My card today is the result of playing a "Mystery Card" challenge with a group of friends. We just provided with a list of supplies to gather without having any idea what the finished card would look like. We were then provided a series of clues for assembling the card. It was so much fun!! I actually love how my card turned out which is just an added bonus. LOL As always, full details are on my blog. That’s a cool idea! Maybe we need to try something like that for CardTober... the card is beautiful I love the colors.

Popping in before work to share that yes, I actually managed to scrap this week! Being excited about Vicki Boutin's new release, I thought I'd better use some of her last release in order to justify pre-ordering her new stuff (Haven't yet...deciding...) I loved what came out! This LO is for a photography challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to take a panoramic photo. I ended up taking similar photos to ones I've taken many times before, because we're not allowed to go further than 5km from home at the moment, so my options were limited. I used the Springboard No. 14 template by Lynn Grieveson, papers and elements from the 'Blue Skies Ahead', 'Tastes Like Summer', and 'Cool Breeze kits, also by Lynn Grieveson.

Ryann, Hooray for A/C. We had 11 days in a row of 100 degrees or higher. I thought of you through that time. So glad you got it fixed. I'm sure you are more comfortable. You really have got your crafty mojo back. I love your pages! I love the background on your Snow page. That would feel good right now. Your clusters on Easter Loot are amazing. You used all those pieces so well. Perfect Spring embellishments. I love that you have documented new haircut, new readers, and new mustache. Well done! My favorite is the Crafty Play Day. It looks like such fun. How I miss those get togethers during this time of Covid. That's a beautiful floral bouquet. You have really been busy and it's fun to see your projects. Thanks for sharing.

My heart goes out to you, Ryann! I live up in Orange County and would go crazy without A/C. At least it's not been *quite* as hot as normal this summer.

Ryann, these pages are WONDERFUL!!! I love that they are all so different, yet all show the hand of a master page designer! Great arrangement of elements, awesome colour and pattern choices, super layering, marvelous clusters of all types! Hope that once you have cooled off with your new AC unit that you will be able to add some more to this collection over this weekend.

Since I still had all the supplies out on my craft desk from the Mystery Card challenge I posted about yesterday, I decided I might as well just use them again to make another card. I just can't get enough of these gorgeous foliage images in this stamp set! You know the drill by now, full details are on the blog.

Yay, I finally got all of my challenges done at The Lilypad! This one is for the Inspiration Challenge. We had to take inspiration from a quote: Life is like a Camera. Focus on what's important & capture the good times. Develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot.I used the 'Candid' and the 'At Week's End' kits by One Little Bird.

This LO is for a Kim Jensen template challenge at The Lilypad. Template by Melinda Staley, 'Vibrant' kit by Kim Jensen. This was quite a difficult challenge for me, as it's not a template I would normally choose to use. I will be stealing this template idea!! Love it!

Last LO of the month! I can't believe it's almost Sept. We were supposed to be in Maui in a couple weeks. I decided just to play today. Shimelle did a FB Live on Monday where she used mostly stickers from a sheet in order to use them up, and no patterned paper. I found a bag of die cut embellishments that I’m not sure I’d ever really use, so I broke out the stuff and went to town! The only patterned paper I used is the background that is mostly white, but has little plus signs and the black and white stripe on it, and the two colored strips and the black and white dots at the top. It just needed a touch of color on top and bottom. I also used distress oxides and the “kissing” technique. The photo is a bit wonky because the water warped it a tad.

Wow, @kikkipea! Beautiful page! Love the “kissed” background and how you used the diecuts. I have about a ton of them—maybe literally a ton —so maybe this is something I should try. Don’t think my attempt will look as artsy as yours, though!

a little more love as I try to get caught up! @coffecrafter All of your cards are so beautiful! Such awesome work! And I love that little box. It’s so cute! That web border is so cool looking. KikiPea - My favorite view might be my favorite LO of yours! I love all those strips and the colors are so perfect. And I love the journaling on Happy Tails. teacherlisa I absolutely love these pages! I have always liked the way and things you document and that you add such heartfelt journaling. I like seeing ways to use PL cards that don’t include pocket pages, I need ideas like that! I've been leaving love in the gallery for those that post there!

Last two LO's (four pages) for me this month! Had put together some quick little page kits. And then finished the pages during joyfulnana 's Hangout session today. This one started with yesterday's Sketchy Saturday. Thanks, LisaDV ! Time with Cousins by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And this came to gether fairly easily after I got the fussy cutting and squaring off the alignment figured out. Had fun playing with the last VB papers in a kit from last summer. (I wanted that flower paper to be for something special. This is as special as it gets--and to my surprise the colours worked perfectly!)
POINTS: four pages created & shared (8). #1 Sketchy Saturday (1) and four pages (20) and 13 photos (13) for the Donna challenge, #4 all pages about August 2020 (8), #6 <3 brands on each page (8), #9 <25 words journaling per LO (2), #13 & 14 (8),#16 bright colours (3), #17 my summer album (4), #20 5x7 photos (2), #24 smiling (4), #29 VB kit and Lss kit (4), 331 fussy cutting (1), #32 torn edges (1), #33 inking (4), #34 flat letter & phrase stickers and puffy heart sticker on first (2) and foam letter stickers and flat letter stickers (2) on the other, #35 got a clock on one page (1), #40 two generations on each of two pages (2), #41 great outdoors (4), #47 arrows (2), #49 water (1). Total: 105

Sorry, I’m very behind on looking at everyone’s posts and commenting. I finished a couple of pages this weekend. This one is a few random stories and some questions about back to school journaling. Aug virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr This page started out with a story about going to the farmer’s market and then I added more general journaling about social distancing. I was very happy I had that measuring tape washi! The right side feels a bit unfinished but I’m not sure what it needs. Aug virus diaries by jo.blackford, on Flickr I’m working on one more spread, hope to share at least one side tomorrow.

KikiPea, I love that background on your page. I don't think I know the "kissing" technique, but it was perfect for this layout. grammadee, AussieMeg, joblackford, and azcrafty, I left love on your projects in the gallery.

nylene i don't know how to answer your questions in Flickr. So here they are: The rose it's a stamp from a Paper Pumpkin kit and I fussy cut it. The yellowish green background it came that way. And yes I love that little starburts stamp and that one too came in a PP kit. The washi tape idea it was a direction in the PP kit , but kellyr21 has a great YT video with directions to use it in scrapbooking. Thank you for all the love!!!

azcrafty, these cards are so beautiful. Thanks for the info about your other cards. I love what you were able to make with them. I got 2 Paper Pumpkin kits as prizes and they didn't make anything as beautiful as these. I didn't subscribe because I wasn't that impressed. Yours, however are fabulous. I may look into that again!

KikiPea, I love that background on your page. I don't think I know the "kissing" technique, but it was perfect for this layout. [/br][/quote] Thanks! The “kissing” technique, also called smooshing, is where you take a distress oxide, distress ink, art crayon...put it on a piece of flexible plastic and add water to it. You then take the plastic and turn it over, lightly “kissing” you paper with the medium.
