A layout from today. I deviated some from my kit for this one. The title is “Love her but leave her wild” . It’s about the relationship my husband has with our wild little girl cat. cat.

Linda , I am enjoying your Disney pages too. I love all the great shots of It's a Small World. Such wonderful memories for your children. Your pages are always so well organized. Beautiful pages. I love the dimension of your Peace on Earth card. Very pretty paper. KikiPea , your Besties page is beautiful. It has your trademark lovely clusters. It looks like you have done a lot of fussy cutting. How lucky you are to have a Bestie who is a scrapper. I hope you can get together after this quarantine is over. I think I caught justjac , grammadee and msliz in the gallery. I'll check later to see if I missed any. cannmom, I must have been posting as you posted your cat layout. I love the colors you have used. Your cute little sayings seem to fit her well. She is beautiful. Great page.

trying again for the card challenge - PL card (which looking more closely maybe should have been vertical but we're going roll with it, ok?) and die cut alphas layered 5 times and enamal dots

Whew! I"m back! I was able to do a bit this morning, but, despite my best efforts telling my family that this was something I wanted to do today, apparently, they can't do without me. I'm not upset - I'm glad they think things are just plain more fun when I'm around (especially with two teens). I've shooed them all down to the basement to watch a movie so I can have a bit of time tonight, though. LOL

Based on today's Sketchy Saturday bu AussieMeg... thank you, Meg! Great sketch! This took me hours because I'm learning GIMP as I go. I have an ancient version of Photoshop, but haven't used it for years. I remember the concepts, but translating them to GIMP and remembering/finding details took forever. My next layout shouldn't take so long. I hope. Some photos of my daughter and her beloved Merlin - taken about a year ago. I'll print as two 8x8 sheets and put in an 8x8 album. I'm going to watch Frankenstein (Cumberbatch as the monster) on Youtube with my sister, we watched Miller as the monster last night. I hope to scrap a bit during and after. Attachments:

I got a couple pages done today, but I’m really struggling to use a kit that I don’t really like. It’s a Travel Notebook kit and I’m past the halfway point, but the colors in the kit are SO not my style and usual pallet. It’s my March kit, so I started it as a March journey from normal to stay at home due to Covid-19. I only have a few more pages in the TN to do, then I’ll move on to something else. I’m not sure what to do with the rest of the kit when I’m finished though. I’m thinking about tossing it (gasp!) but I’ll have to reassess when I finish it. I hope to make more progress tomorrow.
I also still need to finish my December Daily. Plus, I am on a purging and organizing kick, so lots going on in my office/craft room these days.
What do you all do with monthly kits that you usually love, but then a month comes along that you don’t like or isn’t your style?

I did the Friday 2 photo sketch but have no idea how to post anymore. We can help with that! There is a thread - I think it’s stickied above the main list of scrapbook threads with some discussion on how to post photos, but the main question we need to know to help is whether you can post photos to somewhere online first (Instagram, Flickr (public or private), Facebook, a blog) or whether you want to add the photos as an attachment directly on the board through your computer or through Tapatalk? Each one has slightly different instructions and advantages.

not sure if I'll get another layout in tonight or not...I did get my exercise in - yay me! DD13 invited me to do a 1-mile walk away the pounds dvd and then we walked up and down the (long) driveway for about 30 minutes.
next up for me is Saturday's challenge #3 (the recipe challenge) - I find those difficult but I think I can make it work for another pandemic layout.

What do you all do with monthly kits that you usually love, but then a month comes along that you don’t like or isn’t your style? I know some folks sell the kits they don't care for on the buy/sell board here. I think it's okay to toss the leftovers for the kit that you didn't use and don't like. I'm not much of a kit person myself but I'm looking at the Disney papers and stickers and such I bought years ago for my 2009 Disney trip and they aren't all working well for my current style as I finally get around to scrapping it. I'll probably toss or donate what's left - some of it is really cute but I know if we ever go back to Disney (and yes, I only live 3 hrs away and haven't been since 2009) I'll want to buy new supplies.

I tend to find someone who might want my leftovers and send it to them as a RAK but sometimes tossing is the right option.

I finished some pages! I might go back later and add some extra embellishment once I figure out my style for this book is, but for now I’m pretty happy with them. The notebook is a Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters scrapbooker edition, which is basically a big TN. I’m trying to mix personal and big picture stuff and relate stuff as it was happening, but with 3 months of hindsight that’s an interesting challenge. Opening page with an email screenshot and !stamping! Free printables from IACB, Persnickety prints, map and email from Partners in Health. iNSD2020 virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr More screenshots... personal and political... more stamping! A 2Ps cameo appearance, and that “breaking news” is not neon yellow IRL. iNSD2020 virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr I’ve been looking forward to making this page ever since I knew that Ingunn’s family didn’t get sick. Shared with her permission. I want to include the things that make me laugh and the stories I’ve been following from my “friends in my phone” iNSD2020 virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr Working on panic shopping pages next. I have little post it notes to keep track of what I want to include but also a very detailed summary from my journal printed out to refer to as I go. I did these pages while watching Layle By Mail on YT and her -ooh, squirrel!- listing TN project (boy, she’s all over the place in her live classes!), but it was perfect because she was doing the same kind of perfectly imperfect, slightly messy, real life project that I’m aiming for here. OK, dinner time. Might be back to chat before bed...

Just navigate to your page in your computer browser, click on the photo you want to share, copy the web address from the URL bar (or I think there might be a ... button with a copy URL option) and then when you post here all you need to do is paste the web address right in here. As long as you’re not set to private it should insert a preview and link here Hope that helps!!

Thanks, kitbop for all the work of collecting and posting the challenges for this weekend. Just checked Sunday's list and it is another "gooder". Sorry I didn't make it in to chat this evening, but we had a contractor drop by to look at widening our driveway approach to accommodate farm machinery better. I have a two pager laid out on my scrap counter, but will need to glue stuff down in the morning when I can see straight. I used the #3 sketch from Friday and justjac's card challenge on the first page, but not sure if the second one will meet ANY challenge. Maybe I will check them again before I finalize it. Hope you can share your work, amblet. Thanks, joblackford for helping out with that. Love your kitty page, @canmom. Great title, pretty colours, and I love that everything is clustered around the photo. Your Covid LO is wonderful, Linda. Love the graphic and the great photo of you with your mask. Your card is great, too. I love your Clean & Simple style. Awesome take on the sketch, *Shannon! Love the colours and that starburst pp, and the photos are delightful! Your book is amazing, joblackford! Love all the different ways you portray the way our lives have changed. This will be a keepsake, for sure!

Oh my gosh, I am amazed at the creativity flowing this weekend! When I go to the Google hangout I get so far behind on the thread. But I love that when I'm in the Google hangout I keep my focus better! I got 2 pages done today which is on fire for me! On this page alone: cannmom - great cat layout, great story there and how you supported it with the phrases through the layout is awesome! I love stacked backgrounds like you created. linda - love the texture in that hexagon! I think it could go landscape or portrait and looks good this way. Your shopping layout is bang-on. I have several masked photos to scrap in the future, but I'm so far behind in printing photos that might happen during the next pandemic I did NOT get my exercise in today! kellyr21 - I'm loving that I'm getting to know who people are by other than their 2peas name now! I will see you tomorrow then *Shannon - I LOVE your layout! The colours, the rays, the combination of pps, the distressed title, {the adorable dog}... so good. joblackford - *thank you* for that laugh! OMG, to have those photos to share with her when she is grown up - absolutely priceless. Your journal is amazing. I love the boxes and use of typography, it's graphically so appealing and I wish I had started a project like this!

Saturday Challenge #5 C = cardstock, coronavirus, circles and 19 = 2019 in journalling and a February page as well I think I've figured out how to do my pandemic layouts - I'll put a monthly timeline (like these) at the end of each month - March will probably be a 2-page layout. And then I'll just scrap the photos I've been taking during SAH/SIP and make sure to journal about the specific things I want to focus on (shopping, masks, toilet paper, distance learning, cancellations etc...) along the way. I don't really want a separate Pandemic album - I want it to be part of our family album during this time.

dasmith2 Your back yard looks beautiful. Where in the world are you? It reminds me of our honeymoon last year where we spent the night in a cabin in the woods in California and had dinner out on the terrace. I'm working on my second spread of the day - my project life spreads are only 6x8 but to have got this far at 11:30am makes me feel like I'll make great progress today.

I'm caught up to page 3 on this thread. Sooooo many beautiful pages! So much fun chatter, I love pea crops! I've scrapped, but need to add journaling, plan to scrap again all day today. All the pizza mentioned makes me think that's what I need to order for dinner lol. I'll be opening a hangout in about 45 minutes for any early morning scrappers!

I didn’t plan I’m getting anything done since it was a beautiful, warm sunny day here. But I had watched the Heidi Swapp mini album class on scrapbook.com and was inspired to try it.
I ended up with a little vaca mini album. I’m not usually one to make minis and do all that but it was surprisingly easy and I killed a large paper pad I’ve had around forever (& was kind of sick of). I still am finishing up embellishing this morning but will post photos when I get a chance.
Happy iNSD weekend!

I wish I was a night person. I would get way more done! I'm doing cards this weekend due to many interruptions. It is less frustrating on a card. LOL. Plus I am sending a ton out right now. The top 2 cards are from the sketch challenges. The bottom ones are just random cards I needed to finish up anyway. Attachments:

Checking in here this morning before getting started scrapping. Reading about all the places you all are watching things makes me wish each place had a different NSD so I could watch it all. I am definitely going to check out Heidi Swapp's album that she did that you mentioned scrapcat. I have not always been a HS fan, but man, she is doing some inspiring work lately! And joblackford, I am not sure I have ever watch a video from Layle. I read her blog but now I will look for her YT. As far as work shared here, wow! everyone is busy! nylene - I love that Priceless Treasure layout and I can just see the little ones waiting for their turns to get a pen! I have a wooden pen that has a golf club as the clip and I just love it! cannmom - The strips backing the phot on your Love Her layout make such a great canvas for the photo and embellishments! Linda - Great start on your Covid album! I like how you incorporated the Persnickity downloads. And your shopping layout is great! I like how you added your personal note of what you are seeing when you shop. @bdhardy - Aw, you can't complain when your family thinks you have to be a part of everything. Like you said, especially when there are teens involved! I love the cards you are making! I too have been sending out a lot and keep having to make more. You have a great style on your cards! *Shannon - Your Jane and Merlin layout is so sweet. You can see that those two really love each other! I see you are in Colorado. I am too! I am in the Springs. joblackford - Boy, oh boy! You started with a bang!! I have been thinking that I need to buy a ew of those Heidid Swapp Storybooks! I think part of my issue with TN is they aren't quite bog enough, so this would fix that. I like you mix of sources for your pictures and the licking the basket page, too funny!! Well, now that we know they didn't get sick! dasmith2 - What a beautiful place to scrap. Your backyard is lovely!
