Peeling anything. We are making apple pie and mashed potatoes. Two things I’m not looking forward to peeling. I don't peel apples for apple crisp. Maybe you could skip it for the pie? I just sloppily/half-ass peel potatoes for mashing or soup. Just one circuit around the potato with the peeler, leaving probably 10% of the skin still on it. I don’t normally peel potatoes much for mashed potatoes but these potatoes are being used for my grandma’s potato rolls, so they will have to be peeled.

and i try not to buy that pre-peeled stuff, it goes bad too quickly
ps - cutting up a whole chicken is actually a lot easier than you'd think

I hate browning ground beef, trying to separate the big chunks into crumbles. You need a mix and mash from pampered chef. One of my very favoorite kitchen tools. And no, I don't sell PC Mix and Mash
I hate dicing onions I buy frozen diced onions

I buy chopped onions too. Hate peeling them. My least favourite task is washing frypans and roasting trays.

I don't like anything to do with meat, and I detest prepping vegetables, mainly because I'm slow at it.

Cooking chicken! I love it in the crockpot, but I cannot cook chicken in the oven or stove. It's always so dry!

Peeling potatoes and cleanup that’s the worst. I hate doing the dishes and cleaning the stove and countertops after oh and the floors lol.

I hate all the cleanup. Luckily, DH does most of it. tanya2, put the cloves of garlic in hot water for 60 seconds. The peels slide right off.

I can do anything in the kitchen. Seriously. But I hate to clean up. I am fine with clean as you go. But everyone who helps out just wants to stack it up and do it after. And then disappear.
For those who hate to touch raw meat, buy some exam gloves or food prep gloves. You don’t have to directly touch the meat.
For ground meat, break it up before you put it in the pot, it is easier that breaking up cooked or partially cooked meat. I crumble it in the pot as the pot is heating up.
When chopping onions, wear gloves, have a lit candle next to your cutting board. It gets rid of the noxious gas the onions give off so it won’t burn your eyes. Also peel your onion and toss it into a bowl of cold water and let it set for a few minutes before chopping, it’s to get rid of the fumes to.
For those who hate cutting yo chicken, buy chicken already cut up or ask the butcher to cut it up for you. Some will do it no charge.

Carving the turkey and getting the turkey leftovers cleaned up and in the fridge. I hate it so much that it makes me dread the rest of Thanksgiving. When I'm stuffed and sleepy, I don't want to be wrestling with how to get meat off the bones and sliced for sandwiches. Which is our favorite part of Thanksgiving, so I do it. I have also watched many videos on where to slice, and while I have improved, I am still not great at it. Plus, all the turkey slime.

My least favorite tasks are putting groceries away when I get home and dealing with leftovers. I dread both of those things. I love cooking. I love chopping veggies, I love making bread by hand. I don't even mind touching raw meat. I just turn the hot water on before I start so I can wash my hands right away.

I just read a life changing tip about peeling garlic...put the clove(s) in the microwave for a few seconds. Poof! The skins all fall off! Nothing ever ever worked any better! Not those rubby tubes, smashing, this pops off the skin perfectly! As for chicken...I don't know why I can't do it right. I like buying whole chickens because I like to make stock with the bones. But separating the back from the breast, the thigh from the back, ugh I never get it right!

Chopping vegetables. I love cooking but wish I had a prep cook assistant. Same. Hate chopping, love cooking, want a prep assistant! omg cutting up a whole chicken! I can't do it! Every time I wind up with these weird Franken pieces! I've watched so many videos, it looks so damn easy, why can't I do it?! Yes! One of DSO's friends is a chef, and he has shown me a couple of times, but I just.can't.do.it. I'll cut down one side and all of a sudden there's a random bone in the way that should NOT be there! I end up with a plate full of chicken bits with meatless bones sticking out.

Now that I’m vegetarian, not much. Back when I ate meat, any touching/cooking/preparing raw meat. I hated browning ground beef because the smell is so unappetizing.

But separating the back from the breast, the thigh from the back, ugh I never get it right! I learned how from Rachael Ray. Scissors or a sharp knife to cut away the spine first on both sides, then crack the breastbone by pushing down on the flattened chicken, then cut in half down the middle of the bone, then separate the breast from the thigh/leg. I prefer to buy whole chickens too, much more flavourful! And I love those tips about heating the garlic first!!!

Prepping cilantro and parsley or greens like kale or chard. I hate them all but still use them.
And cleaning up. 😒

Chopping vegetables. Especially onions, but all of them.
Also dishes, but I think that's a given.

The clean up is the worst. I also don't like peeling potatoes. DH usually carves the turkey and takes care of the pots/pans and ithercutems that don't go in the dishwasher during holiday meals. He never does dishes for every day meals. Since it's just us this year, it will be interesting to see how much he cleans up. He will peel the potatoes and sweet potatoes. One of my most-used kitchen gadgets us NY onion dicer. I'm on my second line and have a back up in the cupboard for when this one wears out. Also works great for chopping celery. www.walmart.com/ip/Progressive-Onion-Chopper-Dicer/20469704
