well, go back and look at Leo's police officer thread, and the most outspoken against her, and compare it to who had access to the cmas card list......just saying That would not show anything. Her email was put in a thread on the board. Anyone who can see the board could see her email. They threatened that they had her physical address and that would only be someone on the list |

This. I said what I needed to say, leowife messaged me separate from the thread and there were zero hard feelings. Whoever has emailed her deserves to be blocked from the board.  I agree. I just don’t have that level of trust, unfortunately. I’m sorry to hear somebody posted LEO’s info. That’s inexcusable. Posting personal information of another member is never ok. Unfortunately, it has been done on this board and neither one was banned. |

Ladies, thank you. This might not help, but it's not the first time and it wont be the last. Just part of the life I chose to be a part of. I've always felt comfortable sharing my information for the card swap but this has me re-thinking moving forward. The email that was sent was from a made up email as It did not match anyone's from the swap for the past several years. What is the worst is the 2peas card swap email is only used by PEAS. Like I said Chicken..what's it called Keyboard Cowboys? Please continue to share ideas, question the bad and share the good. I am limiting my interaction on the board till things calm down. For all the Peas that are well...wonderful, I'll be around just in the background for now. Messages will be checked and returned but this will be my last post for a while, giving Peas the time to grieve, vent and recover. I look forward to sharing recipes, family fun and debating ideas in the future. Enjoy ladies. (((hugs))) I'm sorry. I despise people who sit behind a computer screen and spew hatred |

This LEO family grieves for yours. This is exactly the problem with today's world. I'm truly sorry that you experienced the vile acts by cowards. Sadly, you are right we face that kind of crap everyday, yet your husband is willing to lay down his life when a POS like them calls for help. Can you have the emails ip address traced?
I read some of the controversial threads, but try to avoid replying. It's not worth my time and effort to argue about something.
I've read the thread that likely lead to this hateful behavior.
My guess is you can narrow the culprits down to a small list, based on the hatefulness on the thread in question. Then crosscheck those screen names, to see if they are participants are on the card list.

I think you had to sign up for the swap to access the email address, I don't think it was available to all of the Peas. |

I believe she wrote “message/emails”, plural, and then also said that someone claimed to have her mailing address. Is everyone in the card exchange privy to multiple mailing addresses and email addresses?

We had someone who refused to participate last year because someone (maybe two?) sent them hate mail instead of a holiday card. I’m guessing it’s the same person(s). We are not given email addresses. I’m sorry to hear somebody posted LEO’s info. No one posted her info. Her email address (she has one just for the card exchange) could be found on the sign up thread. That's the address that was used to send her hate email. |

The problem with that is there is a rat in the core group. Either someone is being a co-asshole by giving another member the address, or the asshole is in the Christmas card group. Either way, there's at least one asshole that we have included in 2Peas. |

Secondly, I wouldn't assume the most vocal would be the most threatening, it seems those peaple aren't worried about hiding behind a fake email. Regardless, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this @leowife Differing opinions or not is no reason for people to threaten you and your family |

We have an entire group of slimy people who slink off and come back under new screen names, sometimes several times. They are too weak and broken to stand up for their convictions honestly and openly. They are still posting on this board and for the most part we have a pretty good idea who they are. So this whole anonymous threat thing doesn't surprise me at all, but it as sickening as those who run and then come back with a new name. |
