Happy Monday! It was stormy with rain and thunder today so we stayed in and watched movies. Dh in on vacay today and tomorrow. Oh yeah, I love all your cards. I covered my doors with Christmas wrapping paper and then added all the cards on them. It looks so good! As I look at each one, I am so amazed at your talents and style. Just beautiful! Here is a TN page I did last week and a surprise today. I was featured on Scrapbook dot com again. So cool!!! Festive TN Page by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr Scrapbook Featured by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr linda- CONGRATS and what a gorgeous home!!!!! I wish we could have a "pea" craft party to celebrate your house. nylene- Sad to hear about your grand doggy loss. grammadee- Have you started playing with your new scrapping toys, yet?

love the TN page kellyr21 - you are so talented! thank you - I'm so excited about the house, can't wait to settle in (guess I need to pack first..it's a local move so we'll be moving a bit everyday). Maybe once I get the craft room set up, I'll be able to figure out the Hangouts that grammadee etc...do here.

Good morning all! Linda - Congrats on the new house! It is so pretty. We moved about 2 years ago and downsized quite a bit, so I got rid of a lot of stuff while packing and then bought almost all new furniture when we moved. It was freeing to get rid of so much stuff. I have actually been going through closets in the past week getting rid of things that we moved with us that we haven't used since the move. I hate clutter, so it makes me feel better to have less stuff. Enjoy your new home! It's awesome that you've been doing such a great job of scrapping the pandemic. I've been making a few normal LO's and then did a Project Life type of album this year and mixed in some journaling and pics about the pandemic. I'm really hoping this is a once in a lifetime type of things that will seem really unusual in years to come. Nylene - Sorry about the loss of your grand-dog. We have 2 Cavaliers and an Aussalier (she's half mini-Aussie and half Cavalier). Mallory's Cav, Fabio turned 14 in November, which is well past their normal lifespan. Thankfully, he is pretty healthy for his age, but he is definitely slowing down. She always says Fabio's life force is tied to hers and that he is going to live as long as her. It seems so hard to believe that Ashley is all grown up and getting married. She will be a beautiful bride. Can't wait to see you scrapping those photos. Kelly - your pages are beautiful!!! You make sure creative, pretty things. Joyfulnana - That photo of Rudy and Angel is ADORABLE!!! They are so cute together! Knustschen - It sounds like you were worn out! I hope you get rested up and that you have the stamina to care for others in your work and to take care of yourself when you are home. That sounds exhausting. I'm off work this week, so I've been doing a lot of reading, cleaned out some closets, played some bridge yesterday (I've been teaching my son, Griffin, to play) and I'm planning to make a few LO's today. I'm really trying not to work much while I'm supposed to be off, so it's been nice. My daughter, Mallory, finished college last week and has her second interview with a research facility today, which she is super excited about. She was a biology major and wants to do research while she figures out what field to get her master's degree in. I hope you all have a nice day!

Linda that's so exciting! I'm so happy for you. That looks like a lovely house. Lucky you for living in a warm weather state. Moving in January in this part of the country would be awful. That would be so cool if you can join in on the hangouts. nylene, I'm so sorry about your grand dog. We had Springer Spaniel and she was the best dog. I still miss her sometimes and she's been gone 20 years. How thrilling for Ashley! I can't wait to see the pages you scrap, and that you are being kept in the loop. I believe I saw you may be able to attend the wedding? Fingers crossed we are back to normal by the holidays next year so we can hug and love on people. I know it's been hard on you not seeing the kids and grands. kellyr21 I LOVE that TN spread. How cool to be featured at sb.com again, although I totally understand why! Your work is beautiful. shinyhappytina I will be clearing out clutter this year as well. I have reached the limits of what my apartment can hold lol. It's going to feel so good and I can't wait. Only 3 days left of this dreadful year and hope on the horizon! My niece had planned to host super spreader event Christmas Eve, blending at least 4 households. Two hours before dinner her DH got his positive result. I just shook my head when mom said she was going there for dinner. But crisis averted (hopefully) Sometimes I feel like I'm wearing a tin foil hat here lol. Our scrappy session was fun, but I am seeing how much I just spin my wheels moving paper around without a plan. We are going to scrap again New Years Day, and I've got several page kits put together. I haven't scrapped a thing since October. It's time! Everyone else will be scrapping their holiday and I'm finally ready to start scrapping the pandemic lol. I'm doing OLW this year, and thought about doing it digitally, but it just won't be as satisfying that way. I want to get my album ready to go this weekend as well. Hope everyone is having a great week so far. It's early I know! lol

shinyhappytina - I've been decluttering and getting rid of stuff - the girls are also. Hoping DH will too. We're not in a place to replace a bunch of furniture but I'm definitely consolidating and considering where each piece will go. Congratulations to Mallory - and best wishes with job hunting. Enjoy your time off. joyfulnana - yes - winter is definitely the best time to move here - 2 moves ago we moved in the summer, it was brutal. Looking forward to the new year and hopefully the pandemic winding down. Joining you on the tin foil hat bench - our area is hard hit with both covid and deniers. Good luck with your scrappy plans I have a few more boxes on hand so will get those filled and then fill up the car when DH gets home tonight. He's dropping off the new doors after work - we bought them last night - there are two doors between the garage and the house and the inspector flagged them as being hollow core and out of code. He's supposed to be pickng up my new freezer also - the little (5 cu ft) chest freezer I've had since the 90s is slowly dying so when we were buying doors, I also bought a freezer - upright and nearly 3x bigger at 14 cu ft. Hopefully he'll also bring more boxes.

Congratulations, Linda !It looks like a lovely home and I'm glad things went smoothly. I hope when you get settled you can join us on Hangouts. I'm glad it's not as cold in Florida as it is here. Moving in Jan would be miserable. Nice to have a new freezer too! kellyr21 , your TN is really cute. I especially love those peppermints on the paper you used for the clothing of your cute girl. I love your Christmas message on the opposite page. Your white pen looks so pretty. I am not surprised you were featured on scrapbook .com again. I am still having issues getting it to load. shinyhappytina gave me suggestions and that did help. It doesn't time out before connecting, but it takes forever to load so I have not done much visiting. I need to get Doug over here to help me after the wedding is over and when he is less busy at work. shinyhappytina , congrats to Mal. I hope she gets a job that keeps her interest until she's ready to start on her Masters. What is Olivia doing now? Were the girls both home for Christmas? joyfulnana , we can attend the wedding. They allow 10 people. We will be social distanced and masked. We have decided to go very early to the reception that evening, stay just long enough to wish them well, and then watch the rest online. Only 50 people were invited and they are spaced out throughout the evening. Even that makes me too nervous to stay. I hope they get some good photos of the cake cutting, etc. so I can get copies. I am glad your mom was able to avoid a close Covid contact. Wow! Scary. Today I am trying to get some cleaning done. I have put it off since it doesn't look bad and no one comes here, but it needs to be done. I have made a big pile of things to donate, but the lines are so long to drop things off that I may wait a few days. My scraproom is a disaster because things got put in here to make room for Christmas. I will work on it a little at a time so I can clear my desk enough to scrap. Waving to all the Pokeys. I hope you are all keeping warm and safe. It was 26 degrees this a.m. when I took DH to a shop to pick up his repaired nail gun. I'm happy staying nice and warm at home!

Linda your new house sounds amazing! I can't wait to see what you do with it. nylene, I'm so glad you can attend the wedding. It sounds like you have a solid plan to get in and get out! My place is a disaster, especially the office which became a catch all during Christmas. So glad the holidays are over lol. I have plans for lots of decluttering and downsizing this year. But getting things donated is the obstacle. I have a couple of large furniture pieces I have to figure out how to get out of here. I need a truck! lol. grammadee have you had any word on your surgery?

joyfulnana - thank you. About the donations - some places will pick up (none in my rural area though) - might be worth calling around. If not, maybe offer up on FB marketplace or a neighbourhood page?

Hi Pokeys! I just got back from running over to pick up a Cameo 3 that I bought on Marketplace for my sister. She is having a tough time, so I thought it might brighten her day. I got a great deal and it came with mats, vinyl, blades, etc. I'm going to ship it to her since she lives a couple of hours away. nylene - I'm really glad you get to go to the wedding, it sure will be good when this comes to an end. Olivia (and Felix, her dog) was here for about a week at Christmas. She is working as a Communications Director for a law firm now. It's a firm that specializes in nonprofit law, so she likes that it still feels mission-driven, but she gets to use her marketing/communications skills too. She was all excited last month because she got her first royalty check on her book sales. She and Mallory participated in a show being produced by one of the Entertainment Tonight producers, so that will air in February, so it may be a catalyst for book sales too. Her book also got picked up by Barnes and Noble last month, which made her pretty happy. I think it's doing pretty well for a self-published book. joyfulnana - my aunt and cousins had over 50 of them together for Thanksgiving and then again for Christmas. After they did T-giving, the great-grandparents who are in their 90's got Covid, as did one of the grandma's...but they did it again for Christmas. They say God already knows if they are going to die from Covid, so they aren't changing things for it. I don't understand it though, I think it's crazy. I have done 2 LO's from Christmas so far. I am such a slow scrapper, it took me forever. I always think that I'll just make it a simple one and get it done...then I proceed to make it hard and spend hours paper piecing or backing diecuts...lol. Hope you are able to play and don't have to spend your time cleaning.

God already knows if they are going to die from Covid See, in my point of view, God gives us the resources to best deal with our problems - like scientists who tell us not to gather in large groups - and He expects us to use this knowledge??? You've already done 2 Christmas layouts??? I haven't printed photos from Christmas 2019... I guess I'm slower than you Linda- CUTE CUTE house! I love it! Gorgeous TN spread kellyr21. I LOVE the print on her suit! Sometimes I feel like I'm wearing a tin foil hat here lol. Did you see the sad news about the GOP Congressman-elect from Louisiana who died of COVID? 41 years old. I think there's reasonable precautions to be taken. I think if everyone could just be smart about this - distancing, masking, limited bubbles - we wouldn't be facing the lockdowns that come after people are stupid... What is everyone doing to "celebrate" New Years? I love the meme "for the first time ever, hindsight will be 2020" that's on social media. We're doing our favourite appetizers and family games. I have to work the next morning tho, so I'm not sure I will stay up. It seems historic however, this special year that's leaving us, so I may anyways! I am working on the cover page to my MILs 2021 calendar; all the 12 months are done! I had the cover designed with pandemic icons (a roll of TP, washing hands, "if you need me, I'll be at home" etc) and the title "2020, a year to forget". When I suddenly realized - before gluing anything down - that this calendar is for 2021, and not reliving this past year!!! I'm so glad I caught myself. What a stupid mistake!

gramma thank you! I have several boxes that could be shipped already. Last day of this year! I love the feeling of a fresh new year. Full of so many possibilities! Tonight I will be putting the layouts I finished last year into albums. 57 for the year! That is the most I've ever done in a year, and I credit that to the team challenges and the hangouts. I'm excited to see those start up again. Put those away with some wine and I've started watching The Queen's Gambit so a couple episodes of that. A nice quiet night. I'm having another scrap day with mom and my niece tomorrow. Hopefully it will be productive and I can start the year out with some points! Happy New Year to you all, stay safe and have fun!!

gramma, thanks for the link to the donate box. We only have one place open for donations right now and there are always long lines. For the other one, you have to go online, make an appt and then donate. It's out of town so I would usually go after a medical appt, but it's a pain trying to arrive at the proper minute when you are running between medical appts. joyfulnana, you have such a great outlook for starting the New Year. I need to get myself to that point. I am just tired of being cooped up and haven't convinced myself that it can get better. I think I need a visit from a grandchild! That would really lighten my mood. (sigh) shinyhappytina, please let me know when Olivia and Mallory's interview is on the air. I would love to see them. I hope the interview generates sales for O's book. It was very informative and I enjoyed it. grammadee, what are your usual New Year's Eve traditions? I need to get things done around the house today. I will post the 2021 January thread later tonight. Have a great New Year's Eve, everyone.

Happy New Year! I got my covid vaccine today - it only took 2 hours in a line up with other health care providers - half out on the cold sidewalk... I was excited. I got in last minute. Our region has about 2500 vaccines in this first batch (I'm first batch! I'm first batch!) but they were mainly for long-term care workers/caregivers. Well, those people aren't showing up/taking appointments this long weekend...and they don't want to waste the vaccine...so they started to call the 3 hospitals to offer it to the people working in exposed situations! I jumped in with both feet. I stood in line, and they couldn't find my name on the list. People streamed past me while they tried to confirm who I was. In the end... I was the LAST vaccine given today. The LAST vaccine of 2020 in my region How awesome is that??? And so it shall be scrapped
