Sorry but my left-leaning brain still is stuck on the monetary auction being an act of love. If that's how you show love, let's just build a social safety net in the US so everyone gets a share of that love. Seriously though. Let the US start taxing churches for benefits like many other countries do (and no, it's not some sort of attack on freedom of religion), especially the Mormon Church EK belongs to who are amassing immense amounts of money without any benefit for society. 100 billion would go a long way for all the struggling folks, jussayin'. Anyhoo, pardon my socialism. I just needed to vent about this. AMEN! |

She posted a clip of Colin on IG, in case people “needed a laugh”. In it, he makes fun of “mommy bloggers” and has pretend conversations with people, calling them sluts as an insult. It was meant as a parody video (which wasn’t the least bit funny IMO), but it was in serious bad taste, again IMO. Someone really should take her phone away. I understand people grieve differently but her behavior on IG is not healthy for her or her children. I saw that. And yep. Im unfollowing. She is seriously showing bad judgement --- to the extent I think she's showing her true character. Its not a pretty look for her, IMHO. |

My bet is that they were full tithe payers. I have no doubts that the LDS church would help them when there's a sudden death in the family and he's the main bread winner. How long it would last, who knows? Depends on the bishop. But yeah, there's help readily available to her. |

After reading about it here, I wanted to see the weird video. Scroll to the second page, and it's there. I tried to embed JUST the video, but can't seem to. WHY would she post that video? He says "slut" twice  And, his voice goes from feminine to faux southern. For all the good that he supposedly did was undone with that. I cannot stand the word slut and using it in the flippant way he did was super distasteful for a " Christian Man"

Did he start a GFM to pay for his tickets? 😏 ETA: He was so belligerent with the officer. It’s so disgusting that he lied about what happened. It really makes me question his integrity in general. He wasn’t a young kid that did something stupid. He was in his 30’s when this happened & posted a bunch of lies to make the officer look bad. He sounded like a complete douche in the interview. |

Wow. I'd always heard the story about what an ass he'd been about this whole incident, but I'd never seen the news video before. Collin looks like he was often looking for ways to capitalize on anything, any trend, etc., to get validation and probably money. He got people all jazzed about how stupid the police were, based on a lie. He got people all jazzed about how smart phones are never right for teens, without any credentials or peer-reviewed studies to back up his hype. It's just who he was, I guess. Find a bandwagon for people to jump on, get people to send money and validation. Looks like it runs in the family. |

I still haven't gotten thru the full 15 minutes of his whining and asking the same questions over and over and "I'm just going to get diapers and then I'm going home." I wonder how many young black men were just going to do some errand for their spouse, parent, etc. when they got pulled over for some bs reason and then were found w/an expired license. I bet they'd like to name drop important mormons and be allowed to bs and whine for 15 minutes while the cops sit there and listen. Why was their life so out of control? No diapers? No valid license? It's no longer surprising to me that they didn't carry life insurance. Maybe a bit less time posing for social media and a bit more time on "the boring stuff" like making sure you don't run out of diapers w/your baby "crapping their pants" waiting or that you keep your license renewed would have helped? Irony of ironies. |

I know she is hurting and probably not thinking straight, and a beach vacay is probably a good idea for her and the kids. But why isn't someone telling her to stop posting! How is nobody helping her with her image right now?! If she continues parading her money around like this she may not be employable in the future. Unless she gets a gig on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. I hear they pay well. And she would fit right in. |

I hope she will find strength to get some professional help. Two key takeaways: 1) She needs professional help. And there is nothing wrong with that. After my ex-husband (also one of my best friends, and father of my son) passed away, I got therapy, and it helped a lot. 2) She REALLY needs to watch what she is posting, someone needs to take all her electronic devices away. Her children *will* see this and it will not be good for them. That's one thing that got me through my ex-husband's passing, that I needed to be the example for my son, to do things right for him. I agree, everyone grieves differently, but publicly...everyone needs to be careful, if for no other reason, than for the children. |

I only watched one of her Instagram stories and she was mocking her daughter's piano playing saying the music was depressing, I hope her children don't read what she is posting.
