I watched the original Shogun with Richard Chamberlain back in 1980. Between that and The Thorn Birds, he was amazingly swoon worthy. Also as Dr. Kildare. Those 2 miniseries were a MUST SEE TV situation at my house. My grandma, mom, aunt, and I all gathered in the living room to watch. I think I was only 11 or 12 at the time The Thornbirds aired. Very eye-opening LOL! I will second this and throw in "The Winds of War" book and mini-series. I have the DVD set to Thornbirds but it's probably been over 10 years since I've watched it. I cry at the same spots every time!!

I finished Apples Never Fall. I didn’t care for it. I thought the ending was predictable, and not in a good way.

We finished Karen Pirie on Prime/BritBox last night. It was one season of 3 episodes that were an hour and a half each. I've read that there will be a second season this year. We really enjoyed it.
After the promotion to Police Scotland's Historic Cases Unit, Karen Pirie reopens the cold case of a murdered barmaid. Her investigation unearths flaws in the original 1995 inquiry.

Apples Never Fall - on Peacock. 7 episodes. Has kind of a White Lotus vibe to it. In fact, one of the main characters from WL is on it, plus Annette Bening too. I really enjoyed it. I haven't yet decided whether to watch that one or not. I really didn't enjoy the book, I had to force myself to get through it. It was the same with Nine Perfect Strangers - I struggled to finish the book and decided against watching the TV series. I loved Big Little Lies though. I think the actors really made Nine Perfect Strangers come to life. I'm definitely going to watch Apples. I can't even remember exactly how it ended so it will be a fresh surprise, just like Nine Perfect Strangers was. Lol I can forget all kinds of details, probably because I'm typically reading in bed while falling asleep.

3 Body Problem is fantastic, if we don't get a season 2 I'll be very upset.

A 6 episode one season show that is awesome is The Night Manager.

Peace Sign - similar to BB, Better Call Saul. Spin off. Bloodline Business, lawyer theme - with sexy alpha males. Suits. Mad Men. Maybe I'll go back to watch Bloodline again. I LOVE Kyle Chandler. My nephew was cast as a birthday party kid on Bloodline, for one episode in Season 1 where the kids are running around with balloons. They filmed in Key West. Kyle Chandler was NOT there. I'm trying to get into Suits, but it's not holding my interest. Everyone tells me to keep going. I just binged ALL of the Resident and really liked it. Has anyone watched that?? I need something new to binge.

I just finished Ripley on Netflix and enjoyed it. If you've seen The Talented Mr. Ripley, you know the basic story but this goes much deeper as it's a limited series. The only thing I didn't like is that it is in black and white.

Oh - if you all want something fun and quirky to watch, try "I Love That for You". It's about the host of a home shopping network and her younger up and coming host. It's got a couple of Saturday Night Live women in it. Pretty funny.

I just binged ALL of the Resident and really liked it. Has anyone watched that?? Loved The Resident and was so sad that it ended. We were sad when Dr. Mina Ocafor left and were devastated when Nic was killed off. I've loved everything that Matt Czuchry (Conrad) has been in.

We're late to the game because we only just recently decided to get Netflix again, but DH and I are really enjoying Peaky Blinders.
We may rent The Sopranos from the library.
Not sure what we'll watch next. Maybe Ozark. We also want to watch All Quiet on the Western Front on Netflix.

Just started Baby Reindeer, which was recommended by a friend. I've only seen one episode so far. I don't know what to think!
I think there is only one episode of Shogun left (on FX), I really like this one.
I'm further behind on Griselda but still watching.

We're watching Spooks (MI-5) that started in 2002. It caught my eye since Nicola Walker joins the cast in the next season or 2. We watched the 4th episode last night and, all along, we've been saying that Zoe looks so familiar. It hit me last night that she's a much younger Keely Hawes who played the mother in the Durrells in Corfu. If y'all haven't watched that show, it is a must see to us.

I finished Apples Never Fall. I didn’t care for it. I thought the ending was predictable, and not in a good way. We didn't like it either. It seemed like it wanted to be all twisty and mysterious but it was all completely obvious. It was trying way too hard. And the ending was so flat.

Fallout on Prime is really good. I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it was an immediate love. My current Korean drama is Queen of Tears, highly recommend if you need a blub!

A coworker recommended Fallout and I started watching last night. At first, I thought there were too many separate stories (I usually hate that), but it came together pretty quickly. I had to force myself to stop after the third episode, because it was 2 am and I have to work today.

Looks like a good thread to watch! I just recently restarted my subscription to Netflix because my kids wanted to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've paused my Fubo account and will probably just cancel it. So will need lots of places to watch shows/movies.
