I bought pancake mix and syrup, just have something different.
How do you like your pancakes or waffles? What flavor syrup? butter? fruit? whipped cream? chocolate chips? One big pancake? A few little pancakes? For breakfast only? For dinner? Make them yourself? Premade(frozen)?
I like maple syrup only. Two or three smaller pancakes. To be eaten any time of the day.

I don’t like waffles but love pancakes. I like them with a little butter and a lot of maple syrup. And I like them just when they pass from being raw to being done. I can’t stand really brown pancakes.

We put cinnamon in the batter. I like a medium size pancake, about the size of a teacup plate. My son is going to turn into a pancake. He is eating them everyday. I also bought a waffle iron and they are super easy and yummy too.

Fluffy pancakes, real butter, real maple syrup.
(If waffles, they have to be crispy. Same toppings.)

Melted butter only. No syrup.
Occasionally, for pancakes only- not waffles - boysenberry syrup - but that is rare. Syrup is too sugary for me.

I prefer freshly made pancakes and they really are super easy to make. A side of bacon goes really well with them!

Waffles-- meh. I don't mind a good Belgian waffle, or even one of those you make yourself at a hotel that has waffle irons. But I'd rather have pancakes. I like my medium sized pancakes with lots of butter and syrup. I do occasionally enjoy a chocolate chip pancake, but usually plain is just fine. Fun fact: when we go out to Perkins or Denny's or something like that, and SO orders pancakes, he gives me the bite from the center of the stack where all the butter and syrup have been melting into the pancakes. It's my FAVORITE PART. That's true love right there. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Ivm7lm0DayrhoRpwvCeH.jpg)

I love pancakes with bananas and pecans. Waffles with strawberries and syrup. Plain with syrup is just fine too, though.

I do not like pancakes, they are too filling for me. If they are really, really thin ; almost like a crepe I can do it. I really like pecan waffles though. Lots of butter and buttery syrup.

Pancakes, plain. If there is syrup, I don't need butter.

I like raspberry or blueberry syrup on pancakes and maple syrup on waffles. My husband makes pancakes often and truth be told I don’t care for how he makes them, he doesn’t let them get brown enough. They end up just cooked through which is fine, but I like a little bit of a crisp to the outside of my pancake.

I like both pancakes and waffles, with real maple syrup and butter. I don't put the syrup on the pancake/waffle - I'm a dipper. I like pecans in the batter sometimes. My grandkids like a little pancake with their whipped cream.

Love waffles, like pancakes. Fruit topping and whipped cream if I am being really fancy, otherwise butter and cinnamon sugar, or peanut butter sometimes. I am not a fan of maple syrup on pancakes or waffles, they get too soggy. I hardly ever make them for breakfast, but we have breakfast for dinner a lot.

DH makes Alton Brown’s Buttermilk Waffles and they are so good! I often have just one with only butter. I like real butter, syrup or agave and sliced strawberries usually. But a pea recently posted a family chocolate sauce that was so, so good. So I had the waffles with butter, strawberries, a drizzle of sauce and sprinkle of powdered sugar and they were so dang good! I also tried syrup with that combo but it was too sweet. I’m the same with my pancakes, but am more likely to try different flavors or toppings with them. Here is zookeeper’s recipe. LisaDV Here you go! This is a southern recipe that came about from the time of the depression when families were using the staples in their pantry. This is special treat that we enjoy every once in a while and it comes at the end of the breakfast meal. The sweetness of the chocolate gravy with the saltiness of the biscuit makes a great combo! Chocolate Gravy 1 cup sugar 1 slightly heaping tbsp Hershey’s Cocoa 1 heaping tbsp flour 1 cup whole milk dash salt 1 tsp vanilla Mix sugar, cocoa and flour together well in a non-stick pot. Stir in milk and salt. Cook on medium to high heat until thick while stirring…be patient! Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Serve over open-face hot buttered biscuits…guaranteed to make your family beg for more! This recipe has been passed down with love through 4 generations...may it bless your kitchen and the hearts of your loved ones! We only had Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate mix and it worked well. She suggested cutting the sugar in the recipe next time since the mix already has so much.

I make my pancakes from scratch. It’s slightly sweet. I like it with butter, Whip cream, and bananas. A bit rich so I don’t eat it often.
waffles I like crispy and light. Just butter and syrup.

I definitely like waffles over pancakes. DH likes to experiment with both and some work better than others (not of fan of the gingerbread waffles he made--too sweet for even my sweet tooth!) I never use butter on either, but I do like any combination of maple syrup, Nutella, fruit and whipped cream.

Waffles over pancakes every day & twice on Sunday, as the saying goes. I agree with quinlove - pancakes are too heavy. Give me the two sections of my 4 section waffle from my waffle iron, with bacon, a poached egg, and a bit of syrup.

Like both. No butter on either. Syrup--maple on both.
I like pancakes for dinner, but DH does not, so we never have them except at breakfast.
I am not a fan of making a pancake into a dessert with chocolate chips etc.
I do like a Belgium waffle with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Dh makes either waffles or pancakes on Sundays. Both from scratch. I like them equally. But, my pancakes can’t be too thick or fluffy. Served with real maple syrup and butter.

I make pancakes from scratch.. recipe from Fisher Flour cook book.. circa 1950's.. they need to be thin, light, small and golden brown. real butter, and real syrup. like many kids in the pacific northwest, I grew up with "homemade syrup"--water, box of brown sugar, and mapline flavoring. I only use real syrup now. or grandma's homemade blackberry syrup--right out of her garden.
waffles are ok.. fruit is ok or syrup. and then there are dutch baby pancakes.. one takes up a whole frypan. like a crepe.. eat with powdered sugar and lemon juice.

I use the Birch Benders Paleo pancake mix and sometimes add vanilla and cinnamon, but always mix it with almond milk instead of water. DH gets blueberries in his. Usually we butter them, but mostly just put peanut butter on them.

Butter, mini chocolate chips and coconut. I prefer them for dinner and I like both waffles and pancakes equally. Homemade, especially since my husband likes to cook breakfast so I don’t have to do anything but eat.

Home made from scratch crispy waffles with berries and whip cream, please. Butter and Aunt Jemima syrup is good too. lately my gall bladder has decreed that I must leave off the cream and butter, but a girl can dream...

Medium sized and fluffy. Just real butter and maple syrup — real syrup. And not very much.
I do like bananas. And a few mini chocolate chips inside the pancakes, if I’m feeling like chocolate.

Blueberry pancakes are my favorite. Just butter, no syrup.
When I was a kid my aunt used to make pancakes with cottage cheese. She would mix it in the blender and they always came out perfectly round and golden. I never knew there was cottage cheese in her pancakes until I was an adult. I wish I had her recipe.

I like 2-3 medium pancakes with lots of butter between each and on top. Warm real maple syrup. I need a sausage patty or some bacon to counteract the sweet!!
