I found a FUNNY show called " Rosehaven! " (Amazon Prime) It's about two adorable best friends---a single guy and a woman who was dumped by her brand new husband. Trailer:www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq6W3PJh8hY AussieMeg AllieC , (and any other Aussies who might be reading this)-- have you seen this show? I LOVE it !!! The guy lives in Melbourne, but he's temporarily moved back home to Tasmania to help his Mum with her real estate business. EVERY person he speaks to says: "oh, you couldn't hack it on the mainland, eh?" Obviously, I can sort of figure out why they say that to him, but I'm sure it has a deeper meaning to Australians.

Yes, it's bloody hilarious! I don't think there's necessarily any deeper meaning to the saying "oh, you couldn't hack it on the mainland, eh?" But there is quite a bit of friendly rivalry between us on the mainland and those in Tassie. I'll tag my mate scrapalotomous to see if she has any insight. I haven’t watched it yet but I love Luke McGregor so it’s on my list. Me too Allie! He is so funny. I was watching "Love on the Spectrum" the other night and one of the women on there was the female version of Luke. It was uncanny how similar she was to him! If you haven't seen it, check it out and see what you think.

I tried to watch Bosch tonight and couldn't get into it. Switched to Unorthodox and watched three episodes. I was disappointed to learn that there is only one more episode.

I just channeled my inner teenager and watched all of Mindy Kaling's new Netflix series "Never Have I Ever". It focuses on a first generation Indian-American teenager and it reminded me of some of my friends and their families from when I was that age.

Fouda season 3 dropped today. Can’t wait for my girls to go to bed. I started watching Fauda last year but stopped at S1E7. Life must have gotten in the way. I watch with subtitles so I can't do other things while watching. Now that we're all home I told my husband to watch it with me yesterday. He's enjoying it which makes me happy that we've found a new series to watch together. Right now the only thing we watch together are the Sunday news shows and FBI on Tuesday (and they are in reruns). We were both Arabic linguists, so we watch with an Arabic-English dictionary and lots of pausing.

I just finished watching Hi, Bye Mama on Netflix. K-drama that was funny and sad enough for tissues. Just started another one, The King which is another K-drama. In between I've been watching the Haunting on Hill House and waiting for Anne with an E.

I’m watching a British show called “Trying”, and “Defending Jacob” with Chris Evans and Michelle Dockery. Both are on Apple TV.
One of my daughters really liked “Never Have I Ever”, and my other daughter was obsessed with “Money Heist” on Netflix.

New episodes of Nailed It in Netflix.
Watched on Prime Acorn Penelope Keith's shoes on coastal villages and hidden villages in England. Very interesting. (Her village of the year show was not as good.) Also agatha raisin.

We finished season 6 of Bosch last night. From everything I've read, the 7th season will be the last. We love the characters on this show and will miss them when it's over. Now we've jumped back to Band of Brothers and have 5 more episodes.

I finished Normal People last night. I was impressed. Read the book and felt meh about the book. This is very artsy and slow and a LOT of nudity so if you are not comfortable with that you've been warned. But it really sucked me in. The way it is shot is absolutely beautiful. (It's on HULU)

scrappintoee, I love John Cleese. Monty Python was a great show. Have I mentioned Wentworth? Really good Australian show. After a couple cheesey episodes it gets quite compelling. We're almost done w/season 1 of Dead to Me. Love it, too.

I have one episode left which I'm saving for later as I don't want it to end. It is so well done - the angst and joy of growing up and relationships. As said above there is a lot of nudity and sex (it's gonna be awkward if you watch with your kids) but I thought it was very well done - romantic for the most part and DH has reaped the benefits

But I liked the characters in the book quite a lot. That's why I was so annoyed at how the author wrote about what they said and did. Not sure I could bring myself to watch the show but I know shows are very different than books. I am still mad at the movie they made of The Tale of Devereaux, which is one of my favorite books of all time. Haha

Haha I feel like it followed the book fairly well except a smidge different at the end which again, how could I like it significantly more than the book? But I think it really portrayed the situations and the characters response to them so much better. I think I was very frustrated in the book how poorly they communicated and there is one part in the show that definitely shows this. But for the most part I understood their thought process much better.

Watched Upload on Prime and really liked it. Told a friend about it snd she liked it even if it was “science fiction”. I guess I didn’t even think of it like that I just thought it was good. I just saw on FB that season 2 will be coming “soon” no idea what that means. My idea of soon means within a week or two but I’m hoping at least by the end of the year realistically.
Looking forward to watching season 2 of Dead to Me.
