A friend is having an online Pampered Chef party. I have a lot of their old products but haven't seen a catalog or heard much about them in recent years. I don't feel obligated to buy, but was curious if there are any current favorite products that are must-haves?

By far my all time favorites are both sizes of the batter bowl. I use them so often.

I use my measure all cup every day and they have different sizes. The mini spatula is another favorite. Not sure of the name but the long thin spatula for spreading icing is great. I have it the long and little size.

I haven't bought anything in more than 15 years. The best most unique thing is the measuring cup for liquids and solids. You can put butter, peanut butter etc in the solid side and push it out clean. I use the teaspoon and tablespoon that click to various sizes. I have a ceramic cookie sheet and 9x13ish sized pan.

I often use the microwave pots. The small to reheat stuff and for canned veggies, the larger I make my rice in all the time.
Of course I bought mine (new) at thrift stores for a buck or two so I'm not aware of their price directly from PC.
I think they must be one of the lower cost items as I seem to see them and the shaped bread tubes most often. My thought is that people use those as their obligatory (cheapest) purchase and then ditch them.

I bought one of the microwave pots 20 years ago for exactly that reason - my supervisor was having a "catalog party", and I felt obligated... Wel,, that darn thing is still one of the most-used things in my cabinet. That little square plastic dish scraper thingy is another shockingly useful item. I'd easily pay $20 to replace it now, though it can't be worth more than a buck or two. It is the greatest thing EVER!

The microwave grippers. They are great for grabbing lid handles as well as pots with 2 handles. Another use is picking up hot hard boiled eggs from the steamer.
Those scrapers are great too.

SockMonkey mentioned a gizmo for chopping up ground meat as you are cooking it. That thing rocks.

I have a lot of PC. Actually I’m looking for the hand can opener that pops the seal rather than cuts the can. I had one and it broke after a number of years. I tried a different brand but hate it. Could you pm me her info? If they still have that one and the shipping isn’t crazy I’d love to get it.
I adore the curved spatula. It is both a spatula and works like a spoon. I also use the small glass “measuring” bowls a lot. They come in 2cup, 1c and smaller. They have lids so are really useful. I use them for measuring and storage.

I bought that damn ground-beef-breaking-up thing because everyone else raves about it, but I used it once and thought, why?! Anyway, I just finally gave it away. PolarGreen12I loved the one piece of Rock Crock (high-fired pottery that goes everywhere, even on the stove top and under the broiler) I had, but eventually I broke it and it’s too expensive to replace. I got the original piece at half-price. Besides that (and less expensive) my most used PC items are a couple of the mini muffin pans. It holds 24 apiece, and I’ve used them a gazillion times over the years. oh, and the batter bowl ... I use that a lot, too. And a small plastic cutting board, like bar-sized, I think. Use that daily. I just ordered from an online party and I’m getting one of those microwave cooking pieces (you’re right, PLurker, it wasn’t very expensive) to see how I like it. I’m also getting one of those brownie pans with the little square cups ... I’ve been craving one of those. Now let’s see if I actually use it.

I’m picky about ground beef in tacos. It’s gotta be really small crumbles and that thingy gets it done.

SockMonkey mentioned a gizmo for chopping up ground meat as you are cooking it. That thing rocks. Agreed I use mine every time I cook ground beef or turkey. The mini spatulas are great to. I have metal and plastic versions. They are perfect for brownies and such when a large spatula is just too big. I still use my bread knife to since the one in my knife block fell apart lol. The little paring knives are good to and cheap but very sharp.

With kids at home and no doubt countless pans of various bars and Rice Krispy treats, etc. just do yourself a favor and buy about 3-4 of those little mini metal (or nylon, if you have some Teflon coated pans) spatulas. I use those things all.the.time.
The meat thing is awesome for tacos, spaghetti meat sauce or anything where you want more finely crumbled cooked ground meat.
I love, love, LOVE the little one cup glass prep bowls with the lids and wish I had the two cup ones too.
The little hand chopper is nice for chopping up small quantities of things. It is a bit of a PITA to clean because you have to take it all apart, but it does come all apart quite easily to do so.
Get a few of those little plastic scraper widgets, they come in handy to scrape globs of congealed grease or gunk out of a pan.
I also like the small metal strainer with a handle, I use that fairly often too.
Those are probably the things I use the most. One thing I don’t like is the silicone whisk. The stupid handle on that thing is so heavy it won’t stay in the bowl of stuff you’re whisking and it always falls out and makes such a mess.

PolarGreen12 That must mean you are successful browning ground beef with a spatula. I never was, so the mix n chop changed my life. I also like the one cup prep bowls like crazy4scraps . The offset spatula (I think that's the for frosting thing) is nice, too-- in addition to using it to frost cakes, I like to use it to smooth out layers when I make baked ziti or a lasagna. It's a little silly, but I'm really happy with the bamboo toast tongs. (They're like three bucks or something.) Every time I toast a bagel, I burn my fingers and then remember I bought a tool for this! Yay!I like the sheet pans I have from them-- I have the "regular" sized one (10x13?) and a little quarter sheet one. The quarter sheet works well if you're heating something for one or two, so I don't know if you'll have a lot of use for it in a family of six, although I think it will fit a toaster oven if you've got one of those. And I like the little bar cutting board from them. I have two and I use them for prep all the time. Oh, also-- their microplane zester. It's fabulous for freshly grated parmesan on foods (and it's a great zester).

Oh I forgot about that. I love it. I haven’t been using it lately as I’m using jarred garlic just easier at the moment to get. I think they have a cool nylon whisk that is weird circular kind of curly thing. It’s used for sauces and I love it better than a big one that is mostly out of the liquid this is good as it’s all in the liquid in a frying pan kind of situation and doesn’t mess up non stick pans but obviously works in regular ones to. Great for making boxed Mac and cheese to. Since not making a lot of sauce. I haven’t been to a party in years so most of my items are 20 years old except the ground beef thing which I heard about here and then ordered online.

I haven’t ordered anything PC in ages. My favorite thing is probably the micro cookers. They last forever and are one of their less expensive items.

I have the metal ice cream scoop. Love it!
I had a couple of the baking pieces but never used them, and gave them away many years ago.
I want a mini spatula (or two). My sister has one, and I really like it.

You guys are reminding me of my favorites and giving great ideas for new things to try! I have several of the stoneware pieces and use them often (muffin and loaf pan and a few of the flat stones). I have a different brand of the chop/stir thing and use it all the time but will check theirs out. I also have the garlic press but don't use it much now because I buy it in the jar. I love the brown scrapers. I had some but they were lost so I bought a different one from TJMaxx but it just isn't the same. I'm interested in the microcooker.

Consultant here...back in the dark ages. I only did it just to get the stuff!!!! Loved their cookbooks and the stones especially. My stones are easy 20-25 years old now and they are dark brown almost black. They made it all the way to Morocco and two have since gotten broken. LOVE the stones. The big bowl one cookes great stews and roasted chicken.
I am on my second hand chopper. I also still use the ice cream scoop ALOT. I have to say that I am impressed that their items have held up for over 20 years.
If the shipping to here wasn't outrageous...I might have to order something myself!

I actually just found a stone loaf pan that I have never used! I had to have bought it at least 12 years ago! I wasnʻt sure if it would still be good. I guess Iʻm just paranoid because I never used stoneware like that. Do I need to "treat" it any way before I use it? It wasnʻt in the box and I actually contemplated just throwing it out since all the donation stores here are closed.

I just looked at the website and have a long list. Now I am wondering if I should have a party, too!
Has anyone used the citrus press? I have a two piece citrus juicer thing that I got at TJMaxx and use it all the time. It works ok but squeezing seems much easier than twisting and turning. But, I am wondering if it is that much better?
Also, if you use the microcookers, which size do you use the most? I would use it primarily to steam veggies but maybe to make rice?
I also don't see any red spatulas.
Other things that I am interested in are the ceramic egg cooker or breakfast sandwich maker, measuring spoon set, mini measure all and the mini nylon spatula. Maybe the chop stir thing if it is significantly better than what I have.
