Used a stencil and brusho to create this background. This one will go to my niece, she is starting middle school in August. I just wanted to create a fun card for my bestie. She is a fellow card maker and her birthday is coming up soon. The water color teamed dies were a freebie from scrapbook.com. Used my alcohol markers to color the 'paint'.

I pushed through this week to finish off the Simple Life paper pad I’ve been trying to use up for months. I spent 4 afternoons working on cards and finished up with 55 more cards to add to my donation box, which I’ve been trying to fill so I can mail it off. I think I finished 82 cards this week! Here are the cards. I’m sure you’re all sick of seeing the seed packet cut-aparts by now so I didn’t spread them all out. May donation cards -Simple Life by jo.blackford, on Flickr May donation cards -Simple Life by jo.blackford, on Flickr May donation cards -Simple Life by jo.blackford, on Flickr And here is the full box! It’s been many months. I think the last box I mailed was for Christmas cards, unless I sent them a small box earlier in the year. Anyway, this is at least 4 months but maybe 6 months of donation cardmaking. 201 cards, 7.5lb box! Finally full!! May donation cards -Simple Life by jo.blackford, on Flickr I’m totally wiped out. I actually put a few pieces of leftover paper in the recycle bin, I hate it so much! (a photo realistic close up cow hide? Or something gross like that) and I was so relieved to recycle the paper pad cover. I have a little bin of scraps that I hope not to look at until fall. Using up 12x12 pads is exhausting! My table is cleared off and I’m excited to do something totally different tomorrow.

This layout was supposed to be for a journaling challenge on another site. I searched my photos for ages trying to find a photo to go with a quote by my son about his baby cousin. I thought I'd found the perfect photos, and did this whole layout. I got to the very end where I put the date on it, and I suddenly realised that the baby couldn't possibly have been my niece, because she would have been 2yo on that date. So then DSO and I had to try and work out who on earth this random baby was! We *think* we know who it is. So I just changed the journaling and called it done. Now I have to go find different photos for the challenge..... 'Handle With Care' template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee, 'Storyteller April 2020' kit by Just Jaimee.

Good thing you can make changes pretty easily with digital. Lovely “random baby” page, anyway! I wouldn’t have guessed the story behind it from reading what you wrote.

grammadee I left you some random comments on your beautiful pages in the gallery - sorry I'm so far behind with leaving love this month. You've been busy! Are you finished the Hawaii album now? That must've been lovely to work on while your northern spring was just getting started. ETA: I guess you were posting about being DONE at the same time I asked this! lol

This is the replacement layout for the journaling challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to include at lease three lines of dialogue. The journaling that I included was a conversation that I used to have with my son when he was 3yo (and having written that, I just realised that I forgot to put the date on the page, grrr!). I used the 'Oscar and Olive' kit by Becca Bonneville and a 'Handle With Care' template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee.

Sharing a 2 pager I got done thanks to peas and the google hangouts keeping me on track! I was having trouble deciding which photos to use, so I included most of them. And then, today, I found about 8 more... all great expressions. I'm glad I didn't see them while doing the layout, and I might still have to do another page to include all the new found photos! Even tho they are the "same" layout tubing expressions by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Here are the two pages I finished yesterday evening while on the Peas Hangout chat. Vicki Boutin got into my head, I think. I HAD to cut the photos that way! I was already planning to use the transparency sheet he had used to mix his paints on, and I got to use that as well on these pages. Live love Create by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Live Love Create 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Lots of use of his and my art supplies for these projects. He stamped. He used water colour pencil crayons and a brush. He cut--"with your pointy scissors, Gramma"--and did lots of Mod podging. These pages will have a 6x12" insert between them. I took photos of dgs holding his finished artwork, but they were not among the photos I had printed last week. So I will display him with the card on one side and with the canvas on the other. POINTS: two pages created and shared (4). #1 nine photos for the Donna challenge (9), #11 fussy cut the acetate (2), #15 stamped hearts (1), #16 diecut heart (1), #17 new VB (2), #18 Patterned papers (2), #20 five pic's on page one (5), #37 journaling card (1), #38 acetate (2). Total: 29

Congrats on another donation box filled, joblackford. Thank you for sharing your cards with us! So many different looks with the same paper lines. And all of them beautiful. KikiPea, your vacation pages are gorgeous. Starting with the wonderful photos! Love your signature clusters, of course, but also those stenciled waves. Beautiful! Hope I caught the rest on Flickr.

Wow joblackford, so many cards! I can just imagine the happiness they will spread. Both your layouts are so sweet, AussieMeg. Picking up the colors in the clothes in the background papers? Wow. So busy grammadee. How precious to use the actual art tools in the layout and capture your sweet moments together. I love adding "stuff" to my pocket page album. I'm adding my ballot by mail envelope in my May pages. kitbop, I like how all the photos tell a complete story and capture the action. gramma your scrapping group is so lucky to get those swap sets. If you get anything cool in return, let us know.

This LO is for a challenge at The Lilypad, where we had to use at least one mini photo 2x2 or 3x2. I used styles and word art from the 'Art & Nature' kit by NBK Designs, and a 'Travel Story Stamp' by The Committed Crafter.

Another two pages with photos I printed last week. My ddil had sent these photos of the boys after Mothers' Day. Not sure of the location, but I am thinking Bragg Creek, near Calgary. Used a number of different manufacturers and lines here, but they all worked really well together and with the photos, I think. I didn't do as much in my virus diaries this weekend - I wasn't very focused. It took me no time to make the kitchen adventures page on the computer, but I needed to sit down quietly today to write the garden journal page (and I'm still not sure I fit all the journaling I wanted to get in, but it'll do for this page). The birthday spread was one I knew would be kind of fun, using Facebook photos from my friend's drive-by parade on the left and a photo from hubby's car picnic birthday on the right. Finding letter stickers with enough As and a T took more time than anything! gah. May Virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr May Virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr

I finished some cards... watercolored them on Monday, figured out some sentiments today. I didn’t follow through with my original plan for the ostrich/emu lady - I was going to have “judging you” in small font on the front and a big “you’re doing a fantastic job!” on the inside. I think I will make one of those in the next batch. May cards - TH hipsters by jo.blackford, on Flickr Inside the goat card: May cards - TH hipsters by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Last 2 page spread in the Big Island anniversary trip@album! I 1 page LO left. Yay!!! This is a great way to use a piece of paper that was a little damaged. The photos completely covered it up, so it didn’t go to waste! 😁 The right side map paper at the top is upside down on purpose. I wanted the green/blue area at the top to meet in the middle. LOL

Wow, KikiPea ! I love the collage of photos giving such a wonderful overview of your adventures! Love the little his of pizzazz you added around the title words, too. Great photos, and using the map that way is very creative. In contrast, this is a very simple LO with very few actual photos of the event I was documenting. This is for the May Donna challenge, and I hope I can claim a point or two from the iNSD challenges. I received two photos of my dgs's April bd from my ddil. I added a couple of photos of the card I had sent him, and spread this over two pages. Got to use some old BB diecuts and some new Photo Play diecuts. I plan to add his name above the pp strip on the first page, but decided to post this now. Keep your Game Face on! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). #1 Donna Challenge birthday (5) plus two photos (2), #5 banner (1), #7 5 fonts in title (4), #17 new Quarantine diecuts (2), #18 pp (2), #23 inked edges (2), #26 sports (backyard football) (1), #27 socially distanced bd (4), #32 bd cake (1), #37 journaling cards (2). azcrafty, joblackford, grammadee, AussieMeg, kitbop, and gramma, I left love in the gallery. KikiPea, I love the angle of the sunset photo on your Sun Kissed layout. I love your waves. Are they stenciled? Your clusters are amazing. Beautiful page. You make the most wonderful vacation layouts.~ I love that double page layout with so many great photos. Even with 23 photos you have left room for clustered items. I love the texture on Adventure and Wander. This is a great overview of your vacation. Here are the Cards I finished for Card Club. However, by the time we can get together again it will be Winter or Fall. Also a Graduation card for our Ashley who graduated this week.

Gorgeousness! joblackford - the cards are totally my style, they make me laugh and I love the watercolouring. Swoon over your covid journal - as I've said before, the style is so inviting, and is that Shimelle 6x8 paper - it is so perfect there! KikiPea, great use of the tropical theme and drinks die cuts. Love your clusters! Comments in the gallery for AussieMeg nylene (btw, the rainbow clouds are dead easy using a cloud edge stencil, distress oxide inks, and a blending brush. They do overlap a bit but it's very forgiving, you don't have to be careful) and grammadee. My new layout (finished it over a week ago, never photographed it) uses older Simple Stories pps and frames, some truly old SC stickers and older AC burlap heart stickers. layout child overboard by kirstendrew, on Flickr I also posted my sketchy saturday page using VB lines (I've lost track of which ones): LAYOUT GROUP GLOWER by kirstendrew, on Flickr

One more LO for me, today. It was fun to work with a photo of one of my scrapbook pages from 2010 across from a screenshot of the same dgd last week. It DOES take ten years, but they DO grow up so fast! Used some VB vellum and packaging with older Reminisce papers. The more things change by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Points: two pages created & shared (4). #1 two photos for the Donna challenge (2), #7 two fonts in title on each page (2), #11 fussy cut the musical pp (2), #12 used stencilled stars (2), #17 new VB (2), #17 patterned paper (2), #23 inked edges (2), #30 letter stickers (2) + bonus for using a 3 for an E (5), #38 vellum (2). Total: 27.

kitbop thanks! Always happy to think that my cards make people laugh a bit. Yes, the 6x8 paper is one of Shimelle’s journaling pad papers. I just got Never Grow Up and it’s a really great mix of small scale pattern sheets from the collection (great for cardmaking) and really useful journaling papers. So annoying that they finally got that right and then dropped her.

I made a quick card for my dad’s birthday - it’s going to be late, so I was going for a time flies or maybe a not old but vintage theme, but then I discovered that I had a time to celebrate stamp, so that was lucky! I didn’t plan to have a big sentiment on the front. And then at the last minute I decided to sloppy watercolor it using leftover colors on my palette, so I have a before and after watercoloring photo. May Dad’s birthday card by jo.blackford, on Flickr

This LO is for a travel photo challenge at The Lilypad. I used some Big Fade templates by Lynn Grieveson, and pretty much NO embellishments! These photos are from a trip I took with my dad and my aunty in 1993. I am stunned at how few photos I took on this trip. Like disappointed stunned. I mean, these days I will take 100+ photos of a one day trip to the beach. And here I was in the freakin Greek Isles and I only took about half a dozen photos of each place. Yes, back then we used film camera instead of digital, but still. OMG.
