I am Team Tim and will gladly give my money to support his products. I especially love his Halloween and Christmas items. His inks, Tiny Attacher and Stamp Press are favorites of mine too!

Not believing a word that comes out of Lara's mouth. You know...she's never had trouble naming names and calling people out before. Why is she so discreet about the supposed stalker? She's full of shit.

So, are they unblocking those who dared asked what was going on or are we still on the naughty step? Yah, still a shitshow all around.

Words have consequences.
She clearly doesn't get it. Hope the lawyers go after her for libel.
Interesting that Ink Road Stamps is coming out with a link of black artists matter stamps. And has other BLM stamps available.
As my mom taught me.... Think before you speak.

I (now) realize Tim was innocent of what she was accusing him of....but he still did block a bunch of people that were asking questions. That still leaves a yuck taste in my mouth. I've never been his target audience, and will probably stay that way.

His name is his brand so he needed to protect it at all costs—even smarter since it’s been revealed Lara was a liar and the accusations she flung out there were pretty bad. I don’t blame him one bit for shutting that conversation down.

I think the IG post that says “the truth will not cost...” is pretty unclassy and unprofessional.
Clearly Lara was stirring up shit and lying but everyone knows now. Putting those words up on IG really makes me think he and/or Mario really did say some of those things and reacted poorly. The IG post is very emotion based.
A simple “The allegations are untrue. Our legal team is handling this situation.” would have signaled to the scrap community that Lara was out of her mind and Tim’s group were professionals at all times.

The message is tacky and unprofessional. I think most of us now see Lara is clearly unhinged with some serious issues going on upstairs. He didn’t need to get in a dig on his way out the door and hand slap her publicly. That is what she did to him 🙄 Silly to tit for tat. Why didn’t he post this instead “we’re grateful to those who stood by us. time to forget the mistake and remember the lesson...” This would have made a better public statement.

I still feel like there was something...something underneath it all.
"Something is rotten in the state of Denmark."
There is still a lurking feeling that something weird kicked this all off.

They did that—came right out with a post stating that it was not true——but nope, crafting community wanted to keep going with running with the accusations that Lara made. And as for finding fault in what he posted on his IG—- Why the heck is he not allowed to say anything? His post serves as a good reminder that if you’re going to lie about someone on social media that it could have dire consequences for BOTH parties. I mean look at the thread here and see how many peas said they wouldn’t buy TH again based on the lies Lara told. She was trying to ruin his business—I’d say he showed phenomenal restraint in responding in any way to her stupidity.

Yeah, a bully who has done this crap before, who was intent on trying to destroy the business of a person based 100% on lies she made up. Lara alluded to a person who supposedly sent her fake emails, but no evidence of another person exists.

I just don’t think they responded or dealt with this professionally. Way too much emotion came into it. The caption on his IG post is totally fine — the image is unnecessarily overdramatic. ETA: To be clear, I think Lara is a nut and a shit starter. I feel for Tim having to deal with this, but if you own a business (esp with your name on it), you can't let your public-facing messaging get emotional.

Before this I had no knowledge of Lara or Ink road. She did nothing to encourage me to use her business that I now know about. Yes, Lara has earned whatever fallout legally that comes from this and also has earned what ever sour grapes she has sown amongst the public who buy stamps. Her problem to deal with her own ‘Publicity’. Obviously I’d heard of Tim and have a few of his products, I’ve liked some but not all of the products I’ve bought. To be honest his teams handling of this hasn’t done him any favors either. The banning, the odd public statements. It’s been weird. Without proof, I’m not going to boycott his non sizzix products. I like Ranger ink. However, the quote in the image echoes the threat that was supposedly not made, that will stick in the back of my mind - he did that not Lara. Funny thing is, I was really letting that issue go, thinking that was part of Lara’s craziness, until that graphic brought I back to mind. That graphic gets a lot of side eye from me.

Not really the same thing, but...
I had a trainee who did not make it through her probationary period, go to HR afterwards and complain. She specifically called me racist, and tried to get me fired. She was lying, very inflammatory and it was very very upsetting to me. I have been anti racist before it was called that.
Everyone involved knew me. The office is small and there were witnesses 100% of the time. I did not actually have to defend myself, because I have been at my job 13 years and not one person could think of an instance that was racist. Even people who do not particularly care for me, came to my defense. It had to be thoroughly investigated and I kept my job, with the accusation being determined as baseless.
Even with all that backing, even with everyone knowing it was not true-it was still an awful experience. I never actually worried about my job, although if they had determined I was racist in my dealings with her I could have been demoted at the least.
I did my best to remain professional. It was very very difficult and I can honestly say I was not perfect at that 100% of the time. I can only imagine how Tim, Mario and the rest of everyone felt. People do not "know" them. A lot of people are still not going to buy his products. All I am saying is that it is very difficult to remain professional at all times when you are being "attacked" and especially for something as vile as racism.

I am dismayed and appalled by this entire thread. First it began as an endless effort to bash Tim Holtz and his team without any proof other than the vile and baseless ravings of someone who clearly has issues. Even after the woman figured out her lies no longer carried any weight, her apology was self serving. She giggled and laughed throughout.
And what do many of you do? Continuing bashing Tim Holtz. If someone posted a video accusing you of endless offenses, one after another after another based upon nothing, how would you react? Tim and Mario and Zoe are human beings. Their restraint was remarkable. Their last post could have been something very different, but it was something simple and restrained.
You all need to wake up and remember where this started and why and stop criticizing the victims. That is victim bashing and it is shameless. Insisting that Tim and his colleagues should behaves differently in light of baseless, damaging, slanderous accusations is beyond the pale.

How would you like to have thousands of people pile on you and your business calling you a racist, based completely on lies, attacking you, your friends, and calling for your partners (Ranger, stampers anonymous, tonic to drop you). Could you be non-emotional reacting about it?

And the clique-y passive-agressive thing w/Tim, Jennifer, and the SSS crowd is a little "mean girl" for people who are constantly admonishing others to "be kind". There have been many times on the boards when peas have been unkind and/or untruthful about me. I say my peace and correct errors, then I just:

Which is why they can make mistakes in responding. You seem to put them on a pedestal and are oddly emotional, yourself, about this. Not victim bashing at all. What I'm saying goes for ANYONE who runs a business — not just Tim and his team. You should never respond to anything publicly emotionally. Period. I don't care if someone is coming after you, your business, or the reputation of either. By responding emotionally, you're continuing to infuse drama into the situation. I don't care if your company was in the right or wrong. Businesses, large and small, should have a crisis management plan to deal with things like this. You can't just REACT. Ha, I mean, you can just react. But you're making a mistake. Feel free to ask any PR or communications professional. I have no doubt they will find faults in the way they handled it. The IG graphic that was posted was, indeed, passive aggressive. P.S. The world is not black and white. You can sympathize with someone but still think they did something wrong.

Like I said I had let it go and chalked it all up to Lara being crazy until that post. No I probably wouldn’t be unemotional, but I would make every effort to not post a graphic that passive aggressively echoes the threat my business was accused of making. If I were as big a business as him I’d have my PR people chime in before I posted. Clearly you feel like being overly dramatic about my post. 🙄

No matter what Tim does he is going to have people still upset with him. If he is quiet he got called out. If he stands up for himself he gets called out. It is a no win situation for him. He clearly didn't start this whole incident, his character was attacked, his business was threatened and people were ready to jump on the Tim bashing train. The truth finally comes to light and those bashing him or those assuming him of awful things will continue. I am glad his friends are there for him and defending him. That's what true friendship is.
