I can’t believe that there was no plan that was in place to prevent the protesters from gaining access to the Capitol building. This will drag out the certification process, because the Congress have to shelter in place and Pence has been removed. Fucking Trump needs to be thrown in prison for instigating this. He is criminally insane. And a traitor. I cannot believe that this is happening in our country. I can. 4 years ago when he became president, I could have told you this is how it would end. And all of those people who thought we were crazy for saying he's a wannabe dictator and won't leave office peacefully - I won't say I told you so, but there are a lot of people today who are 0% shocked and surprised by this outcome.

If they don't remove him from Office before Jan. 20th, they better arrest his ass immediately after Biden takes the Oath of Office.

CNN just had someone on, not sure who since I was listening and not watching, but trump has installed so many acting lackys (sp?) in his cabinet, invoking the 25th will not happen. |

My Trumper facebook "friends" are saying that it was actually Antifa members that infiltrated the peaceful Trump protest that caused all the chaos. They are showing alleged pictures of Antifa members at a BLM protest and at today's protest. Shaking my damn head. Lots of friend deleting going on right now.

oliquig I am not happy that someone died, but it does make a different to me if she was there to cause trouble or if she was someone that was at the Capitol for another reason. I have been at work and heard that someone was shot, but didn't know the details, which is why I asked.

Trump has gotten what he wanted. He made sure that the lead story tonight will not be the election results in Georgia. THIS. very good point. It ALWAYS has to be all about him. And I just finished the ABC Evening news and it was 7 minutes from being over before David Muir spent about 60 seconds recapping the Georgia election. On any other day, that story would have taken most of the first half of the broadcast. |

I am pretty sure this is the person that was shot and then died. I don’t think that anyone wearing a flag as a cape was supposed to be there. |

It’s more than one bad apple. I’m not saying they’re all guilty but the use of force has been completely different than when BLM, disability protestors et al have been protesting. They basically opened up barricades for them. |

I've seen others (videos) of them basically opening up the barriers to the capitol steps and letting them in and walking with them. and escorting/holding them up and down stairs. and many smiling together |

I am honestly surprised by the events of today, but not how you might be thinking. I am 0% shocked that he would incite a mob to storm the Capitol. What does shock me is that they didn’t go in heavily armed with weapons and a hit list because that is what our country has become over the past four years 😔.
DH and I have fantasized about moving to a Caribbean island more over the past few years than the previous 20 combined. But what occurred to me today is that DT isn’t the one to fear or flee, it is the people he conjured up from their holes that make me even more distraught and those people aren’t going anywhere unfortunately.
