It's odd isn't it! I think because it's such a full-on very specific experience rather than a more generic holiday/vacation people that who don't like Disney just can't picture themselves doing it. If one person said I'm going to Mexico but you preferred the Caribbean it wouldn't evoke such strong emotions because they're not that dissimilar. But it's so far removed from what we enjoy, and from how we would choose to spend our money or vacation time that it does prompt a strong feeling of almost disbelief Oh trust me, mention going to MX and you get plenty of people that want you to know they would never set a foot in there. Ok, bad example, I used that because I thought it’s somewhere more Americans are probably familiar with than if I’d said the Algarve or Crete.

Leigh Anne Tuohy posted her trip to DisneyWorld today on her Instagram stories. Which begs the question of whether Disney does a 'deal' with people like that to show others "hey, it's safe, look..." I wondered about this, too.

Please, for the sake of you and your loved ones, don't come to Florida any time soon. We have more cases daily than NY did at its peak, and we're not locked down. I presume you wouldn't have gone on vacation to NYC during their surge in Covid cases; please don't come here. If you're still unsure, please look at photos of Covid patients in ICUs. Read about the terrible illnesses people are having after surviving. No vacation is worth that. No vacation is worth dying for.

That never entered my mind but yep that would be a brilliant business move on Disney's part. The Disney company definitely has deals with various influencers to showcase their parks...or the new Star Wars land or Halloweentime or Food and Wine festival etc.

But she’s up front on social media about her motivation for being there, not like an influencer.

The have 200 new cases after none for a month. We probably have that many new cases in our little town. What will it take to shut down?

Nope for WDW. Nope for DL (even if it reopened which I don’t see happening) and no to Downtown Disney that is limited, but open for now...

We went in Feb... literally weeks before we even heard the word COVID-19. And we drank EmergenC, took vitamins and elderberry daily plus extensive hand washing then. Disney is a germy place on a good day. No way would I chance it now!!!

We’ve had more than 200 new cases in the last 14 days in a small rural county without half of our normal population because the university students haven’t come back My school district voted to go back to school with half the students there each day. One of the board members said they didn’t believe the virus was so bad when they voted.

As an annual passholder, I miss going to the park. Lots of time we'll just go for lunch, walk around, then leave. Maybe we'll ride a ride or two.
