Yes, it surprises me how many don't just stop and read the entire clue. Haste makes waste.

This episode really was making me mad. Why would you collect all that food and accessories to leave on the table? Stop and think... AR never has you collect all that to just leave. And it is clearly on the clue. Uggggg lol It was fun to watch though

Technology has taken over and people simply don't "THINK" or read but don't comprehend what they just read. Pro-active thinking and anticipating in what should be happening is severely lacking with many of the players. A good example is not saving the by-product (was it juice) in the cooking activity.

I felt so bad for the father son team being eliminated, I really liked watching them together. That said - ya read your damn clue. But I didn't quite understand why those 2 girls felt the need to uturn them while I did understand why the 2 guys uturned the nerd couple

Thank you, I am almost done with season 1 again. It is funny how different the production is, but Team Guido are still a pair of asses. I am really enjoying it! Thanks to you I've started back with season 1. I'd totally forgotten who wins but I googled. lol. Some of those teams are SO ANNOYING. omg I've become so used to being able to binge shows that waiting for a weekly show for the new season is torture. lol. So now I can watch the past seasons while I'm waiting. As for the new season.... We would assume that these teams have watched at least a few past seasons of Amazing Race, no? And yet all those teams did not read the clue! Read the darn clue. It should be #1 on the list that they should have made for themselves back home while they were "reviewing" and preparing to run the race.

Those seasons are so long ago I mostly forgot who won too. Even knowing who wins or at least gets to the end they are still fun to watch. Season 2 had a nail biter of an ending. I felt sad that the father son team lost too, and totally did not see the value of u turning them.

In fact, I like knowing who wins because I watch them especially closely during each episode just to see how they work together and approach problems. lol

But I didn't quite understand why those 2 girls felt the need to uturn them while I did understand why the 2 guys uturned the nerd couple The two blonde girls were trying to pay back a favor that the nerd team did for them during the truck challenge. In the truck challenge the nerd team helped the two blonde girls by pointing out about the horn so they could complete the challenge. If the nerd team hadn't helped the blonde girls team by doing that it would have meant that the blonde girls would have been at the truck challenge much longer. So the blonde girls knew they owned the nerd team a favor. They figured since they saw that the nerd team were U-turned on the board, they'd repay that favor by U-turning another team (they chose a team who was behind them-father and son) so that the nerd team would have a chance to catch up a bit and not be last.

On this episode I too was amazed as to how many teams just left their bags of groceries and items just laying on the table and ran for the boats. As you all have said, "Read your clues!" It's the number one rule of the race. The dating guys did read their clue. They took their groceries with them to the boat and then wisely decided to check through all of their items before they told the boatman to leave. That's when they discovered a couple of items missing and went back for them. I think that's one of the reasons they won.
I thought of another great thing to know before you run this race, besides knowing how to swim and how to drive a stick shift. Knowing Spanish really helps. There are so many countries that speak Spanish or some derivative of it.
I don't really like an entire group of 5 teams helping each other out (that's a lot) but it's still early in the race and hopefully that will dwindle down to an alliance of fewer teams. It's more fun to watch when it's a smaller alliance. When almost half the entire group are all helping each other out it isn't as much fun to watch in my opinion.

But I didn't quite understand why those 2 girls felt the need to uturn them while I did understand why the 2 guys uturned the nerd couple I think it was a huge mistake for the guys to U-turn anyone at this point and especially knowing a second team could be U-turned. The girls even said they were doing it hoping to save Leo and Alana, who helped them big time in the previous leg by telling them to hook up the horn when decorating the trucks. They needed to keep their allies in the game. I hope all teams have learned to read, reread and read again the clues. Anyone else disappointed that they didn't have to learn how to use the blow dart and drop their own clues? We are really enjoying all the teams this year and don't have a favorite yet.

I thought for sure they were going to have to learn how to use the blow dart and get their own clues. We've seen this lots of times in the past. But to just have the tribal person do it for them? What a let down and a waste of a good challenge. I noticed it and did feel let down.

That would make a realllly long season of AR.. HAHA

Paraguay has been a real challenge for all the teams, going to a junkyard, making drinks and either setting up watermelons or dancing with a wine bottle on their head. First teams stays first and this is a non-elimination round. OFF to Paris

We aren't going to watch last night's episode until DS comes up on Saturday but I noticed our DVR didn't record it. I look OnDemand and it looks like there is an episode for last night. DS just texted me and said his DVR didn't record it either.
Did anyone get to watch it last night?

I checked my guide on my DirectTV and it didn’t say that it was a repeat or anything. And I wouldn’t have noticed it except that I was changing the channels to watch Chicago med and there it was. Pretty sure you can probably watch it on demand

Pretty sure you can probably watch it on demand Oh yeah, I've already checked. There was supposed to be two episodes on in a row last week, but they decided last minute to move the second episode to this week. They moved SWAT up to the 9:00 time slot and then had election coverage at 10:00. I'm guessing they weren't going to have an episode this week originally, but changed it up.

Interesting because last week we wondered why we only had one show recorded. The other one was OnDemand so we watched two shows. So there is this week's show OnDemand but I'm guessing most people won't realize they can watch it. Screwy!

once again, if you thought you were going to be on amazing race, I would go out and practice stick shift driving til I had it down to the t.. maybe they should add a challenge of driving on the other side of the road (like england) and park on the "wrong side".. that is tough.. but I have driven stick shift all my life.. can't believe they got stuck in parking garage.

I always watch it on the CBS website on Thursday or Friday. I enjoyed this episode. I love the great attitude of "the blonde girls."

I was happy to see those sisters eliminated... the main 1 was a real bitch... didnt like her...
I also dont like the nerds... to much of the stereotype they put on themselves.. its annoying... like there is more to both of yall then just nerd... but they are riding that train to the end..
Im also flustered by the Indian brother n sister... they both sorta suck in whatever challenge they take on...
I like Riley and Madison... i hope the alliance doesn't bring them harm as the race goes on.. same with Chee and Hung...
The rest Im fine or indifferent about...

Found this thread on page 3! lol... It seems like maybe fewer people are watching... ? Anyway, I always watch it on the CBS website (for free, not the All Access thing) so I'm always behind. lol -- I've also discovered all the old seasons on Hulu so I've been binge watching those. I'm on season 7 now (I skipped the last half of season 6 because I couldn't stand the team who won)... I alway check who won before I start so I can watch them throughout the season. One thing I've noticed is that these earlier seasons had some seriously awful people... rude to their partners, rude to the local people -- some real Ugly Americans. ugh. I'm going to be interested as I move forward with the seasons to see if that changes at all. Something interesting I noticed on one of the most recent episodes -- the one where the two last teams were the African-American sisters and the two blonde gals (I never know anyone's name).... The other teams were at the station waiting to see which team would run in to join them. Apparently they had no idea who had been eliminated. But in the old seasons that I've been watching we see all teams together for their "mandatory 12-hour rest period" (as Phil reminded the viewers on every episode). Anyone know how they do that rest period now? On the old seasons it would show them eating (nice-looking food too...so clearly the articles that talk about how "the food sucks" are wrong) and socializing... do they still do that? Phil never mentions it like he used to, plus how the other teams didn't know who had been eliminated... It sort-of annoys me when the teams share information with each other, especially actual answers like the "sauerkraut" word scramble. My two favorite teams are the guys with the beards, and the Asian-American couple. I need to practice learning names...I never know anyone's! lol at me.

Not a fan of the blonde girls. For some reason they annoy me and I don’t know why lol. Really like Riley and Madison and hung and Chee. Though the wife needs to stop being so helpful. The bro/sis team I don’t think will be there long, they kind of just float along. They need to make smarter choices. Besides the blondes I like all the teams. Though they need to all stop this alliance and just play. Or make smaller alliances because soon they will need to stop being so nice.
On a side note: it’s so weird seeing everyone out and about. I read this was filmed two years ago and for some reason was canceled this past spring to air. I think it would’ve been nice to watch during the beginning of covid lol.

I mean, there we all were quarantined at home. What better time for a network to be putting on shows with new content.

The alliance thing is bugging me. Survivor is one thing, but on the race you should sink or swim on your own.

I think they cancelled it showing in the Spring because there would be no Survivor to air now. So, for that, it was a smart move to CBS. I like the blondes, they just look like they're having fun. I wish the teams would stop sharing so much information. There's being helpful, but this seems to take it too far to me. I've really been enjoying this season.
