Yep. It crossed my mind as well. 

I also could see where more people would donate to her if they could get a tax write off. I can see it now, there will be fundraising drives quarterly.

EXACTLY! Such a strange contradictory messages. It's okay to not look at the road if you are cute? Video and posts are more important? You control your child's social media, while I exploit mine?

I used to be perplexed by their mixed signals and am angry now. They are reinforcing bad behavior and can hurt others.

I just CANNOT fathom how much he promoted the HARMFUL DAMAGE social media is doing to kids, yet his wife shares wayyyy
too much on her Insta! I would LOVE to know what he thought of that before he died! Then again, maybe she
wasn't sharing THAT much about her kids back then?

I wonder what Collin would have thought about his wife sharing their
daughter's first kiss ? Could it be that Lizzy is so distraught with grief, she's not
realizing how much these intimate, personal moments of her children should NOT be shared?
(I'm trying to be empathetic here-- truly!) I know grief is an overwhelming, horrible thing, and that's the ONLY
way I can understand why she's not realizing how harmful this oversharing can be.

BUT---as I said before, I don't know
if she was oversharing her kids' personal info while Collin was alive. If so, that makes NO SENSE!
*IF* she was, what did HE think about it? Can anyone tell me if he ALSO overshared about his
kids on HIS page? I don't have the energy to search, so I thought some of you could tell me.

On a related note---IF Collin overshared his kids' personal things, and/or if only Lizzie did,
did any of the parents at his events ever ask him about it? If so, I'd LOVE to know how he
answered!

What would he have thought about his wife driving while filming, with NO SEAT BELTS on
his child, what would he have thought about her tearing up the Chik-Fil-A gift card for all
the world to see, etc. etc.

For anyone who didn't follow Collin's journey on social media: he was just as crazy about it as Liz. He has a well-documented past of dickish behaviour and even lying on social media to play the victim. Insulting women, lying about getting ticket over honking, etc.

The main takeaway from outsiders since he started on his #SAVETHEKIDS journey was that it was inherently contradictory with his online presence and that of wife. And that it was basically Abstinence for Teens: the Tech Edition. No smartphones for them, no TikTok (oh, he sooo hated TikTok and when it almost got banned in the US for completely different reasons, he cheered loud and clear). He also shared messages he got from struggling teens who were contacting him (yep, that's totally ok /s). He was fueled by the likes and the attention (hence his "comedy" bits) but then was being Mr Preacher the Grand Moraliser of something he was himself guilty of day in, day out. And he particularly liked to snark on the mommy bloggers which of course his own wife was.
It was always that social media use (and clearly overuse) was totes ok for adults but not at all for kids. There was no teaching of balance, of recognising symptoms that one's relationship to social media was toxic and hurtful, there was only the "stop giving kids smartphones!" message. It's still up on his IG bio page, by the way. 

ETA: And that's how Collin made his living. He was a paid speaker. Just like the influencers he made fun of, he promoted his image and brand of "smartphone wellness" through his internet presence.
