I was mad about the alleged black listing, Which I also admitted Here being one of my hot button issues. I could not find anything that said or showed Tim was racist if there were racist posts on the original card picture I didn’t see them.
I only discussed it here because by the time I was done with work that day I was already on team confused. So no emails sent, I was too confused on whom to ask what by the end of the day. I just discussed it here and read stuff from both FB groups and got further & further confused.
I’m still a tiny bit confused, but I’m sure it’ll all come out in the next few weeks.
Peas have a way of cutting to the truth in these things. As usual.

I took her side as well at first, and after a day I decided to sit on the fence unsure what to believe.
I support fan art. There's a calling for it and shows/movies won't make the product because they won't make a lot for it. They're also unlikely to go after small companies that make it. Disney did go after a lot of "The Child" stuff because they decided to create because they didn't expect him to be popular.
The night this started I did go and buy The Office set from Ink Road. A stamp set I thought about buying and she was having a sale.

FurryP same... I've been saying this for years and I'm happy that people are recognizing the issue because I think a lot of consumers don't even realize it's illegal. It's not just Ink Road Stamps and Kindred Stamps... Kelly Purkey did it all the time, pretty blatantly, and Studio Calico from time to time, although they were a little more careful to avoid using obvious names (such as stamps with obvious Disney or Harry Potter icons were simply called "magic" rather than what they actually were). I think a lot of us realize it’s illegal but don’t care because truly we would prefer to buy fan created stuff. Disney is never going to offer the kind of images I want in my cards/albums, and although I recognize that they have certain legal rights, I don’t generally agree with the law extending to fan created interpretations. I’m on the side of fan fiction, fan art, and all that (sort of grey area) fair use. Sometimes it goes way too far, for sure (the guy who sold horrifically expensive huge artworks of other people’s IG posts without their consent or knowledge with no alteration or “art” to it at all) but I would actually be sad if all these pop culture stamp companies had their products pulled. I can live with the contradiction. Shrug. I see your point and it is a shame when companies won't allow their license to be used to make products from the retailers we like for scrapbooking. However, I have seen Disney licensed scrapbooking supplies in the past at big box retailers, not sure who they were made by, possibly American Crafts? They are definitely not my "style" and I totally see why limiting the copyright makes it less accessible but, as a lawyer, especially one who has seen how copyright infringement had a huge negative financial impact on an employer of mine (and their copyright was infringed by KP before), I am always going to be on the side of the law. Still, we can agree to disagree That said, scrapbooking supplies don't fall under fan art, not even close, so no one should think that maybe it's a grey area. It's really not. The fan art exemption really only applies for artistic expression that is based on the original, not attempting to copy the original--for example, a caricature painting of Mickey Mouse would possibly be able to get in the fan art exemption, a stamp that is just copying the ear shape and is only valuable to the purchasers because it looks like Mickey is not.

I've seen Disney licensed scrapbooking products before, and most of it is so themed and kid centric that it doesn't work for a lot of scrappers. As a single, childless adult, when I scrap Disney pictures, I want a hint of Disney, not Disney all over the place in bright cartoony colors. They'd be wise to look at the products consumers are buying and release a line of products aimed at those customers.

They'd be wise to look at the products consumers are buying and release a line of products aimed at those customers. Totally agree... I'm not using those products either. It'd be nice if they decided it was worth investing licenses in modern scrapbooking products... but, as the holder of the intellectual property, they have that choice. Free market and all that. Not saying I like it, per se, I just understand why the law is there and respect it... and feel others should too. It's not a victimless crime. Yes, Disney is a huge corporation that is probably doing fine financially, but that doesn't make stealing from them okay... and lots of intellectual property is owned by smaller companies, nonprofits, governments and individuals... they all have a right to profits off of what they create. In fact, lots of research has been done on the positive effects of IP protections... namely individuals and companies are more willing to invest time & money developing creations and then are more willing to share their creations with the world knowing that others can't just knock them off.
The original point... why this was even raised on this thread... was that Lara flipped out on people for purchasing stamps from AX that were knock offs of her stamps... but she knocks off the intellectual property of corporations in her stamps. Why should she have a right to protect her intellectual property if she is not respecting the rights of those companies to protect their intellectual property? She was just being hypocritical. It's not okay to cry and scream when others break the law because it hurts you if you turn around and break the same law to benefit yourself. That's why the law is there--Everyone deserves the same protection under the law... multinational corporation to starving artist, and everyone inbetween.

Lara just posted a YouTube video apologizing for wrongly accusing Tim, Mario and a Zoe! I can’t believe she didn’t check her facts first. What she has done is outrageous! Not good enough at all! youtu.be/hNkIUpcuFEM

Not good enough at all! youtu.be/hNkIUpcuFEMShe’s so full of it. She lied. She is now claiming that she got the emails from this other person, yet so many things she said were all her. She attacked their followers, was ugly towards many supporters, and double & triple downed on her attacks. She did this apology for herself. #InkroadstampsCANCELED

Methinks the lawyers have been knocking at her door.
Lies, of course, all of it. Trying to blame it on someone else is crap. So much of what she said in the accusations supposedly involved her personally, and she said she had contacted them in private, though she denies it now. Zoe, in some of the back and forth on I think the youtube video, alluded to the fact the she had been trying to tell Lara she had been duped from the get-go.
So sad to think that folks went and ordered from her and she got sales at the height of all this mess. Which I suspect was the goal all along. BLECH. How many more people now know who she is and what her company is?? I had never heard of her before.

Why, after all that, would she admit that they were fake? Even if lawyers were going after her, she could have just pulled the video and said she wasn’t going to say anything else about it. I find it really odd that someone would own up to lying about this after carrying on.

I find it really odd that someone would own up to lying about this after carrying on. She claims she was misled. That whoever forwarded them to her was lying to her and using her and her social media platforms. She maintains that she thought they were real and was championing the cause and did not realize she was being tricked until now. Admits to not verifying. Technically, she never says that she, herself, lied about anything. She says that the person who sent her all of this stuff turns out to be a stalker and serial harasser of TH and his team. Which there may be some truth to that part, as I said before, Zoe made the comment that Lara was being duped. But still, so much personal involvement on Lara's part that I do not feel sorry for her even if she were legit tricked. She did more than just republish the emails. And she did lie and make allegations about things that have nothing to do with the emails, and claimed to personally witness what went down on the Addicts post.

I watched about 2 minutes of the apology video and had to turn that shitshow off. She claims she never contacted Tim. But didn’t she say in one of the now deleted videos that she did reach out to Tim? I thought I remembered her saying that. She also flat out lied about not knowing the card was taken down by the artist. She posted a Instagram story saying that the artist took it down and then days later, she doubled down on her claim that the admins deleted it. I think she was so spun in her web of lies, she forgot what she had said.

Interesting.
I'm keeping both parties on my 'caution' list. It was a shitshow that showed both parties to be unprofessional, imo.

I watched. 1000% she only admitted to being a lair is to keep their lawyers off of her.
If you don’t want to watch, she says she was used by another lady to hurt Tim. The emails, all accusations were made up. She never had any evidence of Tim being a bully. She apologized and promised not to do it again. 🙄

Honestly, I’m not sure what to believe. I hope the emails were really fake but I do have my doubts. One of the emails from “Tim” at the very beginning says that Zoe had been removed from his brand. She is currently still an Admin on the FB group and posted today. At the very least that email from “Tim” is fake, and if that one is fake I’d lean more towards the others being fake as well.
