Just finished Atypical. It's a drama with enough comedy to keep me entertained. Very, very sweet ending (I sniffled a little, it was that sweet).

While recovering from Covid in Italy, I discovered we have English speaking Netflix on the TV. I watched the old Michael Douglas psychological thriller, The Game, this morning. Saw it decades ago and loved it. It doesn't disappoint, you just have to suspend belief and go with it! I loved The Game. Well worth a fun watch.

If you enjoyed Into the Night you will probably like Yakamoz S 245. I enjoyed most of it there was one episode that got really dark but overall I really liked it. They link up at the end to. Really curious about the next seasons for these.

Ok. I just watched Weird. The Al Yankovic Story on the Roku channel. I'm debating about whether or not it was really weird and sorta' good or just bizarre. Daniel Radcliffe did a really good job and so did Rainn Wilson, but I will be scratching my head for a while. You can't unsee it. FYi, Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 89% on the tomato meter and an audience score of 88%. It is well acted, for sure.

I've been watching Extraordinary Attorney Woo. I am seriously embarrassed to tell you all this, but if I help one person... I watched the first two episodes in Korean. I really liked it, but it was a struggle and I wished to myself "if they only had dubbed this, it would be better." Sigh. I just had to go to the CC area and switch to the English speaking version. I have been struggling watching Die Kaiserin in German with English subtitles. My German is okay, but not great. I feel like a big dope. In any case Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a great show. Woo Young-Woo is a lawyer who has ASD and loves whales. It's her struggle and I think the show really works to show that ASD isn't just one brilliant person, rather a -ahem- spectrum of people. For people who liked Atypical or enjoyed reading The Rosie Project, I think you'd like this show. I also find Korean law fascinating.

My favorite is Stranger, about a prosecutor who lost his emotions as a child. Bae Doo Na plays the police officer he works with (I loved her in Sense8.) I'll have to take a look at Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

The Patient on Hulu with Steve Carell is very good! I highly recommend! (Not a comedy.) Thanks for the recommendation - I checked it out over the weekend - it was good.

Just watched most of People We Hate at the Wedding with people I love - Allison Janney, Kristen Bell, Ben Platt - and wow, was it bad. It was one of the worst movies I have seen and I had to stop watching, but I did get most of the way through, but by the time it was the wedding rehearsal, I just gave up. All three of those characters were completely unredeemable. I watched it almost to the end and there wasn't one good thing about any of them. They were just awful.
OTOH, I watched Spirited on Apple+ and it was perfect. I like all the actors (Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, Octavia Spencer) as well and it was joyous and fun to the very end. I highly recommend.

I finished the 3rd season of Trying on Apple+. I highly recommend this show. Especially think if you like Ted Lasso that Trying is something you may like. It is so heartwarming and with each season the secondary characters have become more developed and really add to the show.

I have been jumping around from genre to genre as I’m isolating with Covid. So today I finished Dead to Me (Netflix), Falling for Christmas (Netflix) and a documentary that was kind of a random find on Netflix. It’s called Found and came out in 2021.
“The story of three American teenage girls-each adopted from China-who discover they are blood-related cousins on 23andMe. Their online meeting inspires the young women to confront the burning questions they have about their lost history.”
I enjoyed this and would recommend.
Last night I watched Redeeming Love. (Amazon)
Not sure what to start next??? I have a few more days in bed😷🙄

Watched 2 more Netflix movies. First was The Noel Diaries. Really enjoyed this one. Definitely felt like a step up from a Hallmark one.
Then I watched The Swimmers. It was excellent. The beginning is subtitled, but as the story progresses it’s mostly English. Very worthwhile story.

In the past few weeks, I watched or started watching:
Falling in Love - Netflix. Typical holiday hallmark style movie with Lindsey Lohan - it was nice to see her again.
The People We Hate at the Wedding - Prime. I thought it was funny in a what on earth am I watching sort of way.
Tulsa King - Paramount +. Other than having to wait for episodes to drop each week, I really like this. It's by the same guy who created Yellowstone but it's not as serious. I'm a huge Sylvester Stallone fan so it's almost a given I would like the show.
Fleishman is in Trouble - Hulu. New episodes are released weekly here too. It's a little dark but I was pulled in pretty quickly.

I’m a little ashamed to admit it but I’ve been watching Love is Blind The MoleAnd From Scratch No I’m not in my twenties! I watched LIB and The Mole also. I'm not ashamed to admit I enjoyed them in my 50s. Love is Blind is a train wreck I just can't turn away from. Ha!! plus there's all the after the alter drama that has been crazy for the past couple of weeks. The Mole was ok - it felt like it went quickly but the guy who won annoyed me. I might go back and watch the original series.

Just watched Sprited on Apple and while not a fan of most of the music I enjoyed the movie and did enjoy one of the final song and dance numbers. I may even rewatch.

We are halfway through the 8 episodes of season 3 of Jack Ryan. We're enjoying it but sometimes get confused with all the Russian names of who is who.
