You've heard the message but let's spell it loud and clear: it's time for everyone to #STAYATHOME. Yay for crafters: we have a stash of products, a mountain of projects to get to, we shan't go hungry for creativity in these difficult times. Come join us as we spend four days together scrapbooking, chit-chatting, enjoying each other's work, encouraging one another! There are no requirements: you are welcome to join at any point during the crop and you can do any type of crafting (cardmaking, knitting, journaling, painting, crochet, etc.). This special Disney edition will get everyone inspired with a touch of Walt's magic! There is no need to do Disney-related crafting but of course, if this inspires you to work on your Disney vacation album, it's the added bonus of happy escapism! The Disney theme here is only meant as a jump-off point for the daily challenges and a great mood setter to get our happy feels going and combat the stress of these scary coronavirus times. What you can expect: a daily Disney movie theme with challenges, prompt questions to get you started and of course, some mighty fine tunes. You can follow as many or as little (as none) of the challenges. These are extra inspiration for those who feel a little stuck. Let's flatten the curve by staying in and being crafty! Creative expression is an excellent way of dealing with stress, anxiety and fear. Come find a sense of community and feel energised to make something by joining this new #STAYATHOME crop!

I still have pages to finish off in the 2008 Disney album I started last year.
I wonder if I can actually finish that thing in a weekend?

I’m in!
I haven’t worked on scrapping our 2017 Disney Christmas Family Reunion for months, possibly more than a year. This will give me a kick in the pants to get back to it.

I'm gonna try my hardest to follow along. Lord knows I have several unfinished Disneyland trips to work on and a recent one I haven't even started on! We will see what work permits as it has been a bit hectic! Glad I'm still working, but kinda wish I was at home scrapbooking😊

I remember buying for the album right before and after the trip and that my bestie (who came with us and was a much more avid shopper than I was) also bought me a bunch of supplies. Eventually they'll used right? Hopefully this weekend...I'm pretty sure the album is laid out and ready to be assembled

Hopefully I am in too! Looks like another dreary weekend on the US east coast. Some day I will get my plants in...but for now, more scrapbooking.
Love the Disney theme! So funny, I have Tangled and Aristocats on my "to watch" list on Disney+.

Love the Disney theme! So funny, I have Tangled and Aristocats on my "to watch" list on Disney+. Tangled may be coming up in here during the crop, jussayin'... Also, it's one of the best Disney princess movies: excellent writing, positive love connection with long relationship before marriage, one hell of a fierce girl standing up for herself rather than waiting to be saved. It's one of Disney's very best although often overlooked or overshadowed by Frozen.

Loving all the excitement on this thread! Looking forward to seeing and being inspired by your enthusiasm and your creations over the weekend. I don't have Disney photos to scrap. Well I do have some unscrapped random ones that did not "make the cut" when I completed my Disney albums, but not sure I want to peak into that pandora's box... But I have other adventures--big and small, papers and stickers and diecuts, oh MY, and hope to scrap along with you, using the daily themes, challenges, and prompts that sleepingbooty cooks up. If anyone would like to join us, there are a few Peas who plan to get together for a Google Hangout session on Friday morning--9:00AM to noon MDT, and you are VERY welcome to jump in and join us. Staying at Home is more fun if you can keep at least SOME of the IRL connections open!

Love your song sleepingbooty! I couldn’t wait until tomorrow so I dug out my old Sandylion Goofy stickers and got this page done. Not very exciting...my photos pre 1999 are all 8 1/2 by 11 so I didn’t have too much space to fill.

He motioned for her to stay and take pictures with people and he would leave. He showed her how to pose, too. So cute.

Sounds fun! I'll be crafting for sure and will pop in. I don't have anything Disney related to scrap... (haven't been to Disneyland since 2004 and still have yet to make it to Disney World...) but maybe I'll put on a movie on Disney+ while I scrapbook to keep with the theme

I’ve been feeling pretty down this week, so I decided some retail therapy was in order. I just picked this up at Frank Garcia’s Studio in Upland, CA. He’s open to pick up online orders, and it’s a beautiful little shop. This will be perfect for the pictures I want to scrap. Also appropriate for our political situation right now. So excited! Thanks for lifting our spirits sleepingbooty ! (Photos removed)

Good morning croppers! May sunshine fill your homes, may joy at the thought of getting creative fill your heart. 💖 How is your Thursday going so far? How's the weather? How is your mood? Let's all check in and make sure we're all doing fine. This is Day 1 of the #STAYATHOME Disney crop. I thought we'd all enjoy easing it into Walt's universe with a classic you very likely have seen (and probably quite a few times )... And don't forget there's a beautiful live action retelling to watch if you're in the mood for a modernised version! As a reminder, you're welcome to work on any project you feel like working on. The prompts are only here to guide and inspire those who might feel a little stuck or who like a bit of a challenge! ____________________
Today's inspiration comes from: THE JUNGLE BOOK
This 1967 classic has all the ingredients to make a dreamy movie of escapism: a luscious jungle setting, the tale of a boy raised by exotic animals, the exploration of the true meaning of family and coming of age. For today's crafting, be inspired by Mowgli's story! General themes: growing up, activities as a family, pets, the great outdoors, house plants + garden, being different = positive. Covid-19 documenting prompts: - How are you spending quality time as a family while confined? How are you including loved ones you can no longer see in your daily activities?
- Are you finding ways to keep connected to nature while confined? Are you gardening? Are you taking extra care of your indoor plants? Are you watching wildlife documentaries with the kids? Have you started a bucket list of things to do outside and nature-related places to see when this virus is under control?
- How are your pets enjoying having their humans at home 24/7? Have your daily habits with them changed? More walks, more snuggles? Maybe the little ones are taking on responsibilities in terms of feeding and play in their at-home schedule?
- Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities! What's making your confinement easier and bringing you comfort while you and your family #STAYATHOME? Food, streaming services, apps, board and video games, crafting, etc. This could be the perfect moment to snap a photo of Toilet Paper Mountain, by the way. 😉
Graphic design: focus on green and botanical elements today. Think a little outside the box like a green background with contrasting neutral leafy die-cuts for a subtle but oh so pretty twist! Or use different shades of green to create extra depth in your layering work. Inspiration board: Song of the day:

Thanks, sleepingbooty! March TEAM players, don't forget you can claim a point for every one of these prompts if you use them on a project this month. I am not sure if I have The Jungle Book on DVD. If I do, I think I will pull it out, dust it off and pop it in the player. I think my kids wore out the old video tape edition. The Jungle Book was one of my favourite books when I was a kid. Yes. As a kid, I read Kipling... Read it several times. I memorized the poems (many of which were adapted into songs for the movie). Might search for The Law of the Jungle on line and print it off and see if it hits home more or less than when I was growing up on a remote farm--practicing social distancing by the way at the time, though we didn't know that's what we were doing... I am scrapping today, putting together a sample for Sketchy Saturday this week. Will post it when I am done so everyone can have a bit of a head start on it. Have posted the invitation to a Friday morning Hangouts session HERE. Anyone who is free is welcome to jump in. Happy Stay at Home Disney weekend!

I will jump in while I have a moment! I am currently still working as I take care of an elderly women who went from only needing minimal care to all day care when this all started due to a series of falls and bad luck. So my hands have been very full trying to not only get her thru this but now keep her safe from what surely would be a death sentence if she where to catch the coronavirus. So I only go from home to her house and to the store for her only when absolutely necessary. My DH has been doing our shopping at home.
So anywho, I haven't been able to spend much time at home with my teenagers and when I do it's usually discussing the latest updates on what is going on and why they need to stay home. Took some pics the other day of them just laying around. Gotta get my DH to take pics of them today on their school laptops doing work as our schools have had them using laptops since 4th grade and where very well prepared for this. Already took pics of our pantry and TP stock as well! Also been tossing around the idea of doing a traveler's notebook of this time. Still percolating it.
I do get outside here at work to take short walks up and down her street cause I cant stand being cooped up for 15 hours a day, or I will sit on her porch and listen to the birds chirping. She tends to watch allot of news so I have to get outside to get away from the information overload!!
I call my mom and my sisters every day, my 2 brothers, niece's, MIL and SIL's every other day, other assorted family members throughout the week, and text all of the above and several other family members on a daily basis. We also do snapchats version of facetime as well. This is very tough for us as we are a very close knit family and usually see each other every day or every other day. But, we are doing it to keep everyone safe!
Now for the fun stuff! I had already been tossing around the idea of packing a scrappy bag to bring since I'm here such long hours and your post gave me the kick in the butt I needed!! So I threw together some premade page kits I've had for ages and a snap album of a Sedona trip we took a few years back with all of my brothers and sisters and extended family in honor of what would have been my Dads birthday that year. That's green and has leaves and has family in it so I think I will work on that today! And I will put jungle book on my phone and watch that while I scrap away and let my head and my heart try and take a rest from all the worry it's been thru the past few weeks!!
Let's see how this goes!!
