Page 2 love alert (with Norah Jones playing in the background for extra love-y feels)! grammadee 'Work Hard Play Harder' Be still my heart, you recreated the rink! This is stinkin' adorable (especially with that super cute penguin teammate)... I'm so impressed with your work. The ice swooshes (technical term gallore ) with the little hearts are such a vibrant element in here: they really help the eye progress further into the story you've documented. Absolutely love the picture composition you created to fill the middle zone. (I'm clearly not an ice hockey expert in case you hadn't figured it out yet *laughs at self*) Just love-love-love that you focused on the entire story from left to right: from carrying the large bag in to that happy, slightly tired face at the end! nylene 'Little Fashionista' Look, before I can begin to comment the LO, it needs to be said: Swayzee is total doll! What a pretty mosaic of overlapping pattern papers in the background, I so love the effect. Beautiful, soft colour associations. The die-cut outfits are adorable. I love how the four colours you selected sort of represent the four seasons, mimicking her outfits (romper for warm weather, T-shirt for spring and autumn, long-sleeved T-shirt and leggings for winter). Great job! 'Happy Birthday Card' What a pretty gatefold card, nylene. The moon and planet "locking over" the rocket is a wonderful touch. I love that you decided to keep it light with the addition of white cardstock: it makes all the astronomical elements pop that much more! Especially love all the attention to detail right down to the rosy cheeks on the astronaut. And happy birthday to Topher! Linda 'Origami Heart Card' What a cute origami heart! I love the striking simplicity of letting that bright red and white take centre stage. The embossed red background with those soft, rounded swirls is just the right contrast to the sharp lines of the heart. Great balance all around! 'Comedy Knight' What a great scrap goodie selection to document what looks like a special night. I love all the celestial touches here to emphasise the magic of the event you scrapped. The muted purple is the perfect tone to tie photos and pattern paper together. thwarth Oh no, a sick toddler is no fun (especially for the little one)! I hope the stomach bug is on its way out soon. May the coffee be strong and the toddler naps long. LavenderLayoutLady The only reason I powered through it is because there was food... And wine. It turned into something bigger for all the right reasons (client loves our work, yay) but I was *so* not prepared for it. I kept texting my SO how it was taking "a bit" more time than expected. Love that you managed to make your Dr Seuss LO work in the end: it takes putting something aside for a bit to be able to make it work sometimes. I'm just like you: clean lines often make my heart feel content and satisfied. And when you love something, you ought to embrace it. Make that hexagon punch get a work-out, I say.

Thanks for all the cheerleading, sleepingbooty! Glad you are back into scrapping. Sounds like you are all ready for tomorrow morning. I found out today that it IS much easier to scrap when you have done some prep work before hand! I completed SIX pages today! And most of that before lunch. Even though I had a one hour phone call in the middle of it. I plan to put up your Saturday challenges soon (as that morning is already half gone in Australia!) It will give some evening scrappers on this continent a chance to at least do some prep work this evening as well. It took a while but I'm back, baby! Feels really good to be back in the scrappy swing. I'm so impressed with your SIX(!) pages today. You're going to leave us blinking in the dust if you continue like this. I think right now is the perfect time to post Saturday's challenges. Down under Peas can use them, EuroPeas wake up to them and American Peas start thinking about what they have in their stash for tomorrow... I will let you put in the link to your Saturday Sketch! Can't wait to see your next hockey pages, by the way.

I will be your host for Saturday. I selected these from sleepingbooty 's MEGAAAcrop challenges for "my" day. Thought I would also follow her lead in posting them when Down Under peas can still have most of the day to work on them. 1. Saturday Technique challenge: Use a brush! | Let's get messy! Get a brush (any kind, including brush pens) out and use it as a tool for your project: splatter ink, paint a watercolour wash background, handletter a sentiment or title, colour in an image, doodle, etc. Set your inner Van Gogh free and have some artistic fun for this challenge. 2. Saturday Theme challenge:The month of Mars | March was named after Mars, the Roman god of war and agriculture. Make a project that includes something related to this: any type of game/opposition (sports, spelling bee contests, political debates/elections, etc.), anything related to using a strategy (kids applying for colleges, renovation plans for your home, board games, etc.), gardening, growth or change in nature. 3. Saturday Colour challenge:
Metallics | Include metallics on your project: gold, silver, bronze but also the trendier shades like rose gold or copper. Extra kudos if you can make these the focal colour point! Here is the page I created with these challenges. I brushed transfer gel on black cs and ran it through the Minc with silver foil sheets. Hockey is a sport I believe MARS would have enjoyed: it's a battle! I used some METAL foil sheets that had been in my stash for years, and cut them into stars for the border. Silver, Baby! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I used a sketch for this, and that is posted in the Gallery and in The Sketchy Saturday Challenge for this week. Also, speaking of Saturday, we have a couple of Hangout sessions planned. If you are crafting tomorrow (or even if you would just like to drop in and say "Hi!", the details are in THIS HANGOUTS THREAD where you will find the times and the links to join in the conversation. Happy crafting, croppers!

Home from a work, three day substitute stint so a bit tired. DH will do the pick up and weight in with DS for the wrestling tournament tomorrow. I will be off doing that, but like kitbop I will have some down time to check in, just not from my craft table.
Thought through some layouts I have kits ready to go while at work. Kids were self-directed for the most part, although some redirection was required on occasion. Some really great creating going on already! Wow, I'm impressed.

I’m not able to scrap until later tomorrow (Saturday), but just wanted to pop in. Wanted to share that the photo printer Mpix is having 50% off of 4x6 prints this weekend. So as I go thru and find I need photos printed, going to make an order. grammadee love all the hockey pages! I come from a hockey family. Happy scrapping ladies!

Well, I have not been scrapbooking at all. Instead, I have been working on creating products for my store. Being a srapbooker has really really helped. 1. I am really good at eyeing things. So I rarely need to use the arrange function in powerpoint. 2. Figuring out where to put cute clipart is not a problem. Notice the rule of thirds? And for this one I was chanelling Shimelle, who likes to put her circles off the edge. Now if only knowing how to use Powerpoint and thinking of good content were that easy!

I'm back and I'm trying to choose photos and papers for Sunday. I'm hoping I might be able to get a tiny bit of something done tomorrow morning before I have to leave for the day, but honestly I'll probably just be shuffling papers and being indecisive. It's one of my many talents.

Checking in to see what the challenges are so far. Love the work that has been done. Not sure if I will get anything done tonight because we are organizing for a baseball tournament tomorrow. But hoping to get some things done either today or tomorrow.

joyfulnana , I think you need to give Rudy a hug from all the Peas. I know we all enjoy his photos, stories and antics. Have fun tonight. sleepingbooty and grammadee , in doing the Mega challenges do all 3 challenges need to be on the same layout? I think they are more like prompts, that you can use one, two or all three on one LO or card, or do one prompt on a single page etc. I did all three on one LO b/c they fit with my hockey theme. If you are wondering about team points, sleepingbooty's Challenge #25 says: "MEGA CROP Challenges | Take 1 point for each special MEGA Crop challenge met (will be posted in the MEGA Crop thread during the crop weekend, March 6-8). Can be completed throughout the month (but you get double per grammadee 's challenge #3 if you do during the weekend )." So it looks like take on one, two or all three at once--or even up to 9 with Friday & Saturday and when Sunday's challenges drop in--on any number of projects they apply to...

No layouts yet but I did work in my memory planner.
I finally sat down and did my niece’s card & my nephew’s card that I’ve been meaning to do since last Sunday. Now half past midnight I’m gonna call it a night.

I love the bold flags and diamonds. And the matting on the Halloween page pulls the colors perfectly from the pattern paper. Chinagirl828 So, so beautiful! I love how the photo is the absolute star of that page, and all the touches of rose color around the page accentuate it.

Looks like there has been a lot of productivity already. I created 2 pages yesterday before running around. This one is just how I'm feeling lately. dOverwhelmed by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr I decided to start a book for inspiring messages. I'll create it in 12x12 but print it in 6x6 and make a mini. dSeeThe-Good by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr joyfulnana , I'm in northern Michigan this weekend, although DH said they got snow even in southern Michigan yesterday. Today should be in the 40s and tomorrow over 50. I hope to go out tomorrow and enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Today I'm just going to be a vegetable and relax. Linda, glad to see you creating again.
