About the 2nd peace deal “brokered” by trump & company
Brian Tyler Cohen...
”I can't get over the entire Trump team thinks that a peace agreement between countries that have never been at war means that they've achieved peace in the Middle East.“
”What's next? Peace between the US and Canada?”
I think he has a point.

You are missing the point that there is a difference between a scripted speech and scripted questions and answers. You mean like when an OAN reporter lobs Trump a pre-scripted question and he answers it vs. when other reporters ask him un-scripted questions and he insults the reporter (usually calling her/him something like “nasty”) and then storms off the stage when said reporter doesn’t back down? So you agree that pre-scripted questions and answers are wrong.

I will definitely be voting for Trump. I can’t stand the hypocrisy of the left, the blind eye to the riots and destruction Under the ruse of protesting (which it absolutely is not, it’s sickening) and the fact that the left is exploiting that poor man, Biden, who is obviously mentally incapacitated.
I am also disgusted with the bullying of this board to ANYONE who doesn’t fit the lefts criteria or views. But you know, the left on this board totally fits the left’s agenda. If you don’t agree with their views, you are demonized, called disgusting and bullied off. No one is allowed their own views without being lambasted. Exactly what the left wants. Total control over your thinking. Sounds like socialism or worse, communism.
I have not participated on this board for a long long time. But I do come here sometimes for the entertainment value.

No, I think that throwing temper tantrums, hurling insults from the Presidential Podium, and then storming offstage during a White House Press Briefing as President of the USA addressing the nation is wrong. Within certain contexts, I am fine with pre-scripted questions and answers. It is one way of demonstrating where a candidate stands on certain issues important to the election. In fact, Trump’s most effective and coherent speeches are when he actually sticks to pre-scripted speeches and the teleprompter. I wish he would do it more often. It is amusingly laughable how clear it is to anyone not drinking the kool-aid when Trump strays from the teleprompter and decides to ad-lib during those rare speeches that he tries to stay on-script. The acting like toddler who needs a nap when confronted with tough questions by the press is something that the right is happy to ignore in Trump (who does this not while campaigning, but in his role of President of the USA) while trying to play “gotcha” with Biden with his campaign appearances. That is something else I have an issue with.

OMG, there's a difference between reading a scripted, planned speech from a teleprompter and getting questions ahead of time with planned out answers.
It's obvious Biden's staying away from random questions. Yesterday he comes out when Trump's in California to accuse him of being a climate arsonist and leaves without answering any questions. He's challenged people to push up contests when they say something he doesn't like, he calls his own supporter a lying dog faced pony soldier, he asks an interviewer if he uses cocaine when asked a question he doesn't like, etc. It's clear he's intentionally staying away from on the spot, unscripted, surprise questions. It's 50 some days before the election and he WILL NOT answer questions.
People might not want to hear what Trump has to say, but the man does not stop talking. He answers questions all of the time. Biden won't. Maybe that will work in Biden's favor, who knows. But come on now, it's obvious he's being kept away from reporters and actual tough questions.

I’m going to allow myself one question per day. [insert peppy “Question of the Day” jingle, female voices, SSA harmony]Ahem. How does one answer questions using a teleprompter? I am Tuesday perplexed. Because of what one of the reports said about not wanting to ask a question that she was given, the speculation is that the questions are scripted and the answers are on the teleprompter. That's not what she said. She said she was told to "go off this paper." There is no statement that she was given the question. It is NOT unusual for event organizers to pre-screen questions when you have a large number of people who want to ask questions and limited time. Otherwise, you end up with a line of 50 people with 40 of them asking a variation of the same question. Asking participants to write down the questions they want to ask and approving it before the event is a way to make sure as many different questions are answered as possible. If you ever had to sit through a Q&A session at a school board meeting, you would understand. And event organizers don't wan their event to be an embarrassment. I am pretty sure in this case, if someone had written a QAnon question about what Biden was going to do to prosecute Hilary, that person would never get to the podium because the question is a distraction meant to cause a disruption. That isn't helpful for the people who are there to discuss the real issues. And no, the QAnon conspiracy is NOT a real issue, no matter how many right-wing nutjobs try to make it one. What I find most interesting about this clip is the brevity. Was this supposed to show that Joe had pre-scripted questions? Then why not show the actual question and his answer. I mean, if this proves the point, how did he answer it? youtu.be/kRcE8I-cI18Here is the more complete clip, and she gives an almost-5-minute statement about the protests/rights/black lives matter. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kt4F9Z3RcPUAnd here is a clip of Joe from the same event. Does this look like he is reading off a teleprompter? LOL, conservatives just can't stand that Joe at 77 is more presidential than trump will ever be. And no amount of trying to paint him as an out-of-touch, feeble, washed-up politician will change that fact. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvgcUN4GU0U

This thread started with the question to Trump supporters asking WHAT Trump has done to inspire his support.
After ten pages there have been two responses, the first a long list that had circulated on Facebook, that was fact checked in detail to counter the list and a statement from one pea that essentially said 'it's all about me and my family'.
There has yet to be a pea that could list, and support reasons to support Trump that would provide reasonable discussion. There have been many Trump supporters who feel the need to only point out Biden's shortcomings as a reason to support Trump.
I don't think any Biden supporter has said "I'm all in for Biden. He is the second coming'. Rather we are getting on the bus to take us closer to the United States that we envision, one that includes all people, and all views, and offers dignity and respect for all Americans. A candidate that respects the rule of law, and the Constitution and has concern and compassion for his fellow Americans. That candidate is a distinct contrast to the lying, sexist buffoon currently in office.
"total control over your thinking" is a technique used by the wannabe dictator currently holding the Presidency.
Just as Trump is a one trick pony for a President shouting 'Look at the Stock Market' as a reason to vote for him, there are just as many arguments against his actions. Trump's handling of the Covid situation, his stance on immigration, climate change, foreign relations, his disrespect of the Constitution and his divisive rhetoric are all arguments against him.

Try that hat on for size. It’s so yesterday, lame AF, and old that you trumpers/republicans keep whining and crying about the same damn thing, and you’re a bunch of hypocrites. The amount of hatred that is being sowed from the right far outweighs us liberals not agreeing with you on a message board. Stop blaming Democrats for your problems, your whining snowflake butt hurt feelings and cry a river to your potus. You have some gall trying to lay blame on “those liberals are mean to me” WHEN THE ASSHOLE YOU’RE VOTING FOR HEAPS IT ON US EVERY GOD DAMNED DAY, holds rallies and whips his supporters in a frenzy disparaging anyone who doesn’t buy into his bullshit bag of lies, attacks Democrats on the daily, his administration withholds disaster assistance to blue states/blue governors/blue mayors, and takes to the airwaves and social media snd does it all over again DAILY. As an Australian I am terrified of this man being reelected. I feel it's only the Covid disaster that has prevented him from causing a war with the damage he has done to relationships with other countries. I'm angry that he is basically speaking for me and my country as allies of the United States. I wish the rest of the world could step up and see something done about it.

FYI: I was perplexed by this claim upthread: “ You are being willfully ignorant if you don't understand that Biden will be nothing more than a puppet-president for the extreme left. He can't even answer questions without a teleprompter telling him what to say.” Are there are other controlled, woefully uninformed and inarticulate Democrats running around whose intellects President Trump eclipses? And now I’ve used up all my questions through Saturday.

I don't expect to change your mind. And I did paraphrase or summarize your reason to support Trump. But essentially your reason is only that it protects your own bubble. It may effect a huge population, but so has Covid, and so has climate change. The West is on fire, and there is a hurricane threatening some Southern states, and that many people have lost family, jobs, and economic stability due to Trump's inaction. That effects a huge population also. And I note that you chose to call me "nasty" twice, (a favorite response of Trump's when he is challenged). Apparently critical thinking skills are out the door, and "total control of your thinking' has been accomplished.

Biden, who wants to be president, will NOT answer any unscripted questions. Why is that you suppose? I've watched him answer questions multiple times after a speech. Maybe the channels you watch don't show those cuz it doesn't fit their agenda.

I’m confused why the fact that he won’t stop talking is seen as a good thing? There are many times when he should absolutely shut up. Because he clearly has no idea what he’s talking about.

Not disagreeing. Biden, who wants to be president, will NOT answer any unscripted questions. Why is that you suppose? Proof? Other than that one instance that can be interpreted several ways? What other instances? Proof? Watch his appearances, and watch him walk away without answering any questions-it's not hard to find. I'm not going to search thru YouTube for links. If you haven't seen him do that repeatedly then you aren't watching.
