Another one from me today. 5 pages for homecoming seems like a lot to me, but she missed it freshman year due to a prior commitment and who knows what junior homecoming will be like this fall. I’m honestly feeling a little sad today remembering how fun all this was last year.

The white paper is a place holder for a 4x6 “after” shot of DD’s room redo. Gotta wait until she cleans up😂. The big flowers are cut from the curtains from her “little girl” room. The floral background is from the fabric she used to recover the desk chair.

I didn't get around to posting yesterday, so I have two cards to share today. The first is a masculine card that was posted on my blog yesterday. I stamped the coffee cup image from the Press On stamp set then did some simple coloring with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. The second card was posted on my blog today. I created it using the Forever Fern bundle.

Here's my card for today. I'm not sure what the actual technique is called, so I'm calling it a split circle card. Full details are on my blog. I love this a lot! So much, in fact, that I had to copy it on a layout! I turned the split circles into the title.

I spent some time today organizing my patterned papers. I use Cropper Hopper sleeves for my 12x12" papers, but struggled with finding a solution for my 6x6" papers. I think I've finally come up with a solution that will work for me! I took some of the large vinyl stamp pockets and cut them down to 7" tall. Since they're 6¾" wide, they work perfectly for 6x6" paper. I used some heavyweight white cardstock to create a backing inside the pocket. I cut it at 6x7" and then glued the label from the paper packaging on it as an identifier. While I had the large stamp pockets out, I also discovered they are the perfect size for holding the consumables from my Paper Pumpkin kits. Doing this takes up sooooo much less space than storing in the Pumpkin boxes which is what I've done up to this point. While I was going through all of my unstarted Paper Pumpkin kits, a couple of them caught me eye. I decided today was as good a day as any to put them together, so I spent about an hour putting the together and ended up with 16 completed cards. This kit was from August 2017. This kit was from June 2020. There were loads of leftovers in this kit after I assembled the cards, so I'll be able to get even more cards from it. Yay! I hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to fit in a bit of crafting time. Can't wait to see what you all created!

I ended up creating one more make late this afternoon. I created this cute little cube gift box. I have no idea how to count it for the challenge though. Since it's pretty small (3" cube), I'm thinking of just counting it the same as an easy peasy card. Does that seem reasonable, grammadee ?

This LO is for a style challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to use a black and white photo and black and white papers/elements with one other colour. I used papers and elements from the following kits: Kiss Kiss, Yesterday, Dinomite, My Happy Place and December Stories by Becca Bonneville, Daily Life, Enjoy The Ride and glimmer styles by Mommyish, Summer Vibes and Bunny Trail by Bella Gypsy, Bombay Crush Artsy Page Overlay by NBK Designs.

I don't usually make Halloween cards, but this cobweb border stamp was just too cute to pass up. Details for both cards are on my blog. I also posted my first process video on my YouTube channel showing how I created the bottom card.

CoffeeCrafter, your “cookies” card is really cute. I love the angled paper. I need to learn to do that. I always end up going back to straighten it. I love the twine you added too. ~I love your inking/coloring around the outside of the cup on your Perk card. That really makes the cup stand out.~I love those ferns, both the stamp and especially the die cuts. Beautiful card.~ Your paper pumpkin cards are very pretty. I’m glad to know you are a Stampin Up rep. Mine just stopped as of the quarantines.~ As much as I hate spiders, your spider and webs card is totally cute. KikiPea, I love the torn papers as your background. I love the use of the blue paper that makes the water in your photo stand out. Beautiful page. schroema, what a fun way to document Homecoming for her. I love the title and love seeing all of her choices. This is the best idea to preserve the fun of fancy dress shopping. Her choice is gorgeous! Her hair styles are very pretty. That long beautiful hair would be gorgeous in any style. Great pages.~ I would love to see an “after” view of her redecorated room. I loved helping my DD’s redecorate. I’m sure this has been fun. I love that you included an actual part of her curtains on the page. grammadee, joblackford and AussieMeg, you have love in the gallery. I think I am caught up to here.

I made six card today, but I can't share them yet. They're for the September SheetLoad of Cards. I guess I'll just take the "make" points and skip the "share" points.

nylene I need to jump in the pool with little Swayzee! That looks so refreshing. It's stinking hot here, way too hot for the PNW (102 yesterday, 90-ish today, no AC). What I wouldn't do to jump in a pool...

schroema - way to go finishing up the homecoming pages! I love how you arranged pictures of all the girls. Hannah's hair looked beautiful and I am glad she was able to enjoy all the festivities. Five pages isn't too many...there's lots of story to tell. I have a 5 page stint of a trip to the mall with my sister, niece & nephew..Ha! I love how you included the flowers from your daughter's old room. joblackford - OMG! Those cards are gorgeous! Your weather is crazy It was like that here about 10 days ago and it's just miserable. I hope it breaks soon. CoffeeCrafter - as always, your cards are lovely! I am glad you were able to figure out a storage solution for your 6x6 papers. Those paper pumpkin cards are cute!!! AussieMeg - I love everything about your hello summer page! I am "stealing" that split circle idea too. heehee Your Sweetness page is just beautiful! nylene - I love the colors and patterns of your cards and the title work on the pool fun layout is outstanding! KikiPea - your mix of papers is perfection on the "my favorite view" page. The puppy cafe is so cute.

Time to leave some love!
CoffeeCrafter , your cards are all amazing! I love the sentiment on the Eat Cookies card on page 3. But so many details make the card special: the scalloped circle; the tilted, matted rectangle; the twine... Each of your cards is a work of art!
Moving on to page 4:
CoffeeCrafter, that Perks card is perfect: cute, punny, and perfectly coloured (love the shadows around the cup). The Hello card is a nice blend of stamping and die cut clusters, and such pretty soft colours. Those kit cards are really striking. Love the bold golds and oranges on the August kit cards, and the watercolour swirls on the June ones. That gift box is really cute. I think your idea for scoring it is probably accurate for the area you decorated. Oh, and ITA: those cobweb borders are way too CUTE!!!
schroema, I love your homecoming pages. And I get how you feel scrapping them now when no one really knows when or if these traditions will continue. I love the greens you used on the two-pagers, and how you balanced the pic's with the blocks of pp with embellishments. I love the Smile one--so cool to document the transformation to event-ready! And what a neat idea to include the actual fabrics of the then and now of your dd's new room!
KikiPea, that first page--with the pp strips with inked torn edges--is to die for! Such a gorgeous effect, especially with your signature clustering. And I love the story on Happy Tails. Great layering, wonderful warm colours, too, and I like that you included the logo of the treat store.
Whew! I just need to catch joblackford on Flickr, and then I think I am caught up...
