linda I hate moving. So much. I can't imagine trying to move in chunks the way you are, homeschooling, sewing AND scrapping! You're a machine! I'm a sore, very exhausted machine tonight...and I didn't get to scrap or sew...but the car is loaded for another trip in the morning and I'm headed to bed

now I think I could use some cake lol. We ate that homemade cake in 2 days. So today DH bought a "tuxedo" cake at Costco. He was shopping hungry and also brought home apple turnovers (the gym better re-open soon is all I can say!) I am definitely combining challenges now - the one I started tonight has 3 challenges on it. It's *so* different from how I normally approach and design a layout, and that's exactly why I love these challenges!!! "Single digits" temps are nothing to feel wussy about! That's our typical early morning temps here in Jan/Feb, and I do NOT play in those temps. I missed Sunday's crop last week because my Dad suddenly arrived at my door and was confused about his bank card being "broken" and needing food. As gramma says, Alzheimers (or in our case, cognitive impairment related to previous heavy smoking and alcohol overuse) sucks. I'm hoping to play this weekend, and hoping to have new photos to do so with!!! I'm *so* close to getting this 2 year batch to costco, aiming for Thursday! Linda - thinking of you!!!

Hi Pokeys. Because of yesterday's cold temperatures school was closed. It was -34C but the windchill made it feel like -49C according to the weather channel app. Today it warmed up to -29C (-45C with windchill) so teachers had to go to school. Everyone is posting screenshots of the temperature on Facebook. kellyr21 your cards are beautiful. grammadee I can't believe you finished 50 pages already this year. Shopping is a powerful motivation. nylene I know I mentioned this on Saturday, but I'll answer anyway. My 100 day project is colouring again. I like that it can only take a few minutes and that I can use the images on cards. kitbop it was my mom's birthday on Sunday. We had a Zoom party and I bought a little cake for us in honor of her birthday. Everyone needs cake, right? knutschen we had a bunch of red tape trying to get my husband added on the house title and mortgage. They have to make it complicated either way. joyfulnana thanks for hosting Sunday. It was nice to see everyone.
Stay warm!

kitbop - you have me wanting cake. It'll have to wait until we're in the new house - I haven't much enjoyed trying to bake in the roaster oven and we haven't had the electrician out here yet to figure out the issue with the oven's circuit breakers. justjac -those are incredibly cold temperatures - I can't even imagine. bRRRR! Spend the morning at the new house again. Unloaded the car and worked in the kitchen unpacking. Taking tomorrow off and just packing here but I'll be back over there on Thursday so I can let the flooring guys in to drop off materials for Monday's flooring job. Discovered the cold water tap in the faucet doesn't produce water so the plumber will be BACK out on Saturday and the dry wall repair guy will be also. I think that's the end of workers. We'll just need to get internet hooked up. Hoping to finish up my 'new address' cards tonight ...

kitbop and Linda, we have had way too MUCH cake! Two birthday cakes in two weeks with just two people... I have enjoyed the cake without the icing but it takes a little of the joy out of the experience. And then the neighbours dropped off a berry crisp--still WARM--on Sunday! Linda, you definitely deserve a day to recover from all that moving and packing and unpacking. Should have moved your craft room first. Then you could volunteer to take a load over to the new house and then kinda forget to come back for awhile... Glad you got your house paperwork settled, knutschen. Not only are all the little quirks annoying, they also change from time to time, and what you know about the process for the last transaction does not always apply to this one. With her dh away so much, and being overseas right now, he has given dd power of attorney, so she can sign FOR him, which makes things like mortgage renewals go a bit more smoothly. I am having "one of those days"... or at least one of those mornings! My computer decided it should update itself over night, so it took an hour and a call to the technician to get it operating again. For some reason it did not want to reboot. It is running now and what I have been trying has worked, but haven't checked my files or even my email yet. Went looking for some photos to scrap, but can't find them. Did find some others I had planned to scrap this month, but after falling into several rabbit holes, now both counters are covered with piles of stuff that was unearthed in my search, so even if I had any creative ideas left, there is no room to do anything unless I Mad Hatter it and move to a different room. Funny story: for the SECOND time, I found my date stamp! It had disappeared for over a year, and I remember finding it in a strange place a couple of months ago. Hadn't seen it since, but as I was pulling out photos, it popped out of a photo envelope and fell on the floor. I swear that thing is playing tricks on me. Does it know I am not in the mood?!? Okay. Deep breath and one more swallow of coffee, and I am diving into all that stuff on the counters. TTYL.

grammadee, I am glad you found your date stamp. I get so irritated at myself when I put something away in a "special place" and then it's lost for months! I'm sorry your computer was being stubborn this a.m. It must be the cold; it just didn't want to get up. I'm glad you got it going. knutschen, so nice to "see" you. I'm glad you got the paperwork together for your refinance. Doesn't it seem like there are just too many hoops to jump through? Stay safe at work. I think about you and kitbop in the thick of all the medical issues. Hang in there. How are your pets doing? I thought I would briefly fill you in on the "tooth saga". My dentist sent me back to the Endodontist, but it took 5 days to get in. I saw him yesterday and he didn't agree with my Dentist that there is a crack in the tooth. That tooth wasn't responding to the cold, but the one behind did. He looked it over and decided to grind it down a little. He said the upper teeth were pounding on that tender tooth. Three minutes later I was able to bite down on that side of my mouth for the first time since Christmas. I actually chewed some chicken last night. The aching will continue for 4-5 days, but will stop. I can't take ibuprofen or it would be much better. So now I need a crown on that tooth and we will watch to see if the back one stays sensitive. I can't believe I have been in such agony for a month because of the height of the filling. I am faithful at seeing my dentist twice a year, so this came out of nowhere.

some cards I managed to fit in between packing and unpacking... DD20's best friend just moved out on her own and a week later announced her engagement DS just bought his first house And I made 14 new address cards to send out to family and friends I think that's the end of my scrapping for a while. I need to finish packing up the scrap space and then unpack at the new house

grammadee - that is rather a lot for two people but I'm sure it was all delicious! Glad that you found the date stamp - I seem to have misplaced my 'Happy New Home' stamp between making the card for DD's friend and making the card for DS...sigh. Most of the craft room is moved except the furniture and the few things I kept back to finish up the cards. This isn't a great pic as it was raining and there isn't a light in that room yet (no overhead lighting) nylene - SO glad that your tooth is finally on the mend. Can't believe it took that long to get it fixed for you.

I can't believe I have been in such agony for a month because of the height of the filling Sometimes it's the little things that are hardest to observe but make a huge difference. that it feels better! grammadee - I have a washi tape package by Simple Stories that has been missing for 2 years and still drives me nuts. Can you check your photo envelopes please? Linda - You are so productive! If I were working so hard on the moving, I'd be comatose in a corner with my iphone if I had any spare time! Speaking of which... I have editted all. the. photos. Now I just have to "duplex" them - my term for putting 2 3x4s on a single 4x6 jpeg for printing. Hoping to get this done tonight, and take them to costco tomorrow. Wish me luck and pass me a thicker seat cushion...

Nope, no washi tape case here, kitbop. Unless it is and I just have not seen it! Just checked, and my date stamp is still right there where I can see it. Might be waiting until dark to make a getaway, though... I now have some space to play in here. And I have at least some of the photos I found paired with papers. Dh has some medical appointments in the morning, so I am hoping to play with paper then. Thought I would share some of my February pages here. Awesome Layouts grammadee - that heart with the brads and eyelets is amazing! Did you make your own backgrounds? They look geat! kitbop - well done on the editing. How is the duplexing coming? I was over at the new house again this morning. Our new flooring was delivered -it has to acclimaate to the inside before they install it on Monday. I got more of the kitchen unpacked (I now need to pack more of it so I can unpack more tomorrow). The upstairs hall closet is all unpacked - it has office supplies, games, suitcases...and empty space still. The upstairs vacuum will live there also. And I got my scrapbooking table set up in the craft room - it just needs a chair. I haven't unearthed my dies and Epic Six yet - but other than that, I think all of the supplies are unpacked. The albums will need to wait - I have 2 2x4 cubes that still need to be moved and I want to buy 5x5 cubes but those are currently out of stock so...I'll be living with boxes of albums for a while. Sewing desk is moving Saturday I think.

Happy Thursday! It is a nice sunny day today. I hope you all are having a good day. I will be editing my new video, working on cards, scrapbooking and art today. I signed up for an art class on M's for this afternoon. I took Paige Evans class with M's last week. It was a Zoom call and a fun project. nylene- SOOOO happy you got some relief in your tooth. I know living with pain is truly a pain! I hope it continues to get better. Hugs linda- Your craft room is looking good! I wish we could all come and play with you! Your cards are beautiful and I know your loved ones will enjoy receiving them. justjac- I hope school is going well. grammadee- Your layouts look good. I especially like the circle one.

O-8 ORDER UP! One point for each photo printed (even if you do your own), Double points if you are a regular Costco print user and are going nuts trying to get a bunch of photos printed before they remove the photo print centers on Feb 14th! Ahem, this proud pea just earned her team 1369 x 2 points and is too lazy to work that math out. But it's more points than I've ever earned in a month before

kitbop , I forgot about the printing of photo points. I picked up over 100 in the last week. I had to get them in before the 10th. Em helped me get them copied so I could order them. DH wanted me to order ALL the wedding photos but changed his mind when there were over 700. The groom's sister has a Photography business and did the photos for a wedding gift. Kellyr21, I love your Valentines. They are so dainty and super classy. I know you will find good homes for them and recipients will be delighted. Linda , your scrap set up makes me long to go join you and sit down to scrap. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all really sit together to scrap. Sat and Sun online crops are just about that good. Can't wait til you are all set up to join us. I can't usually do Sun. but I try to work Sat around that time. Hope you have the stamina to continue with the moving and are not wearing yourself out! BTW, I love those house stamps. What beautiful artwork on them. Your cards are very pretty. I'm surprised you are getting any scrapping done. grammadee , I will give your layouts a close look in the gallery. You are really moving along. I think I have hit a roadblock. Nothing seems to come together like I have in my mind. LOL. justjac , are you back to school again or is it still that cold? gramma , I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

well done kitbop! That was a huge undertaking! nylene - thank you - it would be wonderful if we could have a Pokey Peas crop. I am hoping to figure out a way to join the weekend crops once we're all settled in. We were hoping to move furniture this weekend but our trailer is open and it's supposed to rain for the next four days. So I'll be loading up the car tonight and we'll bring it over in the morning since someone has to be there to meet the plumber and drywall guy and then on Sunday we might head to Ikea (it's nearly 2 hrs away) so I can buy a bedframe for the guest room. We're still having issues with the electric company - we currently have temporary power to the house and apparently they haven't yet fixed the grounding issue so our lights still aren't working properly. Sadly we're switching from a co-op electric company that is fabulous to a BIG electric company that doesn't have a stellar customer service rep. WOW - lots of wedding photos - looking forward to seeing the layouts

Happy Friday! Waving hi to you all! Here is the link to my new YT video. I was inspired by HS's tag books and YouTuber, Melanie of SheShed Scrapper. Melanie has some great ideas on her channel of how to use a 6x6 pp on your layouts. So I combined both of these ideas into one layout. So cute! Good Saturday morning, Pokeys! How are you all doing? Linda, my back hurts just thinking about all the packing and unpacking you are doing these days. Hope all the glitches have been worked out and that the weather cooperates for the rest of your move. Congrats on getting that mega photo order completed, kitbop! I see you have been on fire creating since the order went in. Can only imagine the pages that will come out once the pic's arrive! kellyr21 I love your stories of weekends with your dh, relaxing at home or exploring the sites around you. And I am really happy that you are crafting pages and cards, making videos and enjoying your creativity. How is the tooth now, nylene? Amazing how a small change can result in a huge difference! I have read stories about people who had debilitating headaches from grinding their teeth at night, and a simple mouth guard changed their lives, so I can believe how grinding that tooth down could reduce your jaw pain. Hoping the receipt of those wedding photos will get your creative juices flowing again. Unless your temporary block is the result of trying to make each page special. I think sometimes I turn out pages like gramma turns out donation cards. These pages I am not really worried about "getting it right", so I am free to just grab paper and glue. Not even sure how many people will actually see these pages, as they will be going into albums from past seasons. And I had already scrapped the photos I was itching to scrap and moved on. And this room is my happy place... I was planning to do a page with today's sketch this morning, but am still looking for a couple of elements I am hoping to put on it, so instead I think I am going to kit up everything as I find it, then put it together tomorrow during the virtual crop. Think I will work on typing up some stories of my childhood for gramma's challenges. I have lots of memories of riding my horse through fall leaves, but no photos. Trying to figure out how I might be able to do something with the mood board (spring colours) with that story. My mind--like my body--doesn't LIKE to stretch LOL, but unlike in gym class in high school, I will try to do more than just whine about it... The weather is "warming up" here: just -22C this morning (about 0 degrees F, so not so bad). And the miracle is it is not snowing, as we expect it to when temps change. So I am hoping to get into Lloyd next week. My goal is to print photos, pick up an order and SHOP in the LSS, use my Christmas gc's at M's and the book store, and hoping to catch up with justjac if there is a coffee shop open. My computer seems to be behaving the last couple of days, but I plan to take it in to be looked at by a technician while I am in town. And of course dh is already preparing a list of errands he would like me to run while there.

Not so much packing/unpacking today - loaded up the car this morning and headed to the house. All the boxes were either for DH's hobby room (which is waiting on flooring so they went in the garage) or DD14's room so nothing to unpack. Spent the whole day there though because the dry wall guy was supposed to come in the morning but didn't come until late afternoon (he was doing us a favour so...) and the plumber was scheduled for 3 (but came early - he texted to make sure that was ok). It was 7 before we headed home. We got several things assembled or fixed though - not the internet though, we had to schedule a tech for Monday. I ran out of things to do so actually got to scrapbook. DS moved today (he hired movers) so that was exciting. nylene - also hoping your tooth pain is gone. grammadee - brrr! That's not warming up in my book - it's warmed up here though, in the 70s. I hope you get to shop and catch up with justjac

I am trying to stay warm with all these crazy low temps and impending snow the next few days. We got I believe about 3 inches today. I had to carry Miss Phoebe outside because she isn’t into the cold. She did her thing and was on the back porch waiting for me to let her in! Poor pup! 35 more days till Spring! We can do it! kellyr21, Yes, I have been doing some digital art on my iPad using an app called Procreate. I keep following prompts from a YouTube channel, “Art with Flo”. It has helped me learn some basic things about the app. I hope to someday figure out how to make my own stickers and print them on my Cameo. I love seeing your art and LO’s you have been making! nylene, The Covid numbers are down about half the last month. It is still quite busy and many nights they have us flex up the amount of patients they want us to take. One night we were short one nurse but they still had us flex. I don’t like it when they do things like that. My fur babies are doing good. The kitties can be found on a floor vent when the heat turns on. Smart little things! Miss Phoebe is staying close to me snuggling. I put a small Blink camera on the top of her crate to watch her when I am not home. I have been having people at work asking to see what my dog is doing. I can even talk to her if I wanted. I had better get busy with my art. I am at the Mudhouse relaxing and they will close in about 30 minutes. I am going to do a little shopping when I leave then head home.

Happy Monday? It’s getting us closer to weather about freezing so I’ll take it! I’m not sure what’s wrong with me this month. I have so many layouts that are not finished and quite a lot I want to start. Printing pictures and choosing from the prints I have seems to be the problem. It feels like such a chore. Congrats on all the photos and points for it kitbop. That’s a lot of photos! I need to look closer at the 28-4-28 challenges and get started on them! I wanted to pop in and say hi. It was so fun to make both crops this weekend and maybe it was because of the cold, but it was awesome to see so many peas joining in! I hope you will be able to join us soon Linda.

It's supposed to get up to -16C today. Whoooo Hoooo! And only 2% chance of snow. Heading into Lloyd for the day before dh gets another weather report LOL. I get to print photos, shop for scrappy stuff, see justjac; so, an adventure! Taking my computer in, so really hoping those guys can finish with it by end of day or I will be without it for awhile. I can use my ipad, but not nearly as easy as on the computer for navigating through this site and uploading photos. Okay. Need to shut this off and get it to the door. Then off to get dressed and get outta here....
