grammadee Your spring/easter layouts are wonderful! I especially love the story behind Eggstra Special. I like the mix of textures on your Spring layout and how you've paired up all the floral elements. I find florals to be confusing to design with, so they tend to go unused. KikiPea I'd love to see a photo when you are done with your organizing. I love taking a peek inside other crafty spaces. Great Telluride layout - cute pup and fun doodling! I'm going through and leaving comments and just realized I used the same "colorful" sticker as you, lol! azcrafty These are great! Is the "sheetload of cards" made using a specific template? joblackford Your butterfly card is lovely - very dreamy! I love white embossed images with delicate lines. I think Tonic's white embossing powder is fairly cool? Not sure how fine it is though. I have a bad habit of saving every last scrap of Christmas paper to create holiday cards like you've done and I never do! You have inspired me to take advantage of next week's Christmas in June event and try to make a dent in my scrap stash. Thank you! gramma Your shirts are so awesome and will surely elevate her special day. I love all the blue in your Thanksgiving layout. The smattering of polka dots that give movement to your page is very striking! kitbop Love your fish layout! Love the bright colors and your use of the pennant flags. AussieMeg This is a really cute layout! Now I want to see the jumper that inspired your DIY kit.

Here are a couple more layouts created this week. For this layout, I could NOT find a blue in ALL my paper that matched the blues in her outfit. The closest I could find was this floral paper that had small pops of blue, and I had only a 6x6 piece. The best I could do to bring in the blue was the alpha stickers and a small heart embellishment. This layout started with the colorful textured rub-ons from the 2012 Pink Paislee collection from Christy Tomlinson called She Art. I was reorganizing some of my stickers sheets and the packaging was too wide to fit into a new container. I decided it was time to use them or throw them away - so I used them all! This is my attempt at a sarcastic layout. A question for those of you using the extra challenges. Do you tend to look at the list and make a plan of which ones you want to use before starting a project, or do you create something and then see what challenges fit what you made? For both of these I created and will go back and see where they fit in the challenges. I'm curious what your process is.

Love your pages, Ryann ! Awesome layering. The yellow is the perfect colour to highlight that bit of blue on the first, and I see some blue in the floral pp. I love the mixed media look on the second, and how the embellishments/title cascade down the page. Great punny title! As for planning to meet the challenges, I sometimes design a project around a specific challenge, especially a higher point one. But mostly I just do the LO the way it goes together and then figure out the points later. As the month goes on, a particular "points worthy" type of embellishment or theme collection will be near the top of the pile of stuff on my counter and I tend to add that to almost every project. I also love the challenges that hand out points for stuff I almost always do--like inked &/or torn edges. Don't have to plan for those points! I also tend to notice things that meet challenges--like hexagons, for example--so will choose those elements over other possibilities.

I've made some progress in my virus diaries. I worked on some pages I've had percolating for weeks. The first one is grocery shopping (again) and home hair cuts. I had too much to say about shopping so I printed a second copy of the IACB TN paper but added typed journaling first. The haircut kiddos are my friend's kid and my nephew pulling a "scared?" face. I haven't had the guts to cut my own hair yet so I'm not featured. Forgot to say my hubby has cut his own for ages already. Need a cute pair of scissors sticker to fill in that gap above the "Co" in covid. June - virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr June - virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr I didn't know when/how to put the death toll stats in. They've been slotted into the April-ish part of the journal but they're actually stats from last week. I've explained why that doesn't matter and added some other numbers I had been recording. Design-wise, not quite as layered as I might have hoped - considered using vellum, might somehow add that at some point (actually just had an IDEA!... might work...) June - virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr Memes and screenshots, a sampling: June - virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr Silly selfies, a small collection. I will add the story of making and wearing a mask on the left. June - virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr Pretty good progress, and my brain is firing with some more ideas for tomorrow. Hope you all are having a good weekend

Oh my, @ryannmarie, I LOVE your COlOURS! Your layers are luscious, and I especially love those rub on areas. Your 2nd layout made me laugh, how many pictures like that have we almost taken... joblackford, your ideas for documentation are continuing to amaze me. Your book is going to be a treasure to whoever gets to look through it. It's you, but it's all of us too. This generation, ages 10-90, is going to talk about this year for a long time, and it will definitely be something that separates us from younger generations to come. I imagine people who lived through the world wars feel the same way about us.

I scrapped with friends (in person!) for the first time since February. It was a great day! And as a bonus, I got several layouts done. 😀 This is just a random photo of my daughter that I liked. I have scrapped other photos from this day and journaled but I wanted to scrap this photo too.

Started working on another unfinished project...Telluride 2019. Trying to find something to focus on instead of scrapping willy nilly (Although, I AM scrapping Wili! LOL), and having different piles of mess. Trying to reign in the mess...hence all of the reorganizing. Anyway, first LO down! Oh, cute puppy!! Love the clusters, especially when I look up close like a viewer would IRL. So many pretty details <3

So, I need to learn how to post my Flickr photo links here. I know there’s a thread on how to do it, I just need to do it. It’s just so much easier to use the attachments, until you have to go back and delete them. 🤪 Did you get that figured out? I’m happy to walk you through the process, whether your Flickr is private or public.

Used a lot of old stuff and paired it with new! Such lovely colors. I love using a couple of photos overlapped to create a panorama. My dad used to do that with our film photos in his photo albums in the 80s. The fall flower and leaf embellishments are beautiful. sorry each of these comments was in its own little box. Stupid iPad commenting...

It’s birthday weekend, so I haven’t taken the time to read through it, but I will...probably tomorrow since DH will be at work. 🙂

goodness - we're already 2 pages in...I need to catch up I made 52 postcards to send to a nursing home for the residents and then 8 cards for my letter-writing stash - used up a 6x6 pad from the summer 2019 EP kit and a bunch of scrap cardstock. My photos aren't very good - pouring rain here so lighting isn't great inspiration from oldstablescrafts.co.uk/2020/05/flowers-for-every-season-miles-apart-cards.html

I made a gift tag this weekend, praise be! I'm getting crafty again (and that's a small victory in itself). Oh, yay! And a very beautiful gift tag it is! Lovely layers, and such a cute little character ewe stamped! (Quick cultural question: I notice that the box for the gift doesn't seem to be wrapped - is that usual, or is that just you being minimalist?)

Printed the NYT cover straight from the internet onto vellum and overlayed the graphs. Oh, joblackford, that is *so* neat. I love how delicate it looks while also being an interactive element. The veil effect looks wonderful, especially with the stark black and white contrast dominating the colour scheme for the page. Very graphic, very cool way to make a "soft bold" statement.

(Quick cultural question: I notice that the box for the gift doesn't seem to be wrapped - is that usual, or is that just you being minimalist?) Thanks! As for the gift not being wrapped: it was a case of not being able to. We definitely use paper and try to surprise the recipient usually. I'm just out of giftwrap paper right now and it's not one of those things I can order for pick-up from my local grocery store right now. I'll stock up on an extra roll when I go shopping in store again.

I'll stock up on an extra roll when I go shopping in store again. I wouldn’t normally have thought of it/asked but you surprised me with not giving Christmas cards! Thought maybe the slightly strange ritual of temporarily hiding gifts in fancy paper might not be as widespread as I had thought. Lol. Hadn’t thought about it being a pandemic thing. Every place has such different restrictions on essential, especially now as things start to loosen up. (which I plan to make a page about - note to self!)

Thank you! I had ideas of having several pages of vellum charts laid over each other, kind of obscuring each other, but that didn’t pan out (I chickened out! Didn’t think it would work) so I was excited when my brain reminded me of the NYT page that I’d meant to include and the two ideas kind of came together. thank you sleepingbooty too.

I think the blues you brought in are just right, just enough to pick up the outfit! The colors are fabulous. and I love that you used up an old supply because it wouldn’t fit into the storage container. That’s the kind of thing I do too I think it turned out great, and those rub one are much better in the page than in your stash. I love it. I’ve been doing easy peasy points the past few months - just haven’t had the energy to look at the challenges and calculate anything. But when I did, honestly, I would scan through the challenges at the beginning of the month and then forget about most of them. I would just make what I was going to make and then see what points that yielded. I’m not short on inspiration, only time and energy, and as a card maker/photobooker mostly, a lot of the challenges weren’t particularly relevant to me anyway.

I had fun with this one! I used the one on the right as inspiration. I may use it again, because I really like the look, and the only thing that really looks like it is the bottom embellishment strip. LOL
Background is from the Vicki Boutin mixed media paper pad, but I did add the rose gold glaze on top.
