Did you see her original video where she said she used Gorilla Glue instead of her usual hair glue because she ran out? I mean... Does every package need to come with a warning because people lack common sense?
OMG! There's a GFM for her!!!

Seriously though, I am super annoyed that her stupidity is being rewarded.

The reasons I saw on Twitter range from "she has kids" to "GG should help her" and "be kind". Er... What??? And, she's had it in her hair for a month?! A MONTH!!!

If she is seriously "weighing her legal options", I hope the courts throw out any lawsuit that is filed on her behalf. This is ridiculous, but not surprising. Trying to hold others accountable for her stupidity. And she's already crowdfunding. Smh.

omg i was just telling DH about this last night. seriously---what made her think this was a good idea. i love Gorilla Glue and have used it on various things because of it's super hold. it's annoying just to get a bit on my hands so i use pure acetone for clean up. i can't even imagine trying to get it out of something as delicate as hair that was flattened down and bunch together. you're almost better off just shaving it all off.

At this point, throw in the towel, shave it off, get a wig and move on. You made a mistake. Deal.

OMG I totally agree with everyone on this thread! There was a Twitter thread over the weekend that had over 150K likes where the poster just could not believe that Gorilla Glue had not made a statement and helped this poor girl out because it was essentially their fault because they didn't put a disclaimer to not use on hair. Seriously!
It's this logic that really frightens me for our country.

Apparently she CAN'T EVEN shave it off, it's altered the state of her hair that much, right down to the roots.
I see expensive wigs in her future. Surgery, even.

I had a friend in college that let us use washable Elmer’s glue in his hair to give him statue of liberty spikes, it took a week to get washable glue out of his hair. He knew what he was getting into though and was full prepared to shave his head.
I just can’t wrap my head around someone being so stupid as to use Gorilla Glue spray adhesive because they didn’t have their regular hair glue. I don’t use Dawn dish detergent if I am out of toothpaste for Gods sake. I am just mind boggled by the thought process behind this decision.
And if I were that stupid I sure as hell wouldn’t be advertising it all over the internet.

I think I saw that she normally used Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray but ran out so thought since they both said glue on the can and the warning didn't say NOT to use it in your hair that she gave it a go. I hope her case gets thrown out of court.

Sweet heavens - I thought she had maybe used it to put in extensions, which would have been dumb but maybe kinda sort understandable. She used the stuff instead of HAIR SPRAY? And said she thought it would be ok, because the label said not to use it on skin or near eyes, but it didn't say anything about hair. Doesn't hair attach to your skin? And aren't your eyes really close to the hair on your head, especially when you are spraying things? Stupidity of that level should be illegal.

That is just...ugh.
But does anyone wonder what is going to happen with her head? Will her hair continue to grow? Will the glue eventually wear away (says it is permanent?)? What kind of health problems could she end up with? Do you think she used GG to glue on those lashes?

For those of you who aren’t black, you may not know there’s an actual product called Gorilla Snot that we often use to get our hair to lay down. The packaging also has a gorilla on it and yes, I’ve confused them before. I don’t keep my gorilla glue and gorilla snot in the same place so I wouldn’t be in this situation.
I’m not saying she thought the two were the same, but I really don’t think it’s fair to say some of what I’ve seen in this thread.
Yes, I’m perplexed by the whole thing and yes, I wonder if it’s a scam. But I’m not going to automatically say negative things about her. No doubt she’s in pain of it’s real.

She certainly can't use a razor like we use to shave our legs, maybe a straight razor? She might just have to let it wear off..

I was reading about this on twitter and one author made an argument that this is just another form of racism. That the expectation on Black women’s beauty are so high that they’ll do anything to conform, including glue their own hair. Someone did mention the product you mention. It’s my understanding though that this woman didn’t think she was grabbing the other product, she just didn’t think it would be a problem to use it as she did. I admit, this POV surprised me.

I had read about the Gorilla snot and really felt sorry for her when it seemed like she was saying she made a huge mistake. And I do still feel sorry for her situation, but the whole “weighing her legal options” now seems like she’s going to try to capitalize on something that was her own foolish mistake.

If she said that she accidentally grabbed the gorilla glue instead of the gorilla snot, that would be one thing. But she said that she ran out of her usual hairspray and thought the GG would be ok since it didn't say not to put it in hair. I don't see how saying it is stupid to think glue would be ok in your hair is racist.
Although I do think it was not a smart thing to do, I feel badly for her. I would for sure be panicking if I had that going on, and for it to be going viral (although I assume she put it out there?).

I don't think she is a scammer. Clearly, she made a huge mistake. I'm glad this has gone viral because I think it will help her get what she needs to get through this. (Financial help she can use to cover the cost of removal/after care, and maybe there are professionals who will offer their services.)
I do not, however, think suing is the correct course of action. It's pretty clear from the packaging that Gorilla Glue is not to be used on one's body. She bears responsibility for this mistake.
I feel really bad for her and hope she doesn't suffer permanent damage to her hair and/or scalp from this.
