“Jury Duty”, on Prime….very funny show. Fake case, all are actors but one guy who thinks it’s all real. James Mardesen is in it and is hilarious. Easy watch, only 8 episodes, 25ish minutes per episode. Thanks for the recommendation! I watched the first two episodes yesterday and cracked up laughing! James Marsden is still such a cutie. I just finished this. It was really fun. It would not had worked had Ronald not been such an incredible nice man with such a good heart. I don't want to spoil anything. But he made me so happy. Whoever raised him should be proud.

So I watched what I thought was the first episode last weekend and come to find out it was like the sixth or seventh episode. No wonder I was so confused. I guess I better go back and watch it from the beginning

i hadn't heard about this! we enjoyed justified and wondered if they were ever going to do more. Good to know! Wow - I had not heard about this. Very exciting. DH and I actually started a re-watch of this show last month, and I wasn’t loving it nearly as much as the first go-round. I love all the characters though, I miss them - especially the Marshals. i liked Dewey. he was such a quirky character that added levity to the series. i saw him recently in a movie and said out loud (to an empty room) "it's Dewey! and he's really australian!"

We have one more episode of DCI Banks to watch and then it's season 9 of The Brokenwood Mysteries. I hadn't realized the season had been released so I am stupidly excited to tune in tomorrow night!!

We're watching Succession on HBO. I'm thoroughly intrigued by the awful people. I won't spoil it, but it gets into my head.
I finished The Watcher on Netflix a while back. It's creepy fun. Worth the watch for a short season.

Just finished Firefly Lane on Netflix. Still processing - best series I've seen in a long time. The books are so much better! "Firefly Lane" and "Fly Away" by Kristin Hannah. I read them years ago and loved them. The series was good, but the books were so much better.

I've been watching a wonderful series on Hulu (it was made by National Geographic) called "A Small Light" which is about Miep Gies who was Otto Frank's secretary, and the woman who risked her life to hide the Frank family and others from the Nazis during WWII. They are dropping 2 episodes per week (so far 4 have dropped I think) and it's been just incredible. I highly recommend it.

We're watching Succession on HBO. I'm thoroughly intrigued by the awful people. I agree with you about the awful people! I have only just started watching it, so I am waaaaay behind. I watched episode 6 from season 1 last night. I am trying my best to avoid any spoilers. I had to turn off two podcasts recently because they were talking about the latest episodes.

I have a recommendation. Apologies if it's already been mentioned here or on another thread. I did a search and nothing came up.....
I you loved Happy Valley, I highly recommend Blue Lights. It's a police drama set in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I've only watched two episodes so far, and I am loving it. I don't want to binge it, because it's the first season, and there are only six episodes..... I need to pace myself.

Just finished Firefly Lane on Netflix. Still processing - best series I've seen in a long time. My best friend since college was like Tully and I was a stay at home mom. The most recent season came out as just as I was getting treated for breast cancer so the whole thing hit very close to home. I almost couldn’t finish it.

My husband has been out of town a lot since his mother died and I've been trying not to watch shows that he would like to watch with me. That means I have been watching several reality type shows. The Jury one, The Mole, now Traitors. And about halfway through Traitors and I am embarrassed how much I'm enjoying it. He will be gone for at least another week and I'm wondering what I should watch next. Anyone have any suggestions for shows similar?

I finished up The Last Thing He Told Me on Apple. I read the book, but it’s been awhile so I really can’t compare, but I enjoyed it.
Every time I’ve turned on Apple, they seem to be promoting something new that catches my attention. I think it will be my channel of choice over the summer.

And just aside, I’m really missing the good old fashion days of streaming and being able to binge. I know I can wait, but there are so many streaming services I start a show or two and then forget about them because I don’t tune regularly to that streaming devise. I know first world problem 😉 Just drop the damn show.

Bumping this for a new show I found on netflix. The great BBQ competition. They just dropped season 2. I'm not a big reality fan but love a good cooking show. Super fun concept and what I really love is the joy between the competitors. When someone hits the wall and needs help the others stop what they're doing and help, even when it costs them time with their own cook.
No backstabbing, no yelling, lots of here's a challenge, how do we problem solve. Super fun show to listen to and my DS who loves to cook is watching it with me.

I just finished Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton series and loved it. The Queen was always my least favorite character but this series totally won me over. The young actors were so like the older ones it is amazing. Was there a thread for the series?

D IT!! Now the Queen is my favorite 😍 I ugly cried at the end of it, so good! She is absolutely my favorite! Also would recommend A Small Light. Very good! When they got under the bed, I had a lump in my throat. It also made me so sad when older Charlotte asked Brimsley if he had any family.

We've been watching The Capture on Peacock. We finished the first season the other night and have started the second. It is truly frightening what can happen to manipulate events.

Someone mentioned not being able to binge-watch and forgetting which shows to come back to each week. So how do you all keep track of the shows you watch and like? Especially when the next season doesn't come for months.
I tend to keep the full season shows to a minimum because if I watch too many, by the time the next season finally rolls around, I've already forgotten the name of some of them. I have not come across any weekly drops recently, so haven't dealt with that yet.

So how do you all keep track of the shows you watch and like? Especially when the next season doesn't come for months. I just add them to the My List feature that most streaming services offer. It's the simplest method I've found so far.

So how do you all keep track of the shows you watch and like? Especially when the next season doesn't come for months. I watch a lot of Britbox and Acorn and they have an option of adding shows to a watchlist. I also use the "continue watching" feed quite frequently.

It also made me so sad when older Charlotte asked Brimsley if he had any family. I rarely watch anything on Netflix, but this series (and all of Bridgerton) was just so good. I was thinking it was a good show until they hit the fourth show and then it was great. Took me a minute to figure out who George's mom was though. I kept trying to place her on Downton. Loved how they kept going back and forth in time to help explain so many things.

just finished FUBAR on netflix. it's arnold Schwarzenegger's new series. it's kind of like his movie True Lies. 8 episode of light fun, action, and comedy. we liked it.
new season of Joe Pickett has started on paramount+.
new season of Alone is starting up again on History channel. i don't normally like wilderness, survival, or competition reality shows but i like this one. season 10 starts tomorrow.
last season of Mayan on F/X is on. will be sad to see this show end.
last season of Fear the Walking Dead and it's a very tough slog. i'm only watching it for DH's sake. like i said, tough slog. time to close the book on this series.

I started FUBAR but couldn’t get past 2 episodes. I may go back and try again because I love Fortune Fiemster.
I just finished all of Firefly Lane. Wow, it was so good. It was strange how they made me like and not like both Kate and Tully throughout the series yet they just fit together.
