This LO is for a style challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to use at least 3 B&W photos in a photo strip. I used a 'Messy Pockets Photo Booth' template and the 'April' kit, both by Lynn Grieveson. I have been sitting on this LO for weeks, I just wasn't 100% satisfied with how it looked. It's the last challenge I had to do in order to get my 30% discount coupon, so I just had to all it done. Ugh.

Here are two pages for my All about ME book. Why is justjac featured on these pages in my book? Because not only did she get me into scrapbooking, she has been a great friend for 20 years, ready for scrappy play IRL &/or on line, and, as the title says, "Crafty Girls ROCK! Also the card on the left page (with the inside message on the right) was created by her! Crafty Girls Rock by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Points: two pages created & shared (4). We have had downpours all day, thunder starting at 8am! so it was a good day to work on my virus diaries. Apologies for the pictures though - the lighting was obviously terrible. This first page is me making sure I don’t forget to mention lots of little things I probably won’t be able to fit into the journal in detail. The photos of my friends at the bottom were not taken by me - they just made me laugh and represented some creativity during the isolation (the photographer took their portraits from the other side of the fence). The right side has some shows we’ve been streaming, and flips up for more detail. The hidden part has less photogenic show photos and some comments about some of them. The Booksellers poster is just tacked onto the back for now - I have another movie to stream and then I’ll add some journaling about how doing that supports our local theater. May virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr May virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr I saved one of my sports stories for a “covidiots” page I plan to do soon, but I wanted to record the sumo basho we watched without an audience and the state of sports, in as much as I care (not much!) BTW If you haven’t seen Jelle’s Marble Runs I recommend their YT channel, especially for kiddos and people who miss watching sports. It’s amazing. May virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr

I finished a page during the hang-out last night - I had it half-way done from the week prior, but hadn't even rememberered it. There's a lot of pp here, but it's less bright in person. I used gesso to make a white circle on the pp behind my photos before I added the punched scalloped circles. layout flying solo by kirstendrew, on Flickr joblackford - just watched my first ever marble race.

YEssssss! What did you think? I love the crowds of marble spectators at the Marblempyics (is that the spelling?!) and their little fan signs, and the commentary is so good. You start to believe the little marbles really are trying as hard as the commentator says they are Your Flying Solo page is so good. The colors are spectacular, I would never have guessed that you created the background circle with gesso. I love the title. Really beautiful. (and <3 your new profile picture - how are things going at work?)

I only managed one virus diaries page today and it’s almost all journaling, somewhat political, with a little watercolor thrown in. The photo on the page is a screenshot from Jamaica Edgell’s instagram - she did something I thought was so spot-on it made more sense just to include her version with credit than to try to do my own (and I missed out on buying the die cut she used). I built the page on a sheet of paper I printed with a dot grid then watercolored a frame before I stuck the page down. The HS Storyline album paper held up ok to watercolor. I didn’t use much and it crinkled a bit, but the reverse side is still usable. May virus diaries covidiots by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Here are my pages for May. Sorry team hey, IMO there’s no need to apologize for getting 3 layouts done! I’m not sure if we’re on the same team or not, but anyway, we’re all just doing what we can right now (and always!)
