Last night DH, DS and I watched the first episode of Alone. Good Lord, we were scared silly for those guys. I’ve watched all the seasons and they are good! I kind of went on a binge and would watch 3 episodes each night lol. There were definitely more seasons more interesting than others but pretty much enjoyed them all. I agree. All have at least a few contestants we really liked. My least favorite is Season 4 Pairs (family member teams so brothers, spouses, father/son) but you really want to watch the all first four Seasons before Season 5: Redemption. We watched and enjoyed Dolly Parton: Here I Am. Also finished The Queen's Gambit and it drove me nuts to see Sam from Love Actually playing a grown man. I swear he still looks like a twelve year old!

Is The Bodyguard (show not movie) on Netflix or one of the other streaming services? Sounds good! It was on Netflix when we watched it a while back.

Started The Flight Attendant on HBO. In the description it is written up as a comedy, drama, thriller. The book is not a comedy, so not sure I’m loving the adaption. Really liked the book so planning to stick it out awhile longer. My daughter and I watched that this week. I didn't know it was a book, so I can see how that would color your expectations. I totally and completely LOVED it. I loved the comedy in it and I loved the actors and I suspect everyone!! I have a million theories and can't wait until tomorrow for two more episodes to drop. I travel a lot so honestly, the terror she has in the opening is so completely comprehensible. There were a few things that I was a little WTF at, but mostly, it was pretty incredible. I highly recommend.

Glad to hear you like it, we'll give it a shot. I do like it, it’s following the plot of the book well so far, it’s just trying to get the (dark)comedic vibe that wasn’t in the book. Feeling a bit thrown. But I think this is 10 episodes so guessing I’ll like it more as it goes on.

If you have Comcast/Xfinity wait until the show is finished then binge watch the next time they have the free HBO week! Or read the book!

You might want to find 7 days where you're not doing a lot and go for it then. The whole season drops before Christmas. I'm guessing since it was a book (and now I want to read it!), that HOPEFULLY, we'll have resolution at the end.

We just finished the 4th season of Fargo on FX. Truthfully it was our least favorite season of the 4.

If you are into British mystery/detective series, a new favorite is New Tricks. A new division is formed with a female head and three guys who had been put out to pasure, each one with a quirk or two (or three). It is fun to watch Yesss...... "New Tricks" is a gem, isn't it? Last night my mum put me onto a fabulous British sitcom called 'Mum'. I watched 5 episodes in one night. I can't believe that I hadn't heard about this show before. It is a BBC show and is being shown on ABC here. scrappintoee I think you would *LOVE* it AussieMeg ....THANK YOU for telling me about "Mum!" I'm only halfway through the first epi, and....LOL at all the AWKWARD people gathering at her house before the funeral !!!!!! Her son's girlfriend: " can I borrow some knickers?" Mum's reaction to everyones' weird / rude / self-centered comments are the best, too! "Mum" trailer :

We finished The Undoing (HBO) last night. Wow, what a wild ride! With every little twist we changed our mind on who the killer was. Every time I watch Nicole Kidman in a series or movie, I am reminded how stunningly beautiful she is. And that hair. I saw an article discussing this series and one talking point was her coats and how wonderful they were. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-55159824

LET HIM GO - 4 Stars (‘20 AppleTv / AmazonPrime / Vudu)
With Kevin Costner & Diane Lane. Tense drama; grandparents vs backwoods cult. Following the loss of their son, a retired sheriff and his wife leave their Montana ranch to rescue their young grandson from the clutches of a dangerous family living off the grid in the Dakotas.

Happened to catch WONDER (‘17) on TBS and it was awesome. I read the book years ago and loved it too ! Highly recommend.
We also finally started THE QUEENS GAMBIT (‘20 Netflix) and are loving it 4 episodes in.
Finally, just finished watching the first episode of YOUR HONOR with Bryan Cranston on Showtime. It just started tonight and had me on the edge of my seat. Can’t wait for next week !

We just started watching Reckoning on Netflix on Thursday and we’re on episode 6 already. It’s about a serial killer and is keeping us interested and guessing.

If anyone is a fan of Tim Minchin, or even if you're not, you should watch the Australian drama series ' Upright'. It was wonderful. It was on pay TV here late last year, and I just found out that it is now on Prime for US viewers. It's only 8 episodes.

Watched I’m Your Woman last night. Not really riveting but we thought it was good. It’s a mom on the run, married to the mob type of scenario. Dark.
Recommend.

Finished The Queens Gambit and loved it ! 5 Stars for us.
Also watched a few good movies between yesterday and today so far:
GREENLAND (‘20 Netflix/AmazP) Gerard Butler. 4 Stars.
HONEST THIEF (Oct ‘20 AmazonP) Liam Neeson. 4 Stars.
THE BOOK OF HENRY (‘17 Hulu/AmazP/HBO) Really sad part in the middle for about 15 minutes which made it 4 stars and not a 5 star for us.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Last night I watched the movie The Dressmaker, with Kate Winslet, on Netflix. Worse viewing of the year for me. Stay away. Thank me later. Not really a PSA...because I loved the book and the film. I would much rather have had an Aussie actress in the role though, but Kate still did OK. I'd definitely encourage others to try it. Every time I watch Nicole Kidman in a series or movie, I am reminded how stunningly beautiful she is. And that hair. I though she was starting to look really odd after all that botox and filler - most of the time her mouth was open which is usually due to botox. Plus that isn't her real hair and I found it very disturbing because in every other shot that part changed. She's blonde now, which I assume is to help cover the grey and when you see photos of her, her hair is a lot thinner than that. She used to have a mass of red curls when she was younger, but her hair hasn't looked like that for quite a few years now. When she isn't wearing a wig or has extensions, this is what her hair looks like
