KikiPea - you've been busy already! Looking forward to seeing them AussieMeg - what a cutie! I love the simplicity of that layout yet there's still so many details CoffeeCrafter - beautiful cards - the Christmas one made me laugh - that would be perfect for my husband who usually buys his own gift and I wrap it for him.

Gorgeous cards, CoffeeCrafter! Love how they are each so unique. I really want to lift that first one. What dies & embossing folders did you use? Thanks! I just used some basic nested circle dies for the die cutting. I don't think the embossing folder is available anymore. I've had it for years. It's an old Anna Griffin folder for Cuttlebug called Snow Flurry.

I have another card on my blog today. It's a super clean and simple holiday card I created using a border stencil from LDRS Creative. The sentiment is from Concord & 9th. For anyone wondering about the watermark, I'm on the Design Team for the AAA Cards Clean and Simple Challenges blog.

KikiPea, those are DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! So glad they are showing up larger, so I can look at every little detail. CoffeeCrafter, that is a very striking CAS card. I always tend to try to add too much. I need to remember that LESS is often MORE... Thanks for the details on what you used to create your cards. I don't have alot of creative ideas of my own, but love to run with a lift!

I don't have alot of creative ideas of my own, but love to run with a lift! I definitely lean toward CAS cards, although I do layer things up occasionally. Even my layered up cards seem to be clean and layered though. I love a good lift as well, so feel free to lift from me any time you like.

Oh wow, we all jumped right into August, didn't we?! I had some half-started virus diaries pages that I finally journaled all over yesterday. I'm trying to loosen up with vol.2 but we'll see if that works... Here's the cover page - I just went for it, immediately hated some bits and covered them up, now it's OK. Vol.2 was supposed to start at the beginning of July but it was the beginning of August when I wrote the journaling, so it's still somewhat retrospective - everything ends up that way with things changing every day here. Aug virus pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr Early July page, local photos, some Internet stuff (Amplifier.org is a great source for protest and mask artwork), and 4th of July (the photo is blurred IRL - I haven't decided whether to explain that or leave it artsy). Actually using stickers! Aug virus pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr Home goings-on in July. I stamped directly on the page, wasn't thrilled with some bits, decided it didn't matter, added more. Aug virus pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr Free food page with Shimelle Never Grow Up snail, who I love, especially once I added a tiny watercolor shadow. I even found some hearts I'd punched from oxide-inked scraps that match the purple quite nicely. Aug virus pages by jo.blackford, on Flickr BTW I swear I didn't plant carrots because I heard they don't do well here. I don't know how the carrots got into my garden! I was so surprised when I pulled the first one up. Is my memory going? Where did they come from?? Planning to continue this with a looser style - not necessarily layouts/spreads, but just a jumble of pictures and words. That means I need to stay caught up because hindsight leads to summary and that leads to my perfectionism... wish me luck!

CoffeeCrafter so lovely to see your cards! That poinsettia one has a lot of depth - it almost feels like looking through a porthole to the flower, and I like the partial view - I have a stamp I might be able to try that with. Love the pretty papers you used for your sheetload cards - the colors are delicious. The Christmas cards are great too - I had a lot of fun with those CTMH papers and the ho ho ho strip especially, and I like the sentiment, lol. The clean and simple holly border stencil is very pretty. I love the sentiment font. It's hard to do so little on a card front and have it look good! Your soul food card gave me a smile. Great coloring. KikiPea you always make me want to go to Telluride (even though I'm not certain I know where that is) and you also make me want to buy ALL the fall embellishments. Your clusters are so gorgeous. I could also use some big puppy cuddles and little boy cuddles after looking at your pages. AussieMeg and grammadee I left love in the gallery

AussieMeg and grammadee I left love in the gallery Oooh Telluride is beautiful!!! It’s in the SW corner of Colorado. Those mountains are calling. You must go! LOL Thank you! I’m having fun with those pages, but have spent a lot of money of those leaves. 🤪 That boy, and that dog would LOVE some cuddles!

I got craftsy in my bullet journal. This page was an index set up I didn't need so I printed some dot grid paper and covered it up to make a forward planning page. I was inspired by some recent pages by momruncraft on IG. It turned out ok, and I used a couple of stamps I had never opened, so that's a win. I covered up all our birthdays and plans (pft! not many plans) for privacy. Aug planner page by jo.blackford, on Flickr

AussieMeg - such cute pics and great work with the sketch!! CoffeeCrafter - gorgeous cards, I especially love the Christmas one. LOL The sesason's greetings card is so elegant and your copic coloring is beautiful. Super cool birthday card!! and thanks for the tip about paper weight. grammadee - really great layout! I love how you backed the cut file. KikiPea - your layouts! I LOVE the colors, design, embellishing...just everything. joblackford - that's really weird about the carrot. Ha! But nice work on your virus diaries. It's interesting that it covers different things you're doing right now, not just related directly to the virus. I like how you adapted the index page for your bullet journal and using new stamps. schroema - I like how you carried over the sketch on the birthday pages. Nice progress on the the yellowstone pictures. The diagonal blocking adds a lot of interest.

that's really weird about the carrot. Ha! But nice work on your virus diaries. It's interesting that it covers different things you're doing right now, not just related directly to the virus. Oh, and that was just one of the carrots! I have pulled several, and I think I have some more that might be a decent size. ETA I was SO suprised when I pulled the weed and found the first carrot. I thought the weed looked familiar but... They're pretty gnarly - one 3 legged one made my husband's inner-14-yo-boy chuckle a great deal... They're small but when I peel them they smell SO strongly of carrot, it's quite remarkable. I think I might try planting them again for real. I guess all of life is virus-related now, so even if the link is not really obvious, all of the photos I add have something to do with the virus in my mind. I know some people like Layle Koncar are just adding lists of fav. foods or whatever they think of to their books, but mine is a little more tightly focused than that. But it's not all doom and gloom - I want it to reflect the good stuff and the personal stuff as well.

I am helping my grandson sew masks, but wanted to get this posted. Will be back later to enjoy your creations. This is my first attempt to paint flowers as shown by kellyr21. They were fun to do and I know I will do this again. Thanks, kellyr21! Little Miss

nylene I love that polka dot background and those flowers! 😍 joblackford I haven’t done a separate virus project, but I am really struggling with how to scrap life now. Everything is virus related! I’m so far behind I’m just focusing on scrapping what I’m inspired to and worry about 2020 in a few years.
