I'm very happy and proud to have a large circle of other white women who have worked very hard for progressive and other Dem candidates nationwide. My friend Carolyn bought 17 THOUSAND postcards for the Reclaim Our Vote campaign and found local friends in our area with about 130K people to write address and send them for the GOTV effort for the Nov 5 election. We had about 3 months to do those. Then, when we knew about the runoff elections, she purchased 14K more cards and we found people to complete them in 3 weeks. It was gratifying work to be able to do something which seemed it could make a difference. So glad we're seeing that it did, in fact, help. I'm very grateful to everyone who wrote, texted, called and knocked on doors like you did! Everyone has their own role to play and it all fits together. The only ones that should feel like they didn't do enough, would be the ones who didn't do anything. Some people are with us in spirit but have zero resources of time/energy/$ to help. While it may seem like they "do nothing" they might be talking to their family and friends to try to change hearts and minds...

I also raided her fridge and ate some stuff before it could spoil. 😛🤪

This would be the icing on the cake! I suspect that’s why they’re waiting to *officially* call it, after the recount hell of November. They project, but want to be sure, that his tally falls outside that margin.

I am a wreck right now, I flip back and forth between being elated and nauseous. But what I am most elated at right now is Mitch holding his seat, getting demoted to Minority Leader and having to sit and watch all his blockades come crashing down around him. I think it’s better karma than having him skulk away in retirement.

The biggest batch of uncounted ballots is in DeKalb County, where Ossoff has won 83% of the vote counted so far. If he maintains that pace he’ll pad his margin by 11,922 votes.

Between the GA special election, the certification of the electoral votes and the nomination of Merrick Garland to AG, Bitchy Mitchy is having a bad day. And I freaking love it!

Thank you for that! I tried to help a friend with a postcard goal and quickly realized I much prefer people shooing me off their porches! Great work! I'm very grateful to everyone who wrote, texted, called and knocked on doors like you did! I am grateful that there are many ways to help on a national level no matter where we live! This is amazing! It makes me so happy that women get together and do something like this. I could only donate money, but I know that what you and your friend did helped turn the tide!!

AP calls win for Ossoff! I think it’s by wide enough margin that there won’t be a recount.

I am so proud and impressed at the people who worked hard for this victory, but especially the record number of black voters who turned up to have their voice heard. I hope this is an event that continues to spread momentum!

This is beautiful. I am still in shock, but reading your enthusiasm makes me teary eyed. I am trying like hell not to pay attention to the domestic terrorism by the alt-right and focus on the good that is coming out of Georgia. I wrote off a win and just felt good there were going to be run offs. I'm relieved beyond words. Given the increase in the super liberal side of the democratic party, I sure hope that a lot of legislation for clean energy gets through, not to mention repealing the tax cuts for the uber wealthy (and increasing their tax rates and decreasing loopholes) and expanding voting rights just for starters. If the next 2 years aren't the most productive we've seen, I'll be shocked in a bad way. Now that democrats have all the control they need, when republicans try and argue that their voices deserve to be heard, I hope all they get is the finger after what they've done the last several years to undercut the country while half of our citizenry cheered them on.
