I also enjoyed After Life with Ricky Gervais on Netflix.
On Prime, the only thing I've really watched is Upload. It's from the creator of the Office.

I'll add another vote for The Queen's Gambit on Netflix! We finished it last night and I was sorry to see it end. Both actresses played the part of Beth to perfection.

We watched the movie Dark River with Ruth Wilson. I do not recommend this movie. It was sometimes hard to follow and very depressing. The scenery was gorgeous though.
We are still enjoying The Undoing on HBO with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant. We keep going back and forth as to who *did it*.
Can't wait for The Crown to drop on Sunday on Netflix!!

I did a quick binge of season 1 of Little America on Apple +. I really loved it. It was an anthology of 8 different immigrant stories that had been featured in a magazine. Each are very different, but all are heartwarming. Will definitely be watching season 2.

DD and I have been watching old seasons of The Amazing Race on Hulu. She was too young to watch when they first aired and it has fun for me to remember old favorites like Kevin & Drew (Season 1) and Oswald & Danny (Season 2). I'm also watching GBBS and Giri/Haji on Netflix. I'm going to spoiler box this next recommendation because it could be a trigger for anyone that has been touched by sexual abuse. DH and I watched Because We Are Girls on Prime. It is an excellent documentary that tells the story of three immigrant sisters breaking their silence decades after being sexually abused by an older relative when they were children.

Last night my mum put me onto a fabulous British sitcom called 'Mum'. I watched 5 episodes in one night. I can't believe that I hadn't heard about this show before. It is a BBC show and is being shown on ABC here. scrappintoee I think you would *LOVE* it! Wikipedia says that is was shown on PBS in the US. You should see if you can find it anywhere. *Not to be confused with the US sitcom 'Mom', which I also like, but they're completely different.

I'm on a huge Ricky Gervais / Stephen Merchant kick !!! The more I watch their shows, the more I think they're both comic geniuses!!!! I'm almost done with BBC "Office", season 2, and don't want it to end. Last week, I finished "Extras"---omg----HILARIOUS!!! There's ANOTHER hilarious series they did called "Life Is Short"---also brilliant! I just LOVE all the awkward, weird moments in these shows !!! I'm thinking of starting a thread about "Extras"----any other fans here? OMG, how did I not know about this show before ?
In between the funny ones, I'm also slowly watching "After Life."
I love how Ricky Gervais can be so funny, but is also a very convincing dramatic actor.

DD and I have been watching Instant Hotel. It's a fun reality show from Australia that has people that own Instant Hotels (Air BnB) competing against each other for the title of best Instant Hotel. They have to stay at each others locations and vote on different criteria. It is fluff and fun.

I seriously want to stay in the older couple's place from season 2 I think, the one that's like a retro garage in the wine country?
Heck, I'd stay in almost any of them except for maybe that couple of gentlemen who talked trash about everyone else's place, but their own ended up being rather tacky and filled with dust collecting whatnot.

I am late to this thread and need to figure out how I can convert everyone's suggestions into a list!
Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I am enjoying This Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. He gets more personal with those he is interviewing and I think he is much more relaxed.

I am late to this thread and need to figure out how I can convert everyone's suggestions into a list! I do it the old fashioned way with an Excel spreadsheet. I put the name of the show, whether it's Netflix, Prime, etc. And the other columns are if we tried it and didn't like it or if we've watched the entire series.

Ricky Gervais sends his friend, Karl Pilkington, to all these far-off places around the globe. Karl hates to travel, and it's so funny. Ricky and Stephen Merchant keep tabs on his travel from their office.

Brilliantly acted and tugs the heart strings. The brother’s wife is horrifically and perfectly ghastly. Do you watch Ozark - Peter Mullan plays Jacob Snell in that and it could not be a more different type of character than sensitive, lovely Michael. He’s a brilliant actor. He’s from a town just a few miles north of me.

BUT, I've changed my mind because of something else I discovered with the three of them. "The Ricky Gervais Show" (Can't remember if it's on Prime or Netflix, but it's also on you-tube) has the three of them having these hilarious conversations. I wasn't going to watch it, because it's animated and I just thought it would be dumb. OMG, I was so wrong .... Karl Pilkington is SO fun to listen to, and the way Ricky and Stephen react to him is also very fun.

We watched Hillbilly Elegy which just dropped on Netflix. I had read the book, my dh has not but we both thought it was a good movie. It’s rated a 6 on IMDB which I think it a bit low. The acting is really good, Glenn Close really is almost unrecognizable. As far as book comparisons, I think the movie followed the family’s story, but barely skimmed the surface of the greater theme of generational poverty. Still it was a good adaptation.

I've watched a few of the David Letterman shows - it's really good. Jerry Seinfeld has one "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" also really good!! It's more of a chat than a interview but it's fun, especially if you like the guest. I watched Stay over the weekend which was interesting. The Undoing on HBO is excellent - there's just one episode left. There's a cliffhanger at the end of each episode and I am just not use to waiting a week to see what happens. ha! I have The Queen's Gambit and Power (on Starz) on deck. A four day weekend and no desire to wear a mask (ie staying home as much as possible) will give me ample time to watch some new shows.

We're loving Orphan Black, Tatiana Maslany is amazing.
Not a show but I watched Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, if you want something fluffy it's a must watch. The 80s pop video at the beginning is genius.

This is very specific, but too good not to mention: Chef's Table on Netflix, Season 4, Episode 3, Jordi Roca. Such a joyous, positive thing to watch in such a negative world.

We just finished Season 1 of The Third Day on HBO. Interesting if you’re looking to watch something about strange people living in a very strange cult on a small island (fiction). Jude Law is not very good in it.
