As I sit here watching the snow fall down I'm wondering how many are dreaming of a white Christmas. We have snow from October/November to April so yes we will have a white Christmas. There are times when we don't have a ton of snow and a good chinook blows in and melts most of it but that doesn't seem to line up and give us a black Christmas. Not that I'm complaining I'll take a break from winter anytime it comes! Is there anyone who has never seen snow?

Our last two Christmases have been green in Montréal. So far this year we haven’t had any snow that has stayed on the ground. The grass is still green, but it’s been cold for the last two days.

I put never because in my lifetime it has snowed 6 times between Thanksgiving and New Years.

Snow on Christmas in Seattle is very unlikely. However, it did happen couple of years ago and it was awesome!

I'm in central Indiana and we normally have like a 20% chance of having a white Christmas. However, I was just watching a long range forecast and they were saying it's possible we may have a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. We aren't doing anything or going anywhere so that would be so cool!

I'm in SW Florida, so the only white I'll see n my yard on Christmas day is the White Ibis eating bugs. Thank goodness, I hate cold (it doesn't play well with my RA)

I had it when I lived in Colorado and when I lived in Switzerland, but never here in Virginia, alas. Nothing like it!

I need an answer between sometimes and never- more like it can but usually doesn’t. 😂 I remember one legit snowy Christmas and a maybe once it snowed like a few days before or after?

I’ve had a white Christmas twice with traveling but normally we do not have one since we usually spend Christmas in Southern California. I’ve also seen snow plenty, I went to college in the Midwest. That was enough snow experience, I prefer a nice sunny Christmas Day at the beach.

Well, it snowed in Indiana yesterday. It's supposed to be in the 40's this weekend, so probably not.

Sometimes = highly unlikely in the UK At the moment it's 'unseasonably mild' and s set to get a little colder but I'd be shocked if it got really cold, let alone snowed.

I voted Never, although we did have an extremely rare snowfall on Christmas Eve in 2004. It was only enough to coat everything lightly, but it was magical to come out of the 11 pm church service to snow every where!

We got dumped on in Central PA last night, anywhere from 17-21 inches depending on where you live. Took us all day to dig out even with a snow blower! Temps will probably stay low enough to ensure a white Christmas, and more snow is in the forecast. We used to always have a white Christmas, but now it is rarer.

We’ve had at least 6” of snow on the ground since early November. I won’t see the ground again until mid-April, at the earliest, and we usually have drifts until mid-June.
So, yes, definitely a white Christmas.

No snow here. I was fortunate, though, to have three white Christmas' in Montreal when I was a child. All the carols and decorations and wrapping paper make sense when it's cold at Christmas. We're looking at temps in the high 90s, early 100s.

I’ve enjoyed our mild fall and I don’t care if we have a white Xmas, especially this year. Right now in Calgary there is hardly any snow to speak of and I like it! I’ve been getting out for lots of long walks and I’ve enjoyed it so much.

I'm not going to skew your poll by responding, but no, we won't have a white Christmas because it's summer here. Although I do have a vague recollection of there being snow on the mountains down in Tasmania (our southern-most state) back in December 2017. We were laughing about it because DSO and DS were heading down there just after Christmas to go camping.

I'm in So Cal and the closest to white it will get here is if we drive to the mountains. Snow is beautiful to look at but I would hate dealing with it. I remember when I was in grade school and my cousins moved out here to California from Missouri. My one cousin cried every year at Christmas time because he hated that it was sunny and 80 degrees. He wanted to go home to Missouri where there was snow for Christmas. I used to feel sorry that he missed it so much.

Snow is very very rare in my part of So. Cal. We’ve had a few flurries where it was a cross between snow and ice, and it fell for only minutes and only lasted for a few minutes. It was like a major news story! Lol!

I would love it if we did! But, it’s highly unlikely. It’s so rare, that in the past, we’ve had some retail stores basically gamble that it wouldn’t snow.
A place that sold snowblowers would refund your money on a snowblower purchased between certain dates and get it free if it snowed a certain amount on Christmas Eve. A jewelry store had a similar promotion. To my knowledge, I don’t think either place ever had to pay out.

Occasionally, we have a white Christmas. We did a couple of years ago. We could have one if we drove up into the mountains. This year, we will have a gray-and-damp Christmas.
We get the bulk of our snow (when we get it) in January and February. The last two years we had enough to shut down school for a couple of days. Last year was a break-tree-branches kind of snow.

I live in northern Indiana, almost on the Michigan line, we have a 30% chance on Christmas Eve and none on Christmas day. So probably not and I am fine with that. I hate the snow!

Our December has been unusually warm... I think it hit 50 degrees today. We’ve gotten quite a bit of rain that would be snow in a normal year. I like snow at Christmas (and only at Christmas) but can definitely live without it.

I checked sometimes but it's more like rarely. I can remember maybe 2 Christmases in the last 15 years with snow.

I live in Michigan. We have a green Christmas every few years. About 8 or 9 years ago, we had a really warm Christmas. 60 degrees, kids outside in hoodies on their new bikes.
I think this year is going to be one of those cold with a dusting kind of year. We currently have less than an inch on the ground now with very little in the forecast.

I'm in Southern California not too far from the coast. It has never snowed here, Christmas or otherwise. We did have a single day many years ago where we got tiny hail one winter. It melted not long after falling other than in planters. It was funny to see hail surrounding my panseys. Every one came out of their houses to experience it and the kids were estatic.

I’m near Portland, OR. We’ve had snow on Christmas twice in recent memory (2007 & 2008) but our overall chance of having snow on Christmas is only about 1%.

I'm in Western Washington. We have had white Christmases, but fairly rarely.
I do not believe snow is in the forecast this year.
