If you’re looking for a good jaws-type movie, just saw SHARK BAIT (‘22). 4 Stars. I love a good shark movie ! We love disaster type movies. Where did you find Shark Bait? Netflix?

Endeavor Season 8 was a HUGE disappointment! We loved seasons 1-7 but 8 was awful. Morse was drunk almost the entire time and the plots of the the 3 episodes were really confusing. Almost like they had a completely different sets of writers. Hopefully season 9 in 2023 will be better.

On a scale of 1 "all butterflies and honey" to a 10 "Game of Thrones torture interrogation where everyone ends up decapitated (or any other similar show)".
I've really enjoyed the Harlan Coben shows they put on Netflix (I remember you recommend them quite a while ago) and find them to have a tolerable amount of grit. Ever since my DH passed, it's been hard to watch programs that are too dark and violent. Thanks

They do deal with a lot of crimes, some violent. Why not watch the first few episodes and see how you do.

We just finished Barry and it is really entertaining. I love the characters and the twists. Henry Winkler was trained at Yale and he is so good in his role.
Now we're watching Hacks. It's so well done. Jean Smart is quite the actress.
Dh is watching Ted Lasso. I gave up after 4 episodes, but dh loves it.

Jean Smart has definitely been underutilized as a actress. She is awesome!

I just watched all episodes of the Bear. I enjoyed the chaos of it. Looking forward to another season being released.
Going to check out Endeavor and Shark Bait

teddyw, I only saw one episode of the Bear, but plan to watch the season. I really like Jeremy Allen White. He was so good in Shameless.

I just finished rewatching all eleven seasons of Shameless (THAT took awhile!). Jeremy Allen White is outstanding. Loved him in the Bear as well, although it did feel a bit like an parallel universe Lip. I'd like to see him in something as a totally different character.

Finally got to stream the new ELVIS movie. I’m not a big fan, but my DH and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, along with all the music. Long movie, over 2 1/2 hours, but never bored me; held my interest the entire time.

It's been a while since I've posted. In the last bit we've enjoyed: - The Offer
- Thirteen Lives
- 500 Days of Summer (2009 movie DS recommended)
- Blown Away (glass blowing competition Season 3 just dropped)
- Who is Harry Nilsson and Why is Everybody Talkin' About Him?
- Summer of Soul
- The Tender Bar

Saw the Gray Man on Netflix. Meh. It’s Ryan Gosling so I thought it might be better, but it’s incredibly violent and would have been better seeing it on a larger screen. The storyline is pretty flat.

What a waste. Why hire Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans when they could have just blown more $#*t up? So bad. They should have used some of the money they spent on explosives to hire a writer. I'm about done with Netflix and their dumbing down of everything.

Watched a great movie yesterday !
PARADISE HIGHWAY (‘22 AmazP/Apple) w/Morgan Freeman. Even though a human trafficking story, has a sentimental side. Also lots of action.
5 Star movie for me !

Just finally started watching the Good Fight, I love it so far, but why the hell is the intro so LOUD? It seriously scares the hell out of my cats when it starts and my husband who never thinks anything is loud commented on it.
In any event, I am really enjoying the show. The cast is great.

I have a Go Surf Streaming box so I never know where the movie is coming from.

I watched the movie "Thirteen Lives" which is being shown on Amazon Prime right now and is directed by Ron Howard last night. It was amazing! It's about the rescue of the 12 Thai boys from the cave and their coach and was so well done! I highly recommend it.

Any idea how long it takes to get to the English part? I started to watch but it was taking way too long to get to the English parts. We didn’t even have subtitles. I would probably give it another chance if I knew how much of the whole movie is in English.

I viewed it with closed captions because I prefer watching TV this way-I don't think I have problems with my hearing, but lots of times lately it seems some actors mumble their lines. Plus there was a lot of other noises going on with the water rushing etc. It's on Amazon Prime which has subtitles. Hope this helps. It's done so realistically and so well that you feel as if you are right there!

And with the background music on some shows SO loud, it makes it doubly hard! Everything we watch on Netflix, Prime, Paramount+ is with subtitles.

I enjoyed the first season of Uncoupled. Neil Patrick Harris plays a gay NYC real estate agent whose partner of 17 years suddenly dumps him. It was created by Darren Star, who produced Sex and the City. If you were a fan of the original SATC series, you may enjoy this series. The writing is sharp, the characters are interesting and the scenes of the city are a wonderful backdrop.
Netflix hasn't announced if there will be second season yet, so don't get too attached.
