look at your new blog. Hoping that you are recovering, nylene, and that all the other Pokeys are ending this strange month healthy and whole. Have enjoyed visiting with gramma and msliz and justjac on Hangouts this past week. I see that you have shared your March pages, patin, so hoping that means you are okay. Glad your family is still okay, msliz and that you are not going stir crazy with everyone at home 24/7. I hadn't thought about knutschen losing her internet access when the coffee shops closed. So thankful for her and kitbop and all the other health care and front line workers who are in the middle of this storm. And thank you to Linda, gramma and kitbop for sewing masks for front line workers. If all goes as planned today (remember when we lived by what we PLANNED?), dd's hubby will be driving out to the farm later today with his sister, their little guy, and their pets. They have been in isolation at their home for 14 days. Today is the first time he will be venturing out to have his truck serviced (it has sat outside since Christmas in really cold weather) and make a "Costco run" today, then planning to "pack up and head out". Weather had stuck its nose into our plans as well, but I guess the promised snow storm has passed, dumping "only" 3 of the 8 inches of snow it had threatened to do. The sun is shining, and I wish I could capture the beauty of the sparkling snowbanks in our yard in some way that actually highlights the sparkle! So we will go from being sequestered here just the two of us for a month to having a houseful for a couple of weeks. Dd is hoping to complete and submit the 2nd part of her PhD "comp's" by mid April. She has been trying to fit in the reading and researching with working and single parenting these last few months while her hubby has been deployed and then with a houseful since he has arrived home and school has been cancelled. This will give her the house to herself for the time she needs to get this segment completed. Yesterday I did some housecleaning in prep for this. Dd has given her family and us strict rules on keeping everything wiped down to prevent that pesky virus from sneaking in here. I plan to drive into town today, pick up the mail, get meds for myself and dh, and see what is available at the local grocery store. Dh also wants me to do some banking while there. First stop the grocery store to grab a few wipes from their cart stand. Then I can go to all the other places with the wipes in hand. Feeling a little less safe (is that possible?) than the last time I was in town: we have had a death from COVID19 in our small hospital this past weekend. Not someone we know, but it is still a shock.

prayers grammadee as you venture into town in preparation for your houseful arriving. I'm sorry for the loss locally - it's hard knowing it's so close. Your new blog sounds interesting kellyr21Dh is working from home today - which is throwing my routine off even more. He's settled in at the dining room table (open plan house) and I'm trying not to disturb him. When we talked about him possibly working from hom, I had asked him to set aside a spot in our room or his office or the spare room so we wouldn't disturb him and wouldn't need to tiptoe around.

My first thought was if you disturb him enough at the dining room table, he will choose to go to the office to work. My dd says I am passive/aggressive ... can't imaging why ... You cracked me up, Dee! I was going to go the other way with maybe he needs help cleaning a spot up to work at. DH had a spot at the farm, but he junked it up quickly and then would work at the dining table which just ticked me off. If I were a better wife, I might have cleaned his office space for him. It would have gotten him out of the dining room if I did. But Dee probably has the better answer. Dee, I'm so happy you will get to spend time with some family. I know that brings you tremendous joy. I hope your DD finishes her project work quickly and that she gets a little detox down time as well. Stay safe out there. I'm sorry for the local loss as well. It's very nerve racking.
I'll be going out tomorrow. Hopefully for an oil change, if any place is open, and for a Sam's Club Pick up order. My first jaunt out of the house in 2 weeks and like that jaunt, I won't leave my car.

Hi Pokeys!!!!! So it's the end of the month & I FINALLY check in. Wow what a month for all of us! I started on a high note. My group of gal pals went on a cruise on Mar.1. -Yep...Carnival...yep this whole thing started while we were on the cruise. We were supposed to do the Western Caribbean- Jamaica, Cayman Islands & Cozumel. Well, the captain came on the intercom on our sea day to say we had been re-routed to the Eastern Caribbean due to 2 of our ports refusing to let us dock. Honestly, other than losing all the excursions we had planned, (we got our $$ back + $100) it was fine for me cuz I hadn't been anywhere in the Caribbean before. On the way to the airport, 4 out of the 6 of us starting coming down with "something." I was horribly sick- cough, TIRED, headache, achy for a week & 1/2 after we came home. Covid-19? I don't think so.I could not get into the Dr. until the next week. I tested negative for the flu but I think that is really what I had. There is a FB page for our specific cruise & I saw that a lot of people had come down with H1N1 & Influenza A after disembarking. I also gave it to DH within 2 days of being home. He got over it quite quickly. My Doc gave me an antibiotic cuz she thinks it went into a sinus infection. Do I think we had the Covid-19? I don't know but there were not test kits available at that time. Believe me I haven't gone anywhere. When I could finally drag myself out of bed, I started to work on the 2 LO's I had in mind before I left & on all the card kits I had acquired over the past year from Club Scrap. My goal is to complete all of them & then I will have cards for all sorts of random things. I have been sending out a few to those I think may need cheering up. What I really need to START (Let alone complete- YIKES!) is a memory album for our graduating senior granddaughter. I can't seem to get into it. I know she is so disappointed that as this *thing* (as I now refer to it) goes on it looks less & less that they will be having graduation. Ok Pokeys, I will need your gentle prodding in April to work on this. Please! I have been reading here occasionally (when I can stay awake.) I don't know what your 2Pea process is, but I usually Pea right before bed on my phone (Tapatalk). If I have a brief comment I will do so from my phone, but something like this novel, I usually wait until I am on my Laptop. That is why I haven't participated much. I have been praying for all of you & your loved ones that they & YOU stay safe from this *thing" I hope nylene & @grandmadee get some answers to your health issues soon. Also prayers for joyfulnana . Prayers of protection for kitbop & & knutschen Here's to a better April for all of us.

patin this has been a horrendous month for you! So glad you have recovered! I too need to do a book for my dgd who is finishing high school this year. And I too need to do up her book. The difference is, that I need to create only a few pages from scratch. The rest I need to select from my albums over the past 18 years, get them copied, and then reassemble them into a book. Maybe I can start on that in April to keep you company. We have not yet cancelled our flights to go to her grad. Hoping that WestJet will extend the companion flight I had used for dh's flight. It is now past the deadline to book using THAT perk, and they just sent out an e-mail saying they are returning the companion flights to people who planned to fly by May 15th. Our booking is in June. I have not yet cancelled, but it is getting ever more likely.
