We finished "The Diplomat" on Netflix. Can't wait for the 2nd season! Great cast, perfect pace, a little humor, a nice twist. My only complaint is that I want to reach into the TV and comb Kerri Russell's hair.

We are into series 2 of Silent Witness on BritBox. There are 26 seasons so we are good to go for a while now. Wow, that will keep you busy and out of mischief for a while!! FTR, Season 20 was my favourite, especially the last two episodes. Hmmm, or maybe Season 16. Then again, Season 25 was also great, but there were only 6 episodes.... Anyway, enjoy! I am part way through Season 2 of Annika, another UK crime drama starring the magnificent Nicola Walker. I am trying not to binge it, because I want it to last.

We missed season one and I was lucky enough to find the DVDs at our library! We're next on the list. I'm recording season 2 so we'll have that to go to immediately. She is one of our favorite actors!

We finished Who is Erin Carter? last night. It's a *limited series* with 7 episodes so I doubt there will be a 2nd season. Although, they left a tad of a nugget at the very end so maybe there is a slight chance. Be forewarned that you have to roll your eyes throughout the show.

I just watched The Days about the Japan nuclear incident that is still ongoing. Amazing show, in many ways similar to the Chernobyl one

Last night on Netflix, we watched I See You which is a suspenseful thriller. Just when I thought I had the twist figured out... It also kept my DH glued to the screen, a rarity. We just finished watching this! Yikes! It kept us guessing.

I am currently watching season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount +. I am loving it, but ooooh boy, it's brutal! I can usually only watch one episode at a time, sometimes two, and then I have to watch something pleasant or funny after it. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, that's for sure.

I was so looking forward to Netflix's adaptation of All the Light We Cannot See but it has gotten horrible reviews. It’s only 4 episodes and started a little slow but I really liked it and watched it in one night.

We watched Pain Hustlers on Netflix last night. It's based on a true story but pretty much none of the stars in the show are based on real characters. Except maybe Andy Garcia is loosely based on the CEO of the drug company. With Emily Blunt and Chris Evans.

I saw it recently and thought it was well done, but I have minimal knowledge of the real players in the opiod travesty.

I'm late to this thread, and I've been taking notes as I've read the last 10 or so pages. LOL I binge watch/listen when I have a chance to be out in my she shed crafting.
I have one I didn't see mentioned (and if it was please forgive me and just take this as another recommendation). "Firefly Lane" was so good!!
I can't wait till the new season of "Sweet Magnolias" finally comes. Like others said, it's an easy watch (or listen lol) while I'm scrappin.
I like "Virgin River" but the newest season seems to be moving sooooo slowly (almost like Charmaine's pregnancy).
I am looking forward to the new season of "Call the Midwife" as well.
Paramount+ has a new version/season of "Criminal Minds". So far only one season but there will be another, it was just put on hold due to the strike this year.
I was happy to see that the family that "Taking Care of Maya" is about won their lawsuit. You would hope that it would spur some changes but I doubt it will, especially since it's Florida.
I binged "Ghosts" earlier in the summer. I see that the British version is coming to our TV soon (probably due to the strike putting everything on hold for US series). I'll have to remember to watch it.
There are a few shows that were on TV that I just never started so didn't start watching. The Good Doctor is one that comes to mind, that I might look for so I can just binge the whole thing or at least up to the latest season.
Of course, if I just can't find anything there's always the old faithful NCIS, L&O, L&O SVU, Criminal Minds, House, etc.

We just watched Leave the World Behind with Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Mahershala Ali and Kevin Bacon. It seems most people hated the ended. It was a very interesting movie. HUGE spoiler When Rose found the bunker, I turned to DH and said she's going to find a VCR and the final episode of Friends to watch. And damn if that isn't what happened.

I said the exact same thing. I loved the ending. I thought the acting in this movie was outstanding. We just watched Season 3 of Slow Horses on Apple TV. Gary Oldman was genius. Again. We’re currently watching Lidia Poet on Netflix. It’s in Italian, about a young woman lawyer in Turin in the late 1800s. She investigates crimes and deals with lots of sexism. The actress who played Lidia is mesmerizing. Also watching Fool Me Once, a Harlan Coben limited series. Love it, very twisty and suspenseful. About a woman who is a Captain in the British army whose husband is murdered. I love all his series, they’re really tightly written. ETA: I should have read the last 3 posts lol. Seems Fool Me Once has a bunch of us in suspense.

My dd and I watched Fool Me Once and My life with the Walter Boys while she was home from college, on winter break.
I can see more seasons to come for My life with the Walter Boys. Easy to watch but keeps you wanting more.

My life with the Walter Boys We watched about 30 minutes of it but DH and I agreed it wasn't for him. More for women or teens. I did love seeing Donna from Suits though!

I haven’t posted here in a while but I was a bit laid up for the past couple of months so watched a ton of shows and some movies:
The Diplomat - loved it! I don’t know why I waited so long to watch it but glad I did and I won’t have to wait as long for season 2.
The Last Thing He Told Me I know it’s based on a book but I haven’t read it. I thought Jennifer Garner was good. Overall I enjoyed it even though it was a little far fetched (imo).
The Bookie with Sebastian Maniscalco. I’m a huge fan of his comedy but not usually his acting but he was good in this. Great supporting cast. I admit it started out strong then kind of meandered a bit but still enjoyable and I’m glad it was renewed for a second season.
The Gilded Age - loved it even though I’m not usually too into period dramas. Superb acting, amazing costumes. Really well done.
Monarch, Legacy of Monsters - I love Godzilla disaster type movies and this show does not disappoint. The finale drops on Friday.
A Nearly Normal Family it’s a Swedish movie but I watched a dubbed version. A dark family drama with a twist at the end.
My Life with the Walter Boys - young adult teenage drama, another genre I tend to enjoy. This was sweeter than most and enjoyable for something easy to watch.
Squid Games: the Challenge I didn’t know what to expect since I didn’t watch the original Squid Games. It was fine and a bit crazy starting out with over 400 contestants. The challenges were based on kid games and it was kind of cool. It’s a good show to have on for background noise but don’t really need to,play close attention.
Safe another dark and twisty family drama. Everyone was good in it and i was drawn into the story quickly. It moved fast and had a crazy twist at the end.
Sly the Netflix documentary. I’m a fan so it was interesting and learned a few fun facts about him.
May December its considered a dark comedy which seems about right. It held my attention but also made me uncomfortable bc of the topic.
Pain Hustlers this is the third or maybe fourth big pharma movie/show I watched and and probably least interesting to me but worth the watch. Emily Blunt is always a pleasure to watch.

I want to watch the others on Netflix I have never read any if his books or seen any but after watching his latest one I am going to have to watch some more. I am very happy that Northern Exposure is now on Prime I have wanted to rewatch but it hasn’t been on streaming until now so I am watching these a few at a time. I love the quirky characters.

I watched Beef over the past few days. It was nominated (and won?) a few Golden Globes. The sex-related scenes were a bit unnecessary, but overall a good series.

I loved it when it was on, but life was way too crazy at the time to watch whole episodes, much less full seasons, so I’m super excited. I love the setting, the characters, the actors - everything about it. Looking forward to another season of The Diplomat also, like many of you. It feels like it’s been a long wait.
