Anyone else finding it challenging to get moving??? I am definitely struggling. I was thinking we could share our goals here and cheer for each other. If you want to check in daily to share what you did or later in the week is up to you. I just thought having some pea friends could help us all.
What do you want to accomplish this week? Share here each days progress or struggles.

Monday: I'm on a 10000 steps a day kick. 8841 so far today. When it cools down we will easily get the rest in a walk around two big blocks in the neighborhood. Edited to add the final count is 12,232.

Right now I am focusing on stretching and specific hip exercises I learned in PT for my screwed up knee.
Once my customized, made for me knee brace comes in and I can get my new walking shoes, I will start my goal of 5k steps with ultimate goal of 15k a day again.
Then I will get back into cycling.
I am also giving horse back riding lessons a try 😊 That will be good for my core

I just finished an 8 week Power Zone Challenge and was struggling with what to do next (well till the next challenge starts in 4 weeks). Matt Wilpers posted on his instagram that he is doing Training Camp for August (starting today) and has workout suggestions. My plan is to try to do everything he suggests over the next 4 weeks!

Ugh I’ve fallen off the running wagon and I feel gross. I’m still walking every day but I have to get back to running.
My goal is at least 5 miles per day and back to some nice 9+ mile runs a couple times per week.
Middle age is so hard and if I can just do some long runs it’s a million times better. I’m just in such a foggy lazy funk (I’m sure many of you can relate) it’s been hard to get out there

Thanks Kelly! Great idea!
I have been far too sedentary for too long. I have severe allergies and am very low energy for 4-6 months each year. That is lifting now and I started exercising much more regularly about three weeks ago.
My goal is to do some of the 8 Minutes in the Morning exercises at least 5 mornings a week, and then to walk either on my treadmill or outdoors. I'm also just starting to explore the Body Groove plan. Paid for a year subscription a few days ago.
Today I did 4 sets of squats, calf raises, bicep curls and dumbbell rows, and 3.4 miles on my treadmill. I walk at about 3.2 mph.

Well I just (finally!) got my spin bike I ordered in May so I've been doing peloton rides. I can't believe how much strength and endurance I've lost in the past 5 months, it's really distressing. My goal for this week is to get 5 rides in and to do my daily physio. I swear everytime I try to run or do anything, I pull something. So my list of physio exercises just gets longer and longer. Today I did spin, stretches and physio plus a walk. I have a stretch goal of doing some stretching and maybe a yoga class during the week to unload my stress, but we'll see.

Did a 2 mile walk today and hope to do the next level yoga video tonight at some point. Walking and yoga are my 2 goals for this week. The yoga feels so good after sewing most of the day and the fresh air while walking makes me feel so much better about the state of everything going on these days.

I'm so mentally tired after work, but my DH and I try to go for 10-20 min power walk and talk about everything relevant to the day to day struggle of kids covid and quarantine. It helps. And I think it has helped me lose some weight. Either that or the stress induced loss of appetite. Whatever, I will take it. I should do a few pushups or quick exercise Moments at work but don't. I feel under constant pressure at work for 10-11 hours...it's not good. Stretching feels good but does not have the payoff for me.
Weeding works my hamstrings and gets out my frustration so I do that too have to get out early on the weekend before the mosquitos and humidity. And I run once a week.

I really need to get up and do something, ANYTHING, so I appreciate this thread. It's 745 and I'm still working at my home office. I want to finish my current task, log out, and go for a walk even if it's with a mask on in the garage. I WILL come back to tell you all when I've accomplished that.

I'm a regular exerciser but hadn't worked out since last Monday because I was doing yard work all week and that was enough activity. Today was my first day back to my workout and I had to seriously push myself to get started. It's crazy how easy it is to get out of the habit. I usually work out 5 days a week for about 30-45 minutes. I know that if I push myself to get started in the morning for the next few days then I'll be back on track. So my goal is to get started on my workouts by 9:00 a.m. The longer I put it off throughout the day the less chance there is of it happening.

I finally bout a treadmill as I haven’t been able to swim due to Covid. I have been walk/ jogging a couple of miles a day. I’m hoping that will tide me over until I can get back in the pool.

I had personal training with Dh at our tiny gym today. Tomorrow and Thursday are yoga in the park and Friday will be another personal training day. I also try to get walks in, I need to work on consistency in my walks.

I've been walking 2-3 miles, 3 days a week. The reminder I need most is >> Don't buy snacks. Don't eat snacks. Specifically >> Don't buy ice cream.

Yes! I need motivation! I'm quarantining myself from the gym for a few weeks bc i have a few coworkers with strep, Covid, or both. I feel fine but I'm missing my personal trainer sessions.
It's very hot and humid so i can't make myself run, though I've been walking.
I have weights and DVDs at home and don't feel like doing anything with them. Gonna try an early morning run with the dog if i can make myself get up early on my day off...

Anyone else finding it challenging to get moving? Oh my god, yes! I've hit a wall of absolute exhaustion and I've no idea why, I know I'd feel better if I got moving but the sofa is so comfy.

Back in May, my blood sugar levels and my weight were both being very stubborn, so I decided to kick up my walking program. My aim at the moment is to walk for at least 30 minutes/2.5km, at least 5 days a week. Once I get to the point where I am not taking 30 minutes to walk that far, I plan to increase my distance appropriately.
So far this week, I am doing fine - I went out both yesterday and this morning. I was particularly good today - it is predicted to get to 30°C here this afternoon, so I did my walk at 7:30am, before I'd even had breakfast. There was a lovely breeze, that I know there won't be later. In the past, I would have put this off until the aftenoon then decided it was too hot, so I am pleased with my new attitude.
I see my doctor again next Monday, so we'll see if it has made a difference.

Good idea! I wish I could get back into a routine because I sure have gained some weight since covid-19. At the beginning I was trying to walk every day and not doing too badly at keeping myself moving...but then this heat wave arrived. I've tried to drag myself outside first thing in the morning but can't usually motivate myself. I'd rather sit with my coffee and browse the internet. My other problem is that I need new walking shoes. I've tried finding some from Zappos but they never fit right and then I have to return them which is a pain in the butt. So I really need to go to a shoe store and try them on. Which I'm afraid to do right now. grumble, grumble, excuses, excuses....

I've been struggling a little bit as well. Having a hard time waking up in the morning. I started using the Peloton app in mid December and originally was doing about 4-5 rides (on my elliptical) per week. In April I added in Peloton strength workouts and started using the elliptical most days. In May I also walked most days for about 45-60min. I also started rotating Barre3 online workouts with the Peloton strength. In June I started working outside of the home again and July the kids started baseball. I have still been closing my rings daily and doing my workouts but have not been walking much except to and from the ball field.
I have closed my rings on my apple watch every day since May 22, so my goal is to continue to do that. I am also in an apple watch challenge so that keeps me motivated. Doing the Pelothon week three, which is working out with Peloton 5 times this week. I've been just doing what I feel like but this week I want to be more mindful about which strength workouts I am doing (Peloton vs barre 3).
Yesterday I did 30 min on the elliptical (so day one of Peloton week 3) and 30 min Barre 3. I ended the day with about 6500 steps.
I am getting ready to workout now. I don't have as much time to exercise/wake up as I sometimes do. I am still really tired and I think I will do a 30min Barre 3 cardio and then a Peloton lower body strength.
Does anyone have tips for waking up and feeling ready to exercise more quickly?

I’ve been slowly attempting to work out since June. I am not good at getting it done every day — too many headaches or there’s just no room or space when we go to the trailer. But even my 2-3 days a week are showing a noticeable improvement. I have super sad/cute little arm muscles now!
I have been doing the 21 day fix work outs. At first I was so weak it was really discouragig but it really is inspiring and motivating when I can recognize I’m makijg gains — more reps, greater movement, etc.
I do love feeling strong!!

I need to get back on track too. I was doing really well in May and early June, exercising daily, but then came summer.
I have this week vacation left and I'm trying to do something everyday. That way I can hopefully continue as work starts again. Yesterday I walked for an hour and now I'm thinking of doing of some Youtube cardio videos.

The heat is getting to me. I started running after stopping in February and I’m up to about 40 minutes with run 9 min walk 1 intervals but it’s over 90 and I could only do three today. I need to get myself out of bed in the morning and get it done before work.
***I got three runs and a long walk in

I have a pilates machine in my room that I try to use every day to help my arthritic knees. I also walk around the property a few times a day. When I lived at my house, I did one long walk in the morning and one in the early evening. Since moving here, I haven't been doing as much. The property is only 2.5 acres, and I'd have to go around the property several times a day to equal the walks I used to take. I usually go about 3 times--. My son has a stationary bike in the garage I should try out. I got rid of my bike when my husband died because I didn't have anyone to ride with, so if I fell over, I'd probably get run over!! I do have to do more before I can't! Good luck ladies!!
One day last week when I was at my house cleaning up the floors, I had my telephone in my pocket, and that day I walked over 12,000 steps--but here I always forget to take it with me! I should have tried today--I went shopping!

I'm checking in to say that I DID go for a walk last night at 830; I really appreciate the basement level garage. Today, I did a ten minute lower body workout (lots of squats).
