Please come here to share what you make this month. And please take some time to comment on what others have created. I have [finally] printed my photos from March, April and May, and am feeling like I am playing catch up. I really want to get those winter and spring photos into an album before I have too many summer pic's to scrap. Looking forward to seeing what you are creating this month. Are you planning to play along with the CIJ crop? Will you be finishing up pages documenting past holidays? Or will you be working ahead on 2020 cards or gifts? Let the June fun begin!

Lovely Easter pages grammadee - I figured the page you posted at the last minute for May must be those eggs we voted on! What a nice way to gather the whole family together on one page even though you were far apart. Good for you, featuring your smiling self on your spring cover page! I always love to see people include themselves. It’s so important. Lots of lovely layers on that page and I love the spring banner. Did your spring already come and go? I see friends in the Middle posting about snow one minute and pools/the beach the next. Out here in the PNW spring lasts for 3 or 4 months! I plan to do some Christmas card repurposing for the crop. I’m thinking about whether or how to document last Christmas but I think I’ll do that in July - hopefully I’ll have the virus diaries more caught up by then. Ugh, where is the year going?!

grammadee 'Challenge' - Oh, this is such a neat idea, both the physically distanced easter egg dying and the LO to bring you all together despite the physical distance. I love all the round-ish elements that bounce off each other: the eggs, the portrait shots of those smiling faces, the dotted pattern paper, the coronavirus die-cut. This feels so happy despite the pandemic! The vellum journaling is so neat and reminded me of the membrane you have to peel off a hard-boiled egg. Ok, that came out far less appealing than I intended. I just thought it was a cool egg reference hidden in plain sight... Love this! 'Spring Selfie' - Gah, how adorable are you taking the centre stage of this page? Amazing! This looks like a beautiful self-portrait. Every element you've added to the page is a reflection of your identity: the pretty flowers, the soft colours, the classic pearl drops displaying movement of freedom and growth, the garden references. I love how you've added some torn edges at the bottom, too: it's such a visual statement on how we all come from a place of rawness, earthiness and spend life growing into our best, most achieved self. Lovely textures all around!

Looking forward to seeing what you are creating this month. Are you planning to play along with the CIJ crop? Will you be finishing up pages documenting past holidays? Or will you be working ahead on 2020 cards or gifts? Methinks I'll be playing along with the CIJ crop... *wink wink* I want to make a cobblestone Christmas album for last year. I love my small, fat 4x4 mini albums so much. They're also super easy to travel with and the pandemic has made me appreciate our (delayed until further notice) road trips and family visits that much more. I'm also going to work on my cobblestone pandemic album. Ideally, if I have enough time, I'd love to do some Christmas 2020 prep. I've got a feeling things will be quite different this time so I might need to prep things so I can send care parcels instead of meeting people. A couple of cards? Some tags for gifts? Advent calendar prep? I'm not 100% sure yet but I'm brainstorming ideas for this month.

Just chatting here today! I have spent 4 hours today on the cleaning up/reorganizing project. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
I have this storage piece in black from Hobby Lobby that I have had for several years.
I cleaned out all of the drawers and found a ton of stuff I haven’t touched in years, so it’s all going to a friend’s daughter. I erased all of the labels and relabeled them. There are a couple still empty, I just need to figure out what to put in them.
I also bought this from Michael’s yesterday. Never thought I needed one!
It fits perfectly in between my bookcase and my paper storage boxes. I will be using it to store my most current large projects (which is most likely a vacation album). Since it has wheels, I can move it over by my desk when in use, and put it away when I’m done. That way, my stuff will not be all over the floor!

Tuesday card challenge-sheetload of cards. I used an old dcwv paper pad to make cards for father's day. Sentiment is heat embossed.

I repurposed a couple of old cards for my donation bin and stuck down this experiment with heat embossing, light ink blending, and sentiments from my scrap bin covering a spot that didn’t emboss well. The butterfly stamp is by The Ton. I need to experiment more with this stamp and gold embossing powder. I didn’t love the shade of white this embossing powder came out (does anyone have a good cool white fine detail powder to recommend?) June sending love card by jo.blackford, on Flickr

joblackford that's a beautiful card, that stamp is gorgeous. Love how you let the stamp shine. I have two white embossing powders and you can definitely see the difference in the colors. I think it depends on the cs color too. Have you tried using clear embossing powder on the white?

Those Fathers' Day cards are a great use of that Sheetload design, azcrafty. I am constantly surprised by the differences in colours of white and black in inks, powders, papers. Great photo to illustrate the different ep's. Love your butterfly stamp, joblackford, and how you used it here. I really love the look of embossed images used as resist with mists and inks. That background has a beautiful subtle look to it. I need a LOT more practice doing this, but think I would like to try it again.

grammadee - You have a great start to this month! I love your Easter layouts! It is great you documented the differences in this year vs. other years. I also love that you got so many pictures scrapped! I love your Spring title page! So great that you used that beautiful selfie with the tree buds behind and the beautiful blue sky! A beautiful representation of spring! And I always love those pretty pearl swirls. KikiPea - So much orgainzing. It is funny you posted that first big storage thing. I have something very similar and just last week my daughter was using some of my stuff to make a little scrapbook for her best friend and she asked what was in there and I had to say, you know, it is nothing I have used in years. LOL! So, I think I need to go through it and see how to use it better.

I need to do this. Hubby always complains about my craft room. He says I'm trying to put 10lb stuff in a 5lb bag and doesn't matter how many times I organize my stuff.

I think it depends on the cs color too. Have you tried using clear embossing powder on the white? Thank you Using clear might be the beter solution because I'm pretty sure the powder I'm using right now is the less yellow of the two you showed! Of course every cardstock has a slightly different tone. The yellowish tone wasn't so noticeable on colored cardstock matted with white, and of course I'm being a perfectionist and no one else is noticing the shades of white anyway... lol. Maybe the solution is just to use GOLD! I saw someone stamp and emboss this butterfly in gold with watercolored flowers the other day and it was ex-quisite!!

I found some strips of paper in my die cut binder that needed to become cards, so I trimmed them a bit and stuck them down. These are the ends left over from cutting card fronts and 3 and a half cover the card pretty perfectly. I only had one half strip to toss in the trash when I was done. The die cut and stamped circles were leftover from last Christmas too. Good thing I was tidying up the binder yesterday, filing away more leftovers - I'd forgotten about them. Just for a laugh: I had to take this photo of my husband breaking the rules and using my TH heat tool to remove a broken screen from an iPad. He needed a tool to get in under the screen and borrowed one of my crafty x-acto knives too. Craft use only: breaking the rules by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Those metallic water colors you have would be beautiful with the stamp and the golf embossed. I bought some metallic watercolors after seeing your and used them on a page last month (one I never got posted) but I loved the look! So thanks for that enabling! Also, Jo, those cards are great! way to go using up scraps and making them look so good! I did get a bit nervious at your picture of your DH taking apart the iPad! That is very brave! But good you have the crafty tools to help him do it! gramma - I love those shirts and mask!! Lucky family to have a talented person that can do those. They look professional! And I love your Tanksgiving layout! The auqa on there just makes it pop and seem much more modern than the traditional darker Thanksgiving colors. And all that paper piecing at the bottom is lovely!

Started working on another unfinished project...Telluride 2019. Trying to find something to focus on instead of scrapping willy nilly (Although, I AM scrapping Wili! LOL), and having different piles of mess. Trying to reign in the mess...hence all of the reorganizing. Anyway, first LO down!

Also, Jo, those cards are great! way to go using up scraps and making them look so good! I did get a bit nervious at your picture of your DH taking apart the iPad! That is very brave! But good you have the crafty tools to help him do it! Yes! omg, the sounds were horrible! It was my SIL's old iPad, already replaced. The screen had been broken last year so she figured it would be worth trying to DIY replace it so she could gift it to a kid who couldn't afford a new one. We're not sure that the disassembly worked - the pros were all closed, so hubby watched some YT videos and gave it a shot. It was interesting to see what was inside. The screens are seriously glued on btw! Those metallic water colors you have would be beautiful with the stamp and the golf embossed. I bought some metallic watercolors after seeing your and used them on a page last month (one I never got posted) but I loved the look! So thanks for that enabling! Funny you should mention the metallic watercolors. Hubby was just trying to explain the SBA/Covid/Paycheck Protection loan forgiveness documentation to me, and as my brain started to melt I noticed a dark blue butterfly embossing experiment on my pinboard. I painted it with silver/white gold while he finished thinking aloud. I'll share how it came out when it dries but I think it's going to be really pretty.

Lovely start to the month, embarrassingly, my first visit to this thread this month... KikiPea, gorgeous layering in your clusters. Love using old supplies and bringing them back to life with new supplies! Great layouts gramma, wow, those grad t-shirts look amazing! I assume the grad's name is Madeline? "Mad the Grad?" And your layout, the die cutting, wow! joblackford, that pastel butterfly is so subtle and light, I love it! Everyone else: love in gallery Me, I finished a layout this week - wow, I could get 4 layouts done this month at this rate! I didn't like this about 1/2 way through, but then I love how it turned out. layout freaky fishy flashback by kirstendrew, on Flickr

So, I need to learn how to post my Flickr photo links here. I know there’s a thread on how to do it, I just need to do it. It’s just so much easier to use the attachments, until you have to go back and delete them. 🤪
