Interesting.....
Has anyone heard any announcements about this development? Does this mean the Bible quote is gone as well as the pink? I didn’t look closely at the link (sorry) Do we hate Hero Arts now??

And miss petunia is still a beast. I’ve never purchased one and I never will. I don’t reward that kind of asinine behavior.
I love Hero though.

That’s a bummer they are partnering up

That sucks. I don't buy a lot of hero arts, to be honest, but they've always been very inclusive and helpful to other small companies and expressed their concern when sizzix started suing everyone. This is like a kick in the teeth to companies like Tonic (and Tim Holtz), Hampton Arts, WRMK and others who tried to market their own version of a stamp positioner.

I saw this pop up in the new section at sb.com and was pretty surprised by it. I have a lil Timmy that meets my needs, and I still wouldn't be choosing the misti even if I was in the market for a new one.

The only thing I would consider buying is the pack of corner magnet pieces. I haven't found an easy/reliable substitute for that for my Timmy stamp platforms. But I don't think I could bring myself to buy them.

Wasn't that part of their settlement or am I confusing Hero Arts with another company Ugly Petunia went after?
Here's to hoping the plastic lid will stop cracking with HA manufacturing it!

The Hero Arts ones don’t have the “improvements” that MISTI was touting at Creativation. It’s weird there is a newer version, but Hero’s is the old.

I don't think she sued hero arts. They never had a stamp positioner that I know of. Sizzix is suing hero arts though-because of the dies.

I thought I remembered something like that but don't remember the details. Not sure why Rotten Petunia would be suing HA. But I specifically remember HA was going to partner with Misti and there was a thread or post about it.

Holy jalapenos Batman, they want 20$ for two bar magnets?!!? Are they insane? Those things are like a buck a pop if you order them online!

Do we hate Hero Arts now?? I base my purchases on my own experiences and need for a product. I don't avoid a company or product becuase of what I read here. I won't buy a MISTI but Hero Arts selling it won't stop me from purchasing other products from them if it's something I want and the price is right.
FYI- the comment may have been sarcasm but you don't know from reading written words.

I was thinking the same thing, although I could be confused. I won’t blame any company for trying to survive a lawsuit, but there is no way I would buy a MISTI. I own both Tim Holtz platforms and the Stampin’ Up platform. I’m happy with what I’ve got. Are there any updates as far as the lawsuit that MSP brought against SU?

I thought the settlement was with Tonic/Tim. That they could sell out of whatever they had in the states and would keep selling overseas, and they were supposed to partner on a new model for the states. Do I remember right, that Hero was the first company where you could buy the thing other than direct from her?
I'll still order from hero; love some of their stuff and every once in a while, there's a kit I can't live without. But any Misti/MSP is off the table for me.

whatever, never bought from either company. I agree with what rosyposy said. Stinky Petunia could be partnering with HA for financial reasons, more exposure etc.

I have the stamparatus from Stampin Up along with the Tim Holtz one...SU one is WAY better IMO. I have the midsize pink thing, and it has been languishing on a shelf ever since I got my Stamparatus a year or so ago. Love the Stamparatus, much better for me than the pink thing, particularly for layering stamps. I can get all of my stamps onto each side of the two lids lined up once, then stamp a bunch of layered images super fast! Not impressed with the HA stamp tool.

it could be that Hero Arts is hoping to make some extra money. Lawsuits can be expensive. I’ll still buy their products but would never buy anything Miss Petunia was selling. I’d go back to using acrylic blocks first.

I am trying really hard not to buy one, but I want the large size because I have quite a number of huge stamps Carabelle Studios stamps. None of the other manufacturers make one that is large enough. I will continue to try to resist

I bought a Misti before she went ugly. I also have the TH regular size platform. I prefer the Misti but would ever recommend it because of her behavior.
