We also finished The Crown's latest season. I agree with everyone who thought it was distracting to cast a man who was too handsome to be (then) Prince Charles. I really liked the actor who played PM John Major.
If true, the manipulation of Princess Diane to grant the BBC interview was awful and, to me, bordered on criminal.

I just finished the second season of Acapulco on Appletv+. I loved it. I love Ted Lasso, but I’ve enjoyed Acapulco more. I think Wednesday is next up for my -35 degree viewing sessions.

We finished the 3rd and final season of Dead to Me. I think Christina Applegate did an incredible job. I'm sure it was very difficult for her to finish this.
If you haven't watched it, I think this would be a good one to binge. We had forgotten so many of the details from the earlier seasons that some things didn't make sense.
We are currently watching the 3rd and final season of Derry Girls.

We are halfway through the 8 episodes of season 3 of Jack Ryan. We're enjoying it but sometimes get confused with all the Russian names of who is who. I’m looking forward to this one. DH and I will probably start it in Monday.

I’m sad that she won’t be able to do more shows and has MS such a horrible disease.

We just finished Thirteen Lives, the movie by Ron Howard about the Thai soccer team and their coach who were stuck in the cave. Even though the three of us knew the end result, it was still harrowing to watch. Excellent!

I remembered when it happened but didn’t follow the details too closely so I was overwhelmed by how many came together to save them and the sacrifices so many made. I

A few I’ve recently watched: I Came By: very good. It’s a thriller and pretty creepy (by my standards…I don’t like horror or too much gore) but overall a good movie.
Emily the Criminal: meh. It was ok but I think lacked the character development needed to relate or sympathize with the main character.
Off-track: I enjoyed it but I’m not sure I would recommend it. It’s a quirky inspirational movie about not giving up, but there are better versions out there.
Inside Man: loved this series it’s only 4 episodes so not a huge commitment but I really enjoyed it and wish there were more episodes

This is probably old news but I have watched Season 1 of White Lotus (HBO) and am in the middle of season 2. There is only 6 episodes per season so not too bad. It is definitely compelling if you like watching rich people behaving mostly badly.

I I saw this a few weeks ago and also thought it was really good and I'd missed many of the details when it happened. I did have to shut my eyes for some of the scuba parts as I have terrible claustrophobia and I do dive and some of those scenes were harrowing and I worried I'd never want to dive again!

DH and I will probably start it in Monday. We are almost done. This season was excellent!! Haven’t read all replies yet but we finish The Recruit. The one about a rookie lawyer for the CIA and the crazy cases he ends up on. We really liked that one too. Season two of a suppose to drop early 2023 maybe even end of January I read somewhere.

The English on Netflix with Emily Blunt was great We are watching Wednesday on Netflix right now. Also good. We are LOVING Wednesday. Love her deadpan comments and asides, love the nods to the comics and 60’s tv show and the movies. We all LOVED Wednesday too. Can’t wait for the next season. My ds17 new favorite series.

I saw that a little while back, right after it came out, I think, I loved it!! I loved how they used their winnings for good and not greed.
I watched "The Santa Clauses" - it was just ok - really would have been better just to have made a movie instead of a series out of it - I thought all the elves were not the best actors. Also watched "A Christmas Story Christmas" and thought they did a pretty good job with it. I don't feel they needed to make a grown up sequel but it was kind of cute revisting the characters and seeing that Ralphie hasn't lost his imagination.

Anyone watching "Bad Sisters?" It's a lot of fun! Filmed in Dublin, with the most beauuuuutiful scenery. AussieMeg---it reminds me of "Offspring" with the similar humor (humo Ur) of this wacky family.

We LOVED "1883", and now we're enjoying "1923." I enjoy Helen Mirren with an Irish accent, too. I have to cover my eyes during the horrific scenes of the Native American girls being abused by the evil nuns. We've tried to like "Yellowstone", but we just don't. DH doesn't want to give it another chance, but I might. My friend told me "just wait---it gets soooo good." We *HATE* the fake accent of the narrator. I had hoped we wouldn't have to hear her voice again after "1883 ! " We just finished Thirteen Lives, the movie by Ron Howard about the Thai soccer team Yes, it was very good!

We liked the Santa Clauses for the story and nostalgia, but we were baffled at how bad the elf actors were, especially the one that was Santa's best friend. Tim Allen's real life daughter was good though, and the kid that played his son was charming and funny.

I've been watching Kindred on Hulu for the past several evenings. It's a time travel series of an African American woman in the present time who time travels back to 1815 in the south (Maryland). It's from the book of the same title by Octavia E. Butler that was published in 1979. I adore time travel books and movies so I thought I'd give it a chance. It has 8 episodes and ended on a cliffhanger-seems like a second season will be coming. I thought it was pretty good, but some of it was just okay. I decided to read the book after it ended to find out what happened.
The book was so much better! They changed so many things in the mini-series from the book. I know that often happens.

I'm not sure what happened, but while scrolling Netflix the other night, I discovered I didn't finish watching the final season of Wentworth!!! What the...
So, I binged the last five episodes and was super disappointed by the last one. I felt like it was a "the end" moment. I dunno...I just felt let down.
It is such a great series. I know I've said it before, but Wentworth makes Orange is the New Black look like a Girl Scout meeting and it did not disappoint...up until that weak ending.

We just finished the 5-episode mini-series Treason on Netflix. "An MI6 deputy's bright future takes a sharp turn after a reunion with a Russian spy forces him to question his entire life and which side he truly wants to side with in a looming conflict." Lots of action, twists and turns.

Read many reviews of White Lotus and all of them are different so decided to watch it. Just started It’s a bizarre show. It’s supposed to be a comedy but not your usual comedy. I watched the first season but haven’t watched the second yet. I’m not quite sure what I think about it.
