Walked in today to find my cat chewing on one of my completed cards. MIL will get that one. So now I have to lock up the paper goods. Sheesh!

So you’re basically saying ... your cat ate your homework? Yes! I swear, it’s the first cat I’ve ever had that thinks he’s a dog. He plays fetch and chews slippers. And now paper goods. Little monster.

I'm more pouting and frustrated than anything, pain be damned. I have been "scolded" by my kids and peas (another thread) and will be behaving a few weeks and keeping still as possible. Oh, well.

Oh good. I ordered a few weeks ago and it took a while, I'm guessing 2-3 weeks. I just placed a second order this morning so hopefully they'll arrive a little sooner. I'm going to hold off mailing any cards until December, so I have plenty of time even if they're slow again this time around. The stamps I ordered last week arrived today. I ordered 3 different books of US stamps and a sheet of international. I cant believe it arrived ina 12x14 inch pouch. Great idea. I’m going to do that today.

I had offered earlier up-thread to mail cards for our international participants. That offer still stands, and I am HAPPY to do so.... here's how it'll work (trying to make things as easy as possible for myself): 1. I will order stamps again at the end of this week, so we need to take care of it before then. I do not want to go into the PO to buy them in person. My last order of stamps took a while to receive - I don't recall exactly how long but I'd guesstimate it was 2-3 weeks so I want to just take care of it now and not give it another thought. 2. Postage within the US is $.55USD. Figure out how many US cards you're going to send. Multiply that by $.55 then add $2-ish for the fee that the USPS charges to mail them to me. If needed, there are $$$ conversion apps you can use to make the conversion from your money to mine. 3. PM me here with that info and we'll exchange info for payment. 4. Postage needs to be paid before I order stamps for you so please plan on sending e-payment before the end of this week. I have Venmo and Zelle. If your country does not offer those services please find an e-pay service that does and then get in touch wih me. If it's something I can add easily I'll do so I hope that's not too rigid. As I said I am happy to do this, truly. Last call, I'll place an order for stamps tomorrow or Monday! Sorry I missed this, darn. Thanks for offering, anyway. I’ll buy international stamps today.

I am quarantined after direct contact with my boss who tested positive. I was actually going to try to make cards after all, and was looking forward to getting all my supplies this week. Now I'm home for the next two weeks and will end up doing bought cards after all. I'm feeling behind already. So not like me. ((HUGS)) PLurker!

Wish I could add a poll to a reply post like this. I'm new to this and I know it has been said that either is acceptable, but I kinda got the vibe that most make theirs. So I came up with a strategy to make them. Now, I'm thinking maybe it is more common to use store-bought. I'm sure I am over thinking this, but I would be inclined to go with whatever is more common. Do what makes you happy! I make my cards, but, I like getting both store bought and handmade cards.

This is my first year participating and I made mine because I already had the supplies and it was kind of an exercise “just for me” after months and months of focusing on my MIL and getting her belongings purged, house sold, house bought and belongings moved. It was the first time I’ve crafted in years. But I had picked out some nice store bought ones in case that plan couldn’t happen. And I’ll be very glad to receive any type of card, even if someone’s cat chewed on the end. Oh wait, that was mine.

I used to paper scrap and make cards but gave everything away a few years ago. It would mean starting from scratch with supplies, glue etc etc and I'm afraid to open the dam because then I might get back into it all and I can't go down that path again - Dh would kill me! So it's shop bought from me and sent with just the same good wishes as if I'd made them

It is a rainy, grey day here and I am putting up twinkling lights and writing my cards. Is the list of addresses available as an Excel file? My labels are a different size and I can't seem to change the size on the file we were sent, so I need to do a new mail merge (love a mail merge, really).

Do you what you want. I'm making mine, but I have a room full of craft supplies and could stock my own store. I got enough cards done this weekend to send to the International Peas early this week. Labels printed, envelopes ready. Just waiting for white pigment ink to dry over night so I can sign the cards and stuff envelopes! Will send the US cards out right after Thanksgiving weekend.

I have printed my labels and lots of Peas have both the "First Name, & Last name" / 2Peas name. How would everyone like the cards addressed? Real name only (if provided). 2Peas name? Both? No name - To whom it may concern? . LOL In all seriousness, a little guidance on the preferred way to address the cards would be appreciated.
