We finished our Inspector Morse marathon and thought we were going to watch Inspector Lewis next but it's on a different streaming channel that we can't get here We flipped around Netflix and found Travels with my Father and watched the whole first season last night (the episodes are only 30 minutes). It was really good and we're looking forward to season two.

I was all by myself so I paid $6.99 to watch The Hating Game on Amazon Prime. I thought it was really cute, perfect my night on my own. I read the book and liked it as well.

Just finished the newest season of In the Dark. I really love that show! I love it too but need to rewatch from the beginning. I'll ask DH if he wants to join me this time. I am so glad there is a new season out!

We recently watched The Unforgivable on Netflix starring Sandra Bullock. It was excellent. Very gritty and tense. She deserves an academy award nomination.

I watched this last week and feel the same way. She was great in this movie. I also watched King Richard which was good as well. We finished Yellowstone last night and both really liked it. I tried watching One of Us is Lying but it didn’t grab me enough to finish the second episode.

Last night I watched Love Hard, a Christmas romance movie on Netflix. I love cheesy Hallmark movies and I thought I would love to hate this one too, but it was actually pretty good! It had some funny lines and although the storyline was a little trite, it actually made me smile.
Other than the ridiculous lines they gave to the grandma--she should have demanded a rewrite.
Also, the writers of this movie seem to probably be considerably older than the young people in the story, in the way they reference reading a newspaper, have ticket sales at the airport counter and she can't seem to conceptualize buying a ticket on her phone, her favorite song, the movies they like, etc.
It's about a girl who gets catfished and flies to surprise the hot guy she met online.
Owes a heavy debt to Stepbrothers, if you're a fan you'll know.

We just finished the first two of six episodes of Vigil on Peacock. It's a British thriller that takes place partly on a submarine starring one of our favorites, Suranne Jones, and Martin Compston from Line of Duty.
It is really good!

I watched the second season of Emily in Paris. It’s still a quick, cute show to watch.

We saw West Side Story at the theater on the 23rd. We all enjoyed it. I still have a place for the original in my heart as I saw it two nights in a row when it first came out when I was 15.
We also watched Being the Ricardos on Prime. It takes a week out of their lives while filming I Love Lucy with several complicated storylines. Nicole Kidman nailed it in the scenes when they were filming the sitcom.

So many people were griping about Nicole not looking like Lucille Ball but honestly, it didn't matter much. Really well done in my opinion, I'll probably watch it again I liked it that much.

Can’t recall who recommended “On Pointe” on Disney+, but I watched it before Christmas and it was soooo good. Follows a season with the School of American Ballet in NYC, focusing on the Nutcracker performance. The kids were amazing! Also some really good NY scenery…
I got Disney+ to watch “Get Back” which was hands down the best thing I’ve seen this year. But I’ve been a Beatlemaniac since the 60’s.

Don’t Look Up on Netflix is an over-the-top satire, but so good. The director was taking on climate change but it morphed into the pandemic. It really nails the lunacy of the Trump White House and the media’s disregard for what is/was really happening.

Some good series this week.
PANIC (‘21 AmazP) (S1E10; 45 Minutes each) 4 Stars
THE GIRL BEFORE (‘21 HBO MAX) (S1E4). Based on a JP Delaney book of the same name which I gave 4 stars. 3 Stars
GUILTY PARTY (‘21 Paramount) (S1E10; 30 Minutes each). 2 Stars. Could have been 3or4 Stars but no ending and Season 2 looks doubtful. If you don’t mind a cliffhanger ending, I did enjoy the story.

Yes only one season. Supposedly it was only meant as a limited series. Has an ending. Sounds good. I was confused when I saw this online: And here we get to the bad news for fans of the show. As was reported back in August by Deadline, "Panic" was canceled by Amazon after just one season. Per the report at the time, it is said that the show did not connect with fans on the level that other such YA shows like "The Wilds" did.

We just finished Loudermilk on Prime. Stars Ron Livingston who was in A Million Little Things. It's very irreverent (pun intended) and funny.

Just finished an awesome series for me.

This show comes from a series of books from Stephen King about a serial killer tormenting a retired cop.

I finished two series on Netflix, recently: You and Maid.
You was really good, had some twists and turns and I can't say much about it w/o spoiling it. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Maid, was interesting. I liked it and found myself getting emotional at times. Andi Macdowall's dd stars in the show and Andi plays her mother. Andi Macdowall is quite an actress. I never realized that.

I watched it for the 4th time last night. I finally convinced my husband to watch and I heard him sniffling at the end. I just love this movie.
