grammadee , great colors! If you don't mind me asking, what collection are those papers from? They rock! I love that horizontal star strip and those chevrons too. You have a real talent for those sports pages! Thank you! I love that collection and have used it alot. Works for any season, any theme, really. And the arrows and stars and word diecuts are perfect for dgk pages. That collection is CV's "Boys Rule" collection. I hunted it down last summer and ordered it on line when I found it. Since then, I have grabbed up all my favourite pieces whenever I see them! We are lucky to have a LSS in justjac's small city (an hour from me), plus Edmonton has a few stores which I cruise through whenever I am in the city. The starry pp was a scrap from ep's Baby Boy collection.

I should have taken off work for this lol Me too!! The dogs got me up early this morning so I did a little prep before I clocked into work. I cut some card sentiment strips. During my break or lunch I’ll cut the backing layer and maybe even put them together. Of course today is my late work day They're all perfectly straight, and dovetailed too - that would have taken me forever!

Here is my second two pager of the day. The diecutting and paper piecing had been done in prep for this earlier in the week. I had planned to use a specific sketch for this, but decided this morning that it didn't work with the photos very well, so I just lined everything up across two pages and hoped it would turn out. I am actually pretty happy with it. Work hard Play harder by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Hockey pages are pretty quick to go together. Pretty linear, and not alot of layering. I have tons of photos and still quite a bit of hockey pp and stickers, etc. To co-opt one of the sayings on a sticker sheet, "Life is simple", and all I have to do is "Eat, sleep & scrap HOCKEY!

I got home and my photo order (230!) had arrived. I decided that this afternoon I’m going to sort newer (past 2-3 years) photos before I start scrapbooking.
You all have been busy making great things!

I pulled out a kit I put together during the week and thought I could quickly pull it together. That was hours ago. Once I pulled it out I changed my mind and started hunting for my baby clothes dies. I should never put things in a "special place", they disappear forever. LOL So, grammadee, do we post here and in the sharing thread, or just here? Little Fashionista

So, grammadee , do we post here and in the sharing thread, or just here? I am sharing here this weekend, but plan to add my LO's to the TEAM sharing thread on Monday when I figure out the points there. I didn't want to mess up this thread with points calculations. But I think everyone can do whatever they are most comfortable with.

Ok. The two year old got a stomach bug last night, but I drank some caffeine and this weekend I'm going to try to go through Janet's at RTS 4x4 series. I've wanted to since she started doing them so I'm starting now. Yay!

Oh my, I have SO MUCH catching up to do. You ladies have been super active! I had a meeting in the late afternoon that I totally expected to last 45 minutes-ish. OH NO. OH NOT AT ALL. How about 4 and a half hours? I'm so glad to be finally home again although it is already getting late here (9:35PM). Here's to catching up with all the pretty projects in here and then settling down to do some crafting on my own... Anybody got anything good playing in the background? Netflix recommendations?

@kendramage , I love what you did with that tag. I often add tags but never thought to add inking to them. Thanks for the idea. I look forward to seeing the completed layout. grammadee , I love your hockey layouts. Those little guys are so intense. I love it. Comments left in gallery. msliz , those pages are all wonderful. Your use of black and white really makes them look professional. I think I need to invest in some black and white papers of various prints. Glad you were able to finish a bunch. The purples on Death Valley are beautiful. It’s the perfect paper for all of your photos. I love the grid on the 2nd page. Do you print your photos at home? I’d love to have some smaller photos sometimes. Linda , I love your card. You said you thought the embossing folder was a Lifestyles brand. I have trouble with those cracking my papers. I have several I’d like to use, but they crack every time. Have you had any trouble with yours? You are really making a dent in the February challenges. ~ Your origami heart card is really pretty. I love origami!~ That card on your star background layout with the moons and arrow is really cool. hop2 , pop in after work. I’m sorry that work has to interfere with such important things as Mega Crops! teacherlisa , what online class are you taking? Neisey , what fun to have friends coming to craft together. We do it once a month for Card Club, but I’d love to scrapbook with friends too. gmcwife1 , you are incredible. My strips are always wonky and my fish tails are never perfect. I even bought some cheap China dies to cut out strips, but I seem to get those on crooked too. They are just a bit too skinny. Your dies are either perfect, or your talent is! KelleeM , you will have so many fun photos to scrap. I need to take time to order some, but I have hundreds here that I could use. But then I’m always playing catch up. I want NEW photos! thwarth , I hope your little one has a quick recovery. sleepingbooty , what a meeting! That’s more like a seminar than a meeting. Hope you can get some craftiness going tonight. THANK YOU, thank you for setting ths up. Great job!

Four & a half hours?! What could there have been left to say? Much longer & you'd have to stop for a meal. Hopefully you have a reserve of scrappy energy left in ya! 😀 I've been browsing YouTube. A little Randy Rainbow, a little Colbert. Absolutely obsessed with TG Lurgan music videos that a pea mentioned in another thread. (Can't recall which pea, but a major shout out to a great recommendation from them!😁)

I started scrapping a couple hours ago.
Jumped right in making a Dr Seuss week layout.
Just.Could.Not.Get.It.Right.
Moved on to the next one - Perfection.
Went back to the first, took it apart, kept the pics, enamel dots (why yes, i did salvage them. Yes, i am that cheap, erm, thrifty 😁), and the embellishments that i had made with the hexagon punch and seuss stickers.
Remade it with cleaner lines, and now i actually like it.
Both seuss layouts have hexagon punchies. Such a good buy, that EK Success large hexagon punch.
Now i currently have an 8x10 of my parents all dressed up on my desk, so of course I'm trying to find paper & embellishments that are special enough to do it justice.

Page 1 love alert! @kendramage 'Tag LO' Oh, look at these pretty colours! Love the muted purple cutting through the yellow tones here. The splatter and shiny (stenciled?) elements give this page a magic touch. Well done (and kudos for posting the first project of the crop, getting us all going)! LisaDV Hope everything's going well at the farm! We shall totally ignore any extra letters or typos, no worries. msliz 'Shower' I love the contrasting papers on this page. The turquoise hearts vs black lines create such a visual interest! Great extra touches with the heart elements and pretty bow. This is such a good choice for a shower-themed LO. 'Snapshots' The simple ideas work often the best: love the contrast of the black matting and the peppy, colourful heart pattern paper. Also, hi pretty you! 'Black Stripes + Receipt' This one is giving me such Project Life vibes (which is meant as a compliment, no worries) because of the photo composition. What a neat idea to create such a big photo block. Love how the horizontal stripes contrast with the large vertical photo composition and keep the eye moving. The tiny photos under the receipt make my heart so happy! Cuteness galore. 'Beautiful Death Valley' Such dreamy hues in your creative choices. I love that you went for these. The clean picture collage on the right is such a great contrast to the angled layers on the left. Great change in dynamics to keep things interesting! How neat that you included local critters in the pictures, by the way. Love this encyclopaedic touch. Charwee Nothing like a crafty excuse to ignore house chores, totally agree! I hope you had/are having a blast with your One Little Word. kitbop Oh my, so much snow! March is not for the faint of heart: winter likes to remind us it's not spring yet... We're going to need a poofy tree picture! grammadee 'Born To Play Hockey' Teehee, pastels and hockey are not a straightforward combo... But look at you, you rocked it! I love all the shades of green you layered together here: it actually helps to make the photos with all the black and white tones pop (a bit like a soccer football on green grass)! The inclusion of the social media post is such a lovely touch and will be something to discuss years down the line when our internet habits will have changed. How wonderful! I especially love how you "build up" to the group photo like a podium. Great idea for a sports LO. Bravo! Linda 'Hello There Card' Simple and so nice. I'm loving the spring vibes with green and pink. What a pretty embossed image! The subtle floral and leaf elements look so classy. Happy spring break to your daughter, by the way! hop2 I should've taken off too! "I can't, I have a cr... cough, I mean cough!" teacherlisa How exciting about the class you're on! Neisey How's the cleaning going? Did you find more reasons to be distracted?... (been there, done that ) gmcwife1 Look at all those perfectly made sentiment strips! I'm impressed. Can't wait to see how these become part of cards.

I selected some photos, picked PL cards, moved stuff around and made the basic page "sketches". Moved on to cutting vellum, stamping and sticking down the first images on a couple of cards. The sense of accomplisment is real. Didn't get a whole lot done but those first few cards feel great. It's getting close to midnight over here so I might throw in the crafty towel before I make a tired stamp oopsie or design decision that I'll regret in the morning! I love that I've finally started on my 2020 PL album. It only took our MEGAAA Crop in March to finally get to it!

Great to see so many people creating. msliz , you are on a ROLL! Left love for you and nylene and Chinagirl828 in the Gallery. Linda , you have really been diving back into crafting in a big way this month. I bet it feels good! Love the embossed card on page one of this thread. That folder really seems to have alot of depth to it. Very pretty. Great to see you working through the 29-4-29 challenges. Love the papers you chose for your dd's page, and that origami heart card is very cool. gmcwife1 , you seem to have card making down to a science, cutting all the sentiment strips, and then assembling the cards. Hope you can get away from work early enough to play this evening. Thanks for all the cheerleading, sleepingbooty! Glad you are back into scrapping. Sounds like you are all ready for tomorrow morning. I found out today that it IS much easier to scrap when you have done some prep work before hand! I completed SIX pages today! And most of that before lunch. Even though I had a one hour phone call in the middle of it. I plan to put up your Saturday challenges soon (as that morning is already half gone in Australia!) It will give some evening scrappers on this continent a chance to at least do some prep work this evening as well.
