Thank you for that link, PaperAngel . I am glad they are no longer in bankruptcy. Unfortunately, it’s already been made clear to many of us that we won’t be finding much in the way of papercraft treasures (if any) there in the future, even with the remaining stores staying open. The more I see the papercraft section dwindling at TM, the less guilty I feel about my hoard stash. I have no LSS near me, so a fair amount of my stash came from TM. They had good deals in their day. I will miss that.

I haven't been to a Tuesday Morning since last summer so it sounds like I'm not missing anything. I was thinking about going when my daughter is in full day camp since the closest one is about 30 minutes from me but I may not bother now.

There has been pretty much nothing scrappy besides paper pads/packs, a few metal dies/stamps and WRMK stuff, and not much of any of those things except paper.

I live in Canada, and have yet to visit a Tuesday Morning. Tuesday Morning kinda reminds me of Winners, back in the day. We have a few Winner(s) stores around here. A few years ago, Winners sold tonnes of paper pads, thickers, embellishments, at a fraction of the cost. I think this was when Archiver's closed, and Winners purchased their stock at a bargin, and began to sell it off. The scrapbooking items Winners had for sale were amazing! I mean, these were brand new, current, on trend items. As soon as I'd get to the store (and I would make a habit to visit weekly), I would load up my cart with all sorts of scrappy goodies. It was as if Winners were giving these scrapbooking supplies away (ie: $2.99CAN for a 6x6 paper pad, $1.99 for a package of Thickers etc...). Compared to Michael's or any LSS, these prices were 80 percent cheaper than the usual retail price! At the time, family members called me a hoarder, and my scrappy friends laughed at me. But no one is laughing at me now, as Winners stopped selling scrapbooking items years ago and one package of Thickers at most LSS retails for $8CAN + tax, and 6x6 paper pads cost $9 - $10CAN + tax. The cost to accumulate any sort of scrapbooking stash has become astronomical. In other words, I am very pleased that I stocked up when I did!

They were definitely picked over more since my visit last Friday, but I did find some packs and paper pads that were those prices. The highest price was $4.77 on packs that had once been listed at $14 (which was way overpriced), some were $2.50, and the lowest was about $1.77, although I didn’t buy any of the latter, even though they were a good deal. Also, they had a free form foil pen for $5.99, which had originally been about $18. I’d seen it there for a long time. They had discounted it only to $16 before, which was still overpriced. For $6, I figured I’d try it. The newer paper pads have not been discounted, but there are not many of them. They mostly have a lot of the Violet Studio cardstock (or whatever the name is). It’s just the older paper packs that have been there awhile that were discounted. Once the older stuff is gone, there will be very little left of the craft section.

DH and DS stopped at TM this week (ours isn't particularly local but they were in the area) and came home with 2 pks of whiter cardstock (Violet Studios), a Graphic 45 12x12 pad "life's a journey", and a 25pk of Graphic 45 paper from the same collection "Get lost" - it has antique vehicle cut-aparts on one side (which is what appealed to DH) and a versatile stripe on the other.
I think the cut-aparts will work for masculine cards and for car-show photos but the stripes will be the more useful side.

Today I was near a TM and called first to find out what the situation was there. The clown I talked to wouldn’t give me a straight answer so I went in and checked it out. It was better than the one I went to a few days ago but still not good. Very little in stock with some things on clearance. I got a MME Just Chill 6x8 paper pad bundle that came with an ephemera pack and a sticker book $11.99, two SS Best Year Ever November 25 pack $3, a June 25 pack $3, and an EP solids pad $4.77. I have no idea why I thought I needed the 25 packs or the solids pad because it’s colors I don’t use often. Maybe it was just a sad last hurrah.

It's kind of sad this is the direction they are taking. It's really is no better in Utah. Before the shutdown, me and my daughter would occasionally see an early movie and stop by because it's in a city where we normally don't do shopping.

My TM has shrunk so much since I was last in there, I walked right past it! They only had a few packs of Graphic 45 single sheets of 25, a few pair of scissors, two Quickutz dies and a Big Shot machine. Then the rest of the aisle was yoga mats and decorative boxes. I asked the guy we always love to visit with and he said things should start improving soon, blame it on the pandemic he said. It's very sad, this was my go to place since we don't have a lss. We have a HL and Michaels but I almost never find anything good there. It's only their brand. I remember when we first got a HL, they had Simple Stories and Bo Bunny etc...very sad.

My TM has shrunk so much since I was last in there, I walked right past it! … I asked the guy we always love to visit with and he said things should start improving soon, blame it on the pandemic he said. I think that sounds like an assumption of an employee who doesn’t know the reason but doesn’t want to lose a customer. Many of us have seen the closure of every LSS in our area, and TM became a way of finding some of those goods that the big box stores didn’t carry. Sadly, paper crafts continue to dwindle in popularity, and various scrapbook manufacturers have been taken over by American Crafts. TM offers closeout items, although rumor had it that some papercraft supplies were made for Tuesday Morning. I don’t think that is the case anymore. Yes, the pandemic hurt TM, which eventually produced this end result, but I doubt things will improve as far as craft offerings. I saw the craft section get picked over during the pandemic, because the truck deliveries were really haphazard for awhile, but new stuff showed up on the shelves again as restrictions eased, only to dwindle back down to nothing after states fully opened. I live in Texas. Their headquarters is (or was) in my area. It’s dwindled to almost nothing here. TM head honchos have apparently decided that crafts (especially paper crafts) aren’t making enough money, so they seem to be focusing more on home decor. At least that’s how I see it. I don’t think it will get any better, but I would be delighted to be wrong.

I went last week because a pop-up shop from a local reuse center was a bust. Granted, they had a lot of paper and whatnot, but nothing I absolutely had to have.
I also picked up 2 of the EP solids packs, and a hockey-themed collection of papers that retails for $16 on scrapbook.com for $2. It'll come in handy for a future trip. Haha. (I'm notorious for buying things for trips we've not even taken yet but want the paper now, and for $2? I'll take it.)

I went to my closest TM yesterday and found some paper packs, stickers and Quickutz dies that were 90% off. There still less than 1/2 an aisle of sb products left. So sad.

Went today and the craft aisle is even smaller! Less than 1/2 an aisle and that was all crafts including fine art, yarn/needlework, and paper crafts. They did have an end cap with art supplies so maybe that makes it a whole half an aisle for crafts. I am having better luck finding goodies at the thrift stores.

...I assume that raising their prices was thought to be necessary to work their way out of bankruptcy faster...TM’s discounts aren’t as good as they used to be. It’s possible that they will always have a small area devoted to crafts, but paper crafting is not as popular as it once was. I assume they are probably going to put more trendy crafts in whatever small craft space they keep. Note TM exited from bankruptcy in January: www.bizjournals.com/dallas/news/2021/01/04/tuesday-morning-emerges-from-chapter-11.htmlGiven the pandemic impacted every industry & costs have increased, it’s not surprising if TM can’t buy & sell product at the same low prices. The apparent elimination of papercrafts suggest they aren’t profitable or considered an avenue to increase future profitability &/or the company lost craft customers during the pandemic due to lack of selection &/or prices higher than they were willing to pay. Per an assistant manager, the store will continue to have a crafts section but without scrapbooking/stamping products for the most part. The company has determined the cost in time & square footage to count, price, store, & maintain the numerous small physical & priced items in the craft section could better be used for larger physical & profit items that further its expansion in furniture & home decor. That makes sense for the most part, but if you think about how well they had that stuff stacked in there when they were really selling crafts, the space 60 - 12 x 12 packs of paper took up way less space than a two lamps. The paper would cost way more than the lamps too. Now as for pricing each item and stocking it, yes, it would take more time, but I am not buying the storage part.

Two weeks ago I bought 2 of the EP 10 page sticker sets for $4.77 each. I have some of the sets already, but at 48 cents a sheet the my LSS sells for $3.50, I thought it was a good buy.
I do wonder if sometime down the line if they will go back to stocking the scrapbook supplies if they find they are losing too many customers. I guess it also depends on how many craft places have overstock they are trying to get rid of.

He said he's had people come in and get mad about the lack of crafts saying it is the only reason they come in. To be fair, a business needs to do what it needs to do to survive, but it sucks for those of us that shopped there regularly. I guess I shopped at TM with future layouts in mind and I shop at my LSS with current layouts in mind. This might help me limit my spending though.

My second stop would be the pet section. and then everything else. Since my dog does not need anything, and I am trying to get rid of stuff I don't need, there is really no reason to go. I am not even tempted despite being in the same parking lot 2-3 times since then.

I went this morning for something else and stopped by the scrap aisle. They have a lot marked down. Many planners are marked down to $2.34 and a lot of 25 sheets of the same paper is marked down to $2.xx as well. It was all Echo Park, I think. Some Heidi Swapp Project Life. I almost bought it because $2.xx!! But I forced myself not to. Same with volleyball paper. I mentally slapped myself and left the store, but it was hard.

I went in last week to get out of the heat while DH was in therapy. The decorative boxes that took up most of the craft aisle got moved to a different aisle, and there are even more of the decorative boxes than before. They take up an entire aisle on one side now. I saw no one looking at them. I never see anyone looking at the decorative boxes. They annoy me because they represent the crafts being replaced, and it makes me feel like TM just tried to fill the empty space (that had been filled with crafts) with decorative boxes instead. They’ve always had the decorative boxes, but never so many. It looks contrived.
The crafts, journals, and related items (all combined) now take up one side of one aisle, but crafts are a very minimal part. It looks like the toy section is smaller, too.
It looks they are trying to focus almost exclusively on home decor and related items.

I caved about a month ago and bought some Putt-Putt paper for miniature golf. I still have YEARS of my kids playing miniature gold to scrap, so at $2.50 for a pack of 25, I thought I could use it in several years of photos.

I'm sad to say after trying TM the last few month a couple times and not buying anything (and watching the crafts selection dwindle), it seems like I just don't have the motivation to go there any more. It really was the crafts (scrapbooking) that brought me in, although I did end up buying things like furniture, home goods, kitchen, beauty items, candy. Crafts was what really got me in the door and wanting to stop by, and distinguished TM from going to Target, HomeGoods, TJMaxx, etc. It was fun while it lasted.
